If you need knives sharpened in the Reno or even Carson City area, Taylor here at Se Ecglast, is…read morethe guy to see. He's a blade expert, even creates his own knives from scratch. What's nice is his prices are reasonable for hand sharpening ... no using some grinding machine that will take off more of your knife's edge than needed. The price is just $2.00 per inch of blade. So, around $12 - $15 for your big chef's knife. That knife will be sharper than you've ever had it most likely. If you have some nice German or even a super high end Japanese knife, you need to get a proper sharpening that will last, this is the place to come. The way Taylor works is, he uses Nothing to It Culinary https://www.yelp.com/biz/nothing-to-it-culinary-center-reno in South Reno to take in the knives and get them back to you. Just drop off the knives during the week, he'll sharpen on Sunday's and they'll be ready for you to pick up on Monday. You pay the shop for his knife services, they even take credit cards for this too! I was a little worried having my $300 Shun knife sharpened, as Shun includes free factory sharpening with all their knives, but the shipping charges added up to more than what Taylor was gonna charge and it was a 3 week turnaround. Taylor did a fantastic job, having full knowledge of the proper angles the Japanese knife need to be sharpened, vs a German or cleaver. Just a few days later and only $12 to sharpen, that fancy knife was sharp as new! Barely pull across a thick tomato skin and slice right through with no weight on it. Wow! So, no matter what kind of knife you have, this is the place to come for the best sharpening services in Reno. He even sharpened my Buck hunting knife to wow super sharp.

Once we finalized the design and wanted to order it was suggested we pick up trials. We were told they would be ready Monday, drove in from Reno only to find they were not ready. Ordered a portion of uniforms and paid for all socks on invoice. Then was charged again on second order for socks. Once uniforms were ready we picked them up only to find that socks were missing once back home. Had to have a grandparent pick up socks one week later. We're never told the socks were men's socks and not kids socks. I understand it's a small business but there were many mistakes. We paid $77 for uniforms and most parents complained of the way they fit not being the same as the trial. The owner said it was due to excessive washing on the trials. After all we got out uniforms but I would not order from here again. Not worth the headache

On March 5th I ordered some custom colored masks for my first live event since my business had been shutdown and it was really important to me that I had certain colored masks for certain outfits at the conference that I was emceeing. We had several conversations back and forth about the size and I sent multiple photos. A month later, she told me that the had arrived but they sent the toddler size. I reminded her that timing was really important as I was leaving town on April 23. On Tuesday the 20th she messaged me that they were in. I live an hour away and asked her to ship them because I was so busy getting ready for the conference. Needless to say, they didn't arrive on time. They weren't shipped until the next day, and no effort was made to get them to me in time....not even priority mail which would have worked. When I asked about them on Thursday, she told me she had "no control over shipping" which I found sad and hilarious. The real kicker for me was that when I got home from trip I found them...the "emerald" one was a hideous shade of green and not even close to emerald. Plus, they were a full inch too small and don't even fit my son. Will be taking all of my business elsewhere in the future.
