There were 3 things that stood out to me about this little shop. 1) I was surprised to find a pretty decent selection of eco-conscious bath and home products, including Stasher Bags in various sizes and colors. 2) There is a TerraCycle recycle box for difficult to recycle containers (like makeup). I wish these were available at more businesses! These recycle boxes are not free to the businesses that have them, so keep that in mind. 3) Griselda, the Tarot card gum-ball machine! 50 cents will get you the cutest miniature tarot reading. There is a handy book next to the tarot-ball machine so that you can interpret your card. And I get there and they say they are out of stock of 3 of my four items. Why did they just sell me out of stock items and not tell me. Now I have to call on the phone and convince them I didn't actually get the three items I paid for and they need to credit my card. I didn't have the time to drive 2 blocks and back wait in line again. Update: they don't take phone calls on the weekend, even though they are open. !!?! And all of this took an hour, which should have taken less than 5 minutes and completely messed up my whole day of scheduled events.

As usual for Costco, the value is insane as you get 5 massive chicken fingers for $6.99 and it comes with a big cup of sauce, but pictures don't really do them justice because these were pretty thick pieces of chicken. They were seasoned and cooked perfectly, and the sauce was perfectly portioned, it is the exact amount of sauce needed, and it is excellent and tangy. This is going to be a dangerous item for me, because not only am I going to get them again and again, but I might be getting them instead of Raising Cane's, which is insane to me. I also got a cookie, which honestly was good but cooked a little too much for my taste, as it was too crisp and almost burnt, and I prefer mine a little softer. But a nice addition is they added call in number for ordering whole pizzas ahead of time for pickup!

They had a great set up, with cutting boards and food to try the knives out. After 10 minutes cutting with various demo knives, we bought a set of five. After much anticipation, our knives came in the mail about 4 weeks later. We have had them for about 3 months now, and these have become our favorite knives. The Hammer Stahl knives are nicer than any Wusthof or Zwilling knives we have bought previously. They are razor sharp, have full tangs and beautiful wood inlaid handles, and have a lovely heft and balance to them. They almost make prep a pleasure!
