Either way, I will buy her a new watch. Ambiance - Small shop inside the women's Macy's; there is a Men's Macy's in this mall also. Oh, and a Macy's furniture location across the street. Open 7 days a week. Plenty of mall parking. Service - 5 Stars, she was very professional and honest. But these prices are just too rich for me/us. Price - Expensive. After there watchmaker inspected the watch we were quoted a fair price and elected to leave it for repair. We were told up front that sourcing parts can take quite some time on vintage high end watches , but to our amazement the repairs were completed in just 3 weeks after drop off , running & looking like a new watch !!!!! I showed them the site, the desired jewelry item, and there staff was able to match it. No, the price was not the same. There was a 23% increase after taxes and all. I'm ok with this. I have a local business, who sized her hand, made the adjustments to the item, and I have a warranty, and a place to have the jewelry item maintained. Top notch customer service also. Instead of calmly explaining the policy, the manager became rude and visibly upset because he couldn't clearly explain how the discount works. The interaction was uncomfortable, and even the employees seemed embarrassed--they were looking at each other because of the manager's behavior. I wasn't trying to argue; I just wanted clarification on the store's military discount policy. I believe customers deserve to be treated with respect, especially when asking honest questions. A professional and courteous explanation would have gone a long way. I hope management works on improving customer service and communication.
