Spicy margarita
Lisa E.

Came here with girlfriends on a weekday night. Wasnt busy at all, which was nice bc they let us sit and talk without making us feel rushed. Huge bar and quite a few tables for dining. Great margaritas and food! Service was attentive. We all had leftovers. Authentic and delicious. I hadn't been here in years, but will be back.

Everything here was great from the greeting to the service. Verde Pozole, and to top it all off when it's 9° outside with the windchill of -9 and we forgot a left over at the table. Brenda ran it out to us and found us in our car. Highly recommend

Always great food and friendly service. The menu is pretty big and has a few items you don't always see, like a Gordita. Portions are huge as well so you can choose between leftovers or so full you'll waddle to the car. They also have a kid menu not shown online.

Since moving to the suburbs, I have struggled to find good Mexican food. I tried Señor Luna not too long ago and would say it's potentially the best in the area that I've tried so far. The service was very fast - almost to the point where you feel a little bit rushed. The ambience is pretty relaxed and definitely family friendly. It is definitely not authentic, but worth a try. I ordered a burrito and thought that getting queso with it meant it would be inside the burrito or on the side. I did not realize the entire thing would be drenched. The queso tasted a little too much like Velveeta for my liking. I ended up just eating all the filling of the burrito, which was actually pretty good. The corn did not have much flavor. The onion rings were crispy - a little bit of a weird side to offer, but I figured I'd try them. I will probably come back to try some of their other food, but understanding it's not the most authentic place.

I am writing this review as I eat my leftovers from last night. Yes, the servings are big so you will be well sated. First time customers, and the weather was nice, so the outdoor tables were open. However, we sat inside to get an idea of the entire place. It's cute, seats lots, and has a large bar area. There are lots of different-sized tables so that's great for as many friends to want to go with. Our server, Gemma, was really good and did a great job because the menu is HUGE! To start, the blended house margaritas were really good with many flavors to choose from. The drink menu alone is extensive. We ordered Steak Tacos, which filled the plate. The two sides that come with it are also plentiful. The steak did not have much flavor, as I had expected. The cheese was well hidden, too. I found them a bit bland, and they are the same this morning. However, the Ground Beef Quesadillas were spectacular! The 1/2 portion is huge, and thankfully Gemma told us so before we ordered a full order. The beef was seasoned so well, and the order was overflowing the plate. All in all we were satisfied, and I know to order the ground beef next time. But the place serves lots of options, and the tables turn over quickly so it must have a nice following. Yes, give it a try. The prices are appropriate.

Last night we had a large party for a 60th birthday. The food and drinks where delicious as always. Especially the seafood enchilada and mango margarita!! Our server, Madison, was absolutely outstanding. She handled our party of 22 like a pro. Everything went like clockwork and she was attentive, anticipatory and really friendly. She is a TRUE asset to your restaurant. Especially because she handled it all by herself!! The food runner was also courteous and efficient, quickly getting everyone their dishes. And the fact that your kitchen can get that many orders spot on, without error, and out all at once is amazing. Our running group loves your restaurant so much. Thanks again for allowing me to bring in a birthday dessert and for always being so accommodating to our group!! It's why we keep coming back.

Loving the divey vibe and welcoming atmosphere from the staff members! I ordered their newly added fish filet sandwich with a side of onion rings. Thin and crispy batter on both the onion rings and fish filet. Tangy tartar sauce was an excellent flavor profile. Volume was huge so I saved the half for my late snack

Our go - to Mexican place! The service is always phenomenal. The food is always delicious. I've tried everything from their burritos to quesadillas to fajitas, and honestly have never had something I didn't enjoy! One of my favorite items on the menu is the queso + chorizo - SO GOOD. And the margs (especially the watermelon jalapeño one) are so good. If the weather is nice enough, sitting on the patio is the best spot to be! Love this place and will continue going here!

Love the spinach enchiladas! The margaritas are always delish with a good punch, but without the overkill taste of straight tequila.

The place is obviously a…read morerepurposed restaurant because it was two dining rooms with a bar and a fire place in the smaller dining room. The colors were tame and not all the bright colors like some Mexican restaurants. The tables and chairs were out of place because they had a country look to them. My server was super friendly and very nice for a very young woman. I was served chips and salsa while waiting for my strawberry margarita. The chips were warm and fresh but not seasoned. The salsa looked horrible because it was a purée but to my surprise it was the most flavorful part of my lunch with a nice garlic flavor. The strawberry margarita was above average because it had booze in it and a deep strawberry flavor that screamed strawberry, thank you. With only my order in the kitchen my food came very quick, the place was empty. I ordered the combination plate with a first for me, chicken in Mexican food for some reason. I had a ground beef taco, chicken enchilada and al pastor tostada with rice/beans. Although the food was good it was Americanized, bland and not seasoned. All the meats were moist I must say. I got the impression that they were cooking for the elderly population in Muskego. Overall if authentic Mexican food is not what your looking for and tame Americanized is your preference than this is the place for you.

The fresh salsa and warm chips are a great starter, but I also suggest the fresh guacamole! The interior has been freshened up a bit, and offers ample seating in two dining rooms. There's a bar up front as well. The restaurant is always clean inside and out, as are the restrooms. There's a generous amount of parking and easy access off of Janesville Road. I'm a big fan. For the past several months I've been able to try a variety of dishes and have yet to be disappointed. Meat options are chicken, beef and pork. My money is on the pork every time. It's cooked so perfectly with a little bit of char... perfect! I wish I could recommend a specific dish, but so far I've loved everything equally. Please, stop on in for some delicious and authentic Mexican food!

Tortillas were crispy and fried to perfection. The consommé was delicious, had me drinking it straight out the cup and was well seasoned, hot, and was in its own something to right about. The red and green salsas were also good. Red having a bit of kick, green was flavorful. I will say that I wish one of them had more heat to it but the acidity and flavors were great. The beef itself was so flavorful and tender, well seasoned, not to mention had the perfect amount in each item. Also, Onions and peppers on the side were cooked great and had me going back for more each time. Also, get the horchata, it was spectacular. This place is small but decorated to really feel like the owners, workers, really care and take pride in the establishment. It had a great ambiance that was full of people on a rainy lunch hour, and I can see why. As a person who works in the industry as a cook, the kitchen, which you can see when you order is neat, clean, and truly has the right feel of 'they know what they're doing and they're doing it well'. 5 stars, will be talking about this meal for a long time and spreading the recommendation to as many people as I can.

Their chicharron tacos in green salsa taste just like mom made them, and all their meats have a flavor you have to hunt down and go through 5-10 different spots to find them in other cities. Service is friendly, and the establishment is what you want a good Mexican restaurant to look like. The TV playing '90s Mexican music videos was a nice bonus. This is the best Mexican food in Milwaukee, the closest thing to it, and probably still falling short would be Atotonilco in Chicago. Don't overdo the brats, and head on over here for delicious and authentic Mexican food.

Love this place, never go more than 2 weeks before we circle back and order again. It's fantastic!…read more The food is delicious. Period. They have the best Tripe tacos I've ever had. Followed by the Lengua tacos. WOW. Of course you have to try the Quesabirria Tacos w/consume. Dynamite! My wife always gets the chicken enchilada in salsa roja, my daughter a quesadilla (she boring). Jalisco has the BEST sides of rice and beans I've ever had in a Mexican establishment, great flavors and respect for the ingredients and cooking process so everything shines through. They have Elote too, not quite the traditional way but damn I can't stop eating it! I've tried almost the whole menu; the lomo en salsa de arbol, carne asada, chile rellenos, bistec à la mexicana, gorditas w/carnitas & chorizo. I could eat here everyday! It's a cute little place with great service. Recently I caught some World Cup action while we waited. Different beers and sodas (Modelo, Jarritos) are available, as well as fresh guacamole and pico de gallo. They make a spicy taco salsa that's the right amount of heat and flavor. Give the a try, you won't regret it! Never errored an order of mine either, very consistent - and affordable! Like wow!

The layout of the place is peculiar, and it didn't help that somebody left a broom and the garbage in the middle of room. The cook was also standing there, too; with his phone, just a few steps away from us. The whole things was weird and gave us the goosebumps. I wouldn't even try to go back.

The beans were soft, warm, and flavorful, with a subtle smoky, almost bacon-like flavor that gave them some extra depth without being overpowering. The rice had a good blend of seasoning and spices, and you could taste the flavor throughout. The only downside was that it was a little on the tougher side and could have been softer and more moist. The chicken was tender and juicy, and the vegetables tasted fresh. This was one of my favorite parts of the meal because everything came together nicely. The salsa was really good and wasn't overly spicy. It wasn't your typical tomato-heavy salsa either. It had a bolder roasted and smoky flavor with a little kick. It had enough spice to give it some character without being overwhelming. The tortillas were a good size and easy to eat. They had that authentic-style tortilla flavor I enjoy, although they were a little bland on their own and could have used a touch more seasoning. The chips were fresh, thin, and crispy, exactly how I like them. They had a great crunch and paired really well with the salsa. The El Jefe was definitely one of the more fun drinks. It comes with Exotico Reposado, Ancho Reyes, and their agave house sour, with a salt and pepper rim. The tequila is served separately, so you get to shake and pour it yourself at the table. I liked that little interactive touch, and the drink had a nice balance of sweet, citrusy, and a little smoky heat from the Ancho Reyes. I also tried their espresso martini. Perfect blend of tequila and coffee. Both drinks were flavorful and worth trying if you like cocktails with a little something extra. The service was okay overall. Our waiter did come by to take our drink and food orders and checked on us when needed, but he didn't seem quite as attentive as I would have liked. It seemed like he was also focused on getting some of his closing tasks done, so there wasn't much extra check-in throughout the meal when I wanted to order my second drink. That said, we still got everything we needed, so I'd describe the service as okay. Overall, I enjoyed the meal and drinks. A couple of things could have been a little better, but there were enough good flavors that I'd be open to coming back and trying more from the menu.
