Got here at noon on a Sunday. Super busy but was seated right away. Ordered a jalapeño margarita which was nothing to write home about. Not worth the $10 it was. My tacos al pastor were flavorful though and came with rice and beans. My friend ordered a burrito dinner which he said was super delicious. He had a soda. FREE CHIPS AND SALSA! Only waited 10 minutes for our food. Total bill was only $41 for a 3 taco dinner, burrito dinner, soda, and a jalapeño Margarita.

There food is wonderful They have a large selection to choose from. There prices are reasonable. And the server Sergio is extremely good. I enjoy There Fajitas, especially since the put carrots in the mix.

I too was lured in here by the attractive and inviting murals on the outside, and hey, it's called "Los Mariachis," that sounds so festive. It's really more of a diner serving Gringo Mexican-American, and the dated interior is set up for Friday and Saturday night middle aged classic rock dancing. They have some beautiful carved wooden table tops though. The evening dinner prices a little high, especially in a town that has so many more authentic Mexican choices, and Anglo style pseudo Mexican with fancier decor. Lunch on the other hand is a great deal here, they have a good selection of lunch specials. Service is friendly though not particularly Mexican, ample parking in their own lot and just to be sure you're clear on this, no Mariachis.

This is my second Mexican restaurant to go to . It needs remodeling but it is what it is. The food is hot and pretty good . They have good lunch specials during the week. The chimichangas are good sized. They have a separated bar area with specials as well. Waitstaff are sporting masks and sanitizer is available but smells like tequila fyi. Its a smaller space but have separated tables for safety. Waitress was nice and did a good job. Nothing fancy just pretty good filling food.

Pathetic looking steak burrito in the bur dinner, smallest burrito.

A guy at work raves about this place and he is all ways telling me to go here but I don't trust his judgment because he also says a certain pool hall in town has good Mexican food. I put it off for a long time but today this was my lunch spot and I knew something was off for 3/4 of the place empty on a Saturday at 1 pm. The parking lot is very small compared to how big the inside was, no way if the place was full you would park at least a block away. The place is typical Mexican decor with a bar and dance/band area to the right and to the left booths and tables. There is lots of wood and brick to give the feel of a Mexican villa with carved tables and glass tops. Yes your servers name is on the end of the tabla if you have problems remembering people's names. I experienced no service issue and Carolyn came around enough to be helpful and not bothersome. I started with chips and salsa which came over right away and I ordered a margarita on the rocks. The chips were house made and very fresh but not seasoned. The house made salsas were good but only the hot worked for me because the mild was boring. The hot was not super hot but enough to make my nose run and I didn't leave a drop. The margarita was average at best and came in a full glass. I have been craving a steak burrito for some time now and that would be what I would order. It comes with beans, rice, guacamole, sour cream and a small salad. I will post pictures. At first glance I thought they messed up and gave me an quesadilla dinner because this was the smallest/flattest burrito I have ever been served from a Mexican place, see the picture. The steak burrito was barely taller than the sides on my plate and I was disappointed. The steak burrito only has a small amount steak, grilled onions and tomatoes inside it which looks like a slightly bigger enchilada or a quesadilla. The presentation for the steak burrito dinner was nicer than most Mexican places. The steak was juicy and slightly seasoned that is chopped into tiny pieces with no fat or gristle in my plate. The beans were ok and slightly seasoned. The rice was ok also. Everything tasted ok. Over all the steak burrito was disappointing because of its size. This is an average Mexican place that will not replace anyone of Milwaukee's finest ones that most people agree on. I would not say don't eat here because it's not horrible but I wouldn't drive over as a destination restaurant.

Date night. Wife had taco, rice and beans. No flavor. Nothing seasoned. I had a burrito. Same thing. Bland. Do not recommend.

Food is tasty, as well as chips & salsa. But the restaurant overall looks a little dirty and could use a remodel. Prices are decent.

I loved the variety of the menu, especially the vegetarian options, which are hard to come by in a lot of Mexican restaurants. In the past few years since I've moved back to Milwaukee, I've eaten at this location several times. It's about 6 blocks from my house and I still find veggie Mexican options to be rarer than I'd like. Generally the food is good, if no longer great. I wonder if their expansion and success has spread them thin over the years. Sometimes the service is good, sometimes it's like an afterthought. I've also ordered delivery from them many times and it's been generally fine, but not often great. Tonight I ordered delivery, paid extra for expedited service, and I really just wanted some good cheese and onion enchiladas. The delivery time was quick. Despite that, my food was cold. My black beans - literally cold. The cheese enchiladas - um, the cheese on top wasn't even melted. The rice had no flavor at all, like it could have literally been plain white, tepid rice. So I don't know what is going on at Cafe Corazon, but it's just not good anymore and that makes me really sad.

Get here early - parking sucks, and suburbanites will freak out at the hood, but no worries Jesus is right next door at St. Josaphats basilica and will watch over you. And don't forget to take a tour of one of this country's most beautiful cathedrals. Right there by Don Luchos. You can eat here. Lots of long communal tables so don't be shy. Prices aren't cheap but this is quality. I usually get a pound or so of carnitas. They measure it out, it's steaming, and ask if you want it chopped. I say yes. It's wrapped up tightly and it will feed you all weekend. This meat is freaking amazing!!!! I pray they haven't run out of homemade tortillas, but like I said, you gotta come EARLY. Sigh. There's about 6 different amazing salsas to try. Smoky, fresh, green, red, hot sweet - I get two for the weekend. I consider a quart of menudo. I think about. Lamb, goat, barbacoa, chorizo - but I have enough. Too hungry to wait to go home, I sit down to eat. Two tacos - huge! The best was the barbacoa - tasty little carmelized deeply flavored meat bits. Hey - don't go expecting American extras like sour cream or cheese. This is the real thing. Warming: one taco will do you. Got a side of rice and beans - yum. Don Lucho is a treasure. It is authentic, mom and pop, and these are the businesses I love to support.
