This place is a gem! I special ordered a large and a personal king cake. They misplaced my large one (prob gave it to the wrong person). It was crazy in there because it was Valentine's Day. The gal that helped me was so sweet, she gave me a discount on the additional items I purchased. I got some assorted bagels. They were ok, seemed a little stale, but I know this isn't a bagel shop. I will say the dill cream cheese was awesome! The king cakes were really good, so much better than H-E-B. I got cream cheese and raspberry with almond cream cheese. Both were so good! The star of the show was the cookie butter cheesecake... omg, it was heavenly! I'm dreaming of another slice.... Gotta come back soon. Hope this is always on their menu! Yum! read more

Ordered a couple of cakes for a family event. I was able to order the flavor and icing combinations I wanted. They were ready when I arrived, and were a smash hit at the party - moist and delicious! I have tried several other treats and enjoyed them all. The chicken salad is always good as well. But, oh my the banana pudding - absolutely a winner! Just the right amount of cookies, to bananas, to pudding. If you like banana pudding, I highly recommend you give it a try. read more

Scrumptious Houston is packed in a small shopping strip by the busy highway on Nasa. They have stiff competition with another cafe next to them. The staff are wonderful and the place is tidy, with some "peculiar" designs. Apparently, GhostFace is their unofficial mascot! Their dessert menu changes daily, so you don't know what they'll have the next time you stop by. Scrumptious also makes chicken noodle soup and bagel sandwiches. Their desserts are simple, but delicious. Prices are outrageous, though. Two cupcakes and one cookie costs $12! I'm not sure when or IF I'll come back to Scrumptious Houston. read more

I was wondering around NASA Pkwy trying to figure out what to eat and the beautiful signs out front caught my eye! It read "Bagels hand boiled" and as a person who moved here from the East Coast I truly felt like I had stumbled upon a unicorn! I walked inside to a friendly faces and a beautiful case of baked goods! I however, was on a mission for a bagel! Sooo many delicious looking options, I chose The Sourdough + Bacon and wow it was incredible! The service was amazing, friendly, and welcoming and I will definitely become a regular here! Well finally a place aptly named! My second time here and so far two home runs! First time a brought home a large single serve (if I weren't so greedy it could be shared) peach cobbler and it was the best I've eaten in a long time! Plenty of crust to nosh on and plenty of peaches. Noticing that they had fresh bagels I went back the next week to try the lox and bagel. I thought the bagel was a little small (my experience is with Einstein's bagels) but they stuffed it well so after eating it I thought anything bigger would be too big. The salmon on the bagel was very fresh and plentiful. They have a small coffee stand that they allow you to make your own coffee for free. Nice perk. The desserts of cookies and cupcakes looked just made. I saw that they had servings of soups and slices of cheesecake to buy as well. Place is small so not a lot of seating but most people just come and go anyway. Staff is very nice and I'll definitely go back! read more

Oh my gosh, this bakery is amazing!!! I was a first time customer last week and they did not disappoint! I purchased several items but their strawberry shortcake cupcake was heavenly. Other favorites were the stuffed cheesecakes, lemon cheesecake cookie and their chocolate cheesecake cookie. Everything was out of this world but these were the stand outs. They have a different flavor list each week and I can't wait to go back and try some others. The owner was there and she was such a lovely person and was so friendly. Their other staff was so helpful in helping me choose items to purchase. Their storefront is also adorable with hot pink colors. They painted their walls so vibrant and welcoming. I stopped by and ordered a birthday cake. I asked that the cake have cream cheese frosting. I also asked if they could write "Happy Birthday" with the recipients name. The girl that charged me for the cake confirmed that they could do cream cheese icing. She also asked for the correct spelling of the birthday person's name for the happy birthday wording. My husband picked up the cake a few days later. When he brought it home I immediately realized that they didn't write anything on it. It was disappointing but we just shrugged our shoulders as it wasn't worth driving back to their location to fix it. Fast forward to the birthday celebration. When we all took a bite of the cake it was obvious that the icing was a very sweet buttercream and not cream cheese. Since this was a special request from the person for whom the cake was for it turned out to be very disappointing. Two things were requested for the cake and they were both ignored. No one even contacted me to say that they wouldn't/couldn't honor either request. The only pros were that the staff was friendly and that the cake was done on time. read more
