I had a professional roofer inspect the roof for an estimate to repair and he told me that there is no tarpaper under the shingles and the shingles are stapled on rather than nailed. This goes against the shingle manufacturer's installation instructions. When I informed the owner he came over took a look at it, told me he would get back to me to see what he could do. His final decision was that he would not do anything to help. He told me he is not responsible. Buyer beware! Now I'm stuck with an $800 repair.
