This place is dishonest and the staff is rude, especially the owner, Robb. She had dropped off her computer for possible repair, and if it couldn't be repaired, she was going to purchase a "new" refurbished machine. She left messages with the store which were not returned. So she went in in person to ask what was going on, and Robb told her that her computer had been "trashed." They had made no effort to contact her to let her know that was going to happen, and she had even left messages with them they hadn't returned. She had files on that hard drive that she was given no opportunity to attempt to recover. Despite being upset about that, she was asking about the possibility of buying the refurbished machine they'd spoken about, and Robb basically kicked her out of the store, by yelling at her and saying that she is "obviously broke." My mother is sick, elderly, and posed no threat to him whatsoever. She had fully intended to spend her money at A-1, until that day. She chose to take her business elsewhere, and now has a brand-new computer from Staples that she bought for less money than A-1 was going to charge for the comparable refurbished machine. I was so upset that this happened and how they'd treated her that I called the store, following up, to attempt to find out why things went down the way they did and why they'd just thrown my mother's computer away without making an effort to contact her. I spoke with a sympathetic-sounding clerk, who took my info and said he'd ask Robb to get back to me. That was weeks ago, and I never heard from him.

Coming in here I already knew what I was going to grab, I just needed to get the layout of the store to get me to where I needed to go. Once I got my bearings I was on my way to saving me some cash. The only problem I had here was finding a free associate to open a case for me. It took me a while to track someone in the blue shirt down. When I finally did find someone, I had to wait a bit more. They were busy in here that day and I didn't mind the wait since I already knew what to get. After about ten minutes, I made my way to remind them that I was waiting. They came to the case, opened it up and we headed to a register to check out. Even though there were busy, the associate was pleasant and chit chatted with me while making my purchase.

Same for another business that advertised in the Journal. I contacted this business which advertised in the Buyers Guide and he was out doing errands and was able to come by same day. I had issues pringting off emails and internet pages. Problem solved. On my ancient laptop, I had wireless connectivity issues. Problem solved. He also installed anti-virus software on each computer. Hourly rate was competitive with other businesses I have contacted. Would recommend and call again if the need arises.
