I got so excited when I learned about Scramblers Cafe. Your food is unique and delicious. It's fresh and healthy. Quality food at an affordable price. Decided to get lunch. Got the chicken teriyaki plate. Fabulous. Chicken was cooked perfectly. Teriyaki sauce is delicious. Love the mac salad. It's sweet. It's different, but so good. Highly recommended. Pros: Staff super friendly Decent prices Food was good Cons: It's a walk up and order style (I know some don't like that) The menu is small, I had to walk all the way up to see anything. Making people wait behind me. They need actual smoothie straws because the regular straws aren't cutting it. The butter seemed fresh which I loved, BUT it was so cold it wouldn't spread. Hubby and I had brunch here at scramblers. Yelp reviews did us right again. Environment was nice, customer service was friendly... suggestions were on point! Definitely a must bring the rest of the family and visiting family and friends to this spot. We ordered the Island chilaquiles with guava mango orange juice mix, and Ube pancakes with a Ube latte. First time at Scramblers Cafe, and I was already planning my next visit. It's homey , bright, and the servers walk around topping off your coffee. It's great. It's a casual place; you are welcomed as "ohana " which means you're family in Hawaiian. You do order at a counter and then they seat you and bring you the food. The food!!! It's yummy Hawaiian classics, like loco moco and kalua pork meets SoCal classics like chilaquiles , breakfast burritos, waffles, pancakes and my favorite , eggs benedict. It was hard to choose. They give generous portions (go there hungry ), it's reasonably priced, and it's a humble establishment. It's clear the locals in Norco love it, there was a line out the door by 10 am. I enjoyed my meal so much. We're were in town for a tournament , so imagine my surprise to find this pleasant spot to leisurely have a delicious home cooked meal. It's tucked away in a shopping center, so do take my advice and park a little further away from the actual restaurant and walk over. My family's go to brunch spot in our area. They have indoor and outdoor seating available for those who choose to dine there. They have a wide variety of breakfast and lunch options, from the classic loco moco to their cap'n mac nut French toast..they have something for almost everyone, even probably the pickiest eater. Everything I've tried was delicious, but I almost always get the loco moco (hamburger patty) with fried rice (additional $1.50). They get busy on weekends, so I suggest getting there shortly after they open if dining there, or calling in your order to go. read more

okay first i will say, the ube pancakes were great. and the kalua pork had a good smoky flavor. Beyond that, would I call it a Hawaiian brunch spot? no, not really, I was truly expecting, after seeing their popular Instagram video on my feed, an experience at least somewhat similar to the amazing Hawaiian brunch fair that I've had many times on the many islands of Hawaii. I wish they at least had a combination with both breakfast & lunch food- aka brunch- instead of having to decide between the two, unless of course you wanted to order two full meals to try both. Also, the seating situation is not ideal - super cramped, and a bit unorganized, especially when there are people with to go orders that are sitting at tables that are not supposed to be assigned until you order your food. Wow! This place lost their Aloha in the last year since we were here! My bff and I stayed in Corona and agreed we'd come here for breakfast on the way home instead of eating the free breakfast at our hotel. Our experience last year was amazing! So we got in line and I ordered the Triple 2 for both of us. Hers was scrambled with cheese, buttermilk pancakes with Portuguese sausage and I had eggs over medium, blueberry ricotta pancakes, Portuguese sausage and a side of fruit. The girl who took my order asked if I wanted strawberries and bananas or mixed fruit, I asked for mixed fruit. I paid, including tip. Our order was placed at 10:45am. At 11:23 an order was brought out, it was my friends order with an Ube pancake. We did not order an ube pancake. So the girl left and came back again with the same thing. I told her no, that's not correct. She left my friends breakfast which was correct. I waited a few minutes and went inside to see what was happening and the young lady who took my order said she didn't hear I wanted fruit and I reminded her she asked me which kind I wanted. She was so rude! I must admit I may have been a jerk in return! But damn! I had been waiting for 40 freaking minutes for pancakes and eggs! At 11:30----45 minutes after placing my order ---my food was delivered with the wrong fruit! She took it back and brought the right one out. My over medium eggs were over hard, my pancakes were a little under done. The Portuguese sausage was the only saving grace. I have suggested this place to everyone I meet who talks about driving to SoCal from Vegas- now I have to call them all back and tell them not to bother! What a disappointment!! Wow! So disappointed. Horrible parking was the first thing that should have told us to go elsewhere. Then I watched as an employee opened the front door to go through and didn't hold the door for customers behind him. I saw this behavior several times. Inside was cramped and featureless. The food was overpriced ($50 for 2 basic breakfast items and drinks), and just ok in quality. The home fries are just chunks of potatoes that were fried, with very little, if any, seasoning. The breakfast items were basic, and served barely warm. Although it was a nice touch dusting the top of the eggs Benedict with paprika, the sauce was bland and appeared to be from a jar, not made fresh. Our meals were brought out separately, a couple minutes apart, which is odd, considering neither was hot. After being served our meals we had no attention from staff until we had completed our meals. Although it was very basic, the lack of timely service and high prices makes this a big NO for the future. read more

I always get the usual Loco Moco w/ hamburger patty, over easy eggs and upgrade to fried rice and extra patty option. Have tried a few of the French Toasts, and they're all amazing, so it's always tough to choose which to get. The current side dish must are the Ube pancakes! So light and fluffy and not too sweet. Stand in line, order at register, and take a seat at your assigned table and in about 20min, you'll be served with amazing food that makes you feel like you're in Hawaii instead of Norco. ORDERING PROCESS: You walk-in and order your food and pay at the counter. While you do that the other employees find a place for you to sit. You can sit indoors or outdoors, we said whichever is fastest. They cleaned an indoor table for 2 very quick and by the time we were done ordering we were sitting. My experience with Hawaiian food, is just Hawaiian bbq. I walked into this place thinking it was a straight up basic breakfast spot but yooo I was wrong as heezy. It's breakfast with a Hawaiian twist, they have items that you won't usually see like spicy chicken bacon and waffles, which is what I ordered. The food was above and dennys or whatever but i felt like my meal was lacking just a bit of something, the menu is enticing enough for me to want go back and order another item. How it works: you first get in line and order your food. They will ask if you want inside or outside and tell you which table to sit so don't worry about trying to grab a table. Stopped at Scramblers Cafe because Bob's Big Boy doesn't open for breakfast until 9am and they were basically in the same parking lot. Next time time I will wait for Big Boy. Even the water was nasty! You had to serve yourself water from a coke machine and I honestly think the waterline needs to be cleaned and checked as the water does not taste like water nor like the lemonade it may be connected to. The scrambled eggs taste like powder and were brown and a big clump. All the food was cold and hard. Toast was hard- no butter and you should keep your dentist on speed dial. Potatoes as well. Pancakes taste was purely dirty griddle. Had to wait for coffee and once received it was bitter as if it had sat at the bottom of a pot for an hour and had burnt. I'd probably try the fried rice next time for added flavor. The egg was perfect. I'd give it a 7/10. Not bad and not amazing, just good. Not like Rainbow Drive in on Oahu, but that's an expensive flight for a Loco Moco. My wife had the Chicken Fried Steak. She said it was good and gave hers a 7/10 or a 7.5/10 also. Plenty of gravy, the seasoning was good, appropriate tenderness. I tasted it and would call it an 8/10. The house potatoes did not taste good to either of us. Not sure if it was the oil it was cooked in or what. The scrambled eggs were good. Enjoyed a very nice breakfast on the patio. Watched a guy hold his fork to his plate, put his lower lip on his plate, then push his face forward through an enormous pile of rice towards the fork, somewhat like a front end loader picking up a load of dirt. I've been meaning to try this cafe for quite some time now and I finally decided to go on my way home from the Norco dmv since it's literally like 2 mins away. I ordered their Cap'n Crunch macadamia nut French toast which came with a coconut cream sauce. Taste wise it was delicious with the sauce and my dad absolutely adored it. However, it's a little pricy for the portion size. I also ordered the Portuguese sausage breakfast burrito which was also good and well worth the price. I could barely finish half.
