Updated. We went here for Mother's day a couple years after our previous experience. Reading my initial review - wow how similar it was. We must have had the same waitress. It took a while to get drinks and then she disappeared after we ordered. We received our food 45 minutes after we ordered. Most of us ordered breakfast food. I had to track down the waitress to get the check. I'll give 1 star because nobody complained about the food. You would think by now they'd have it figured out. We only come to this place because they take reservations on Mother's Day and it's rather in the middle of where the family lives.

I love a local breakfast spot. The staff are really friendly and attentive. The service was slow. Other than that restaurant was very clean and we felt welcomed.

We visited this restaurant for breakfast twice during our trip to Illinois. The food each time was excellent. Staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and accommodating. Ambiance was so pretty. They have a dedicated space if you wanted to have a private party. Entrance is shared with a Greek restaurant, so don't be confused. There is ample surface parking. Will definitely be back when visiting again.

What a beautiful summer day to enjoy breakfast outside. Small family of ducks teaching its young to dive for food. Monica was an attentive and helpful server. Recommendations were fantastic! It did not disappoint! Thank you!

It was after 11am when our party arrived. We didn't wait more than 5 minutes until we were seated. We were immediately offered beverages and menus. There is a very extensive menu and for this visit, I opted for lunch while the rest of the party ordered breakfast. The portions are generous and most of us ended up taking part of the food to go. My Reuben sandwich was ok: the meat seemed pre-sliced as it was very smooth, and not jagged. The fries were a little brown for my liking. The rest of the party ordered Belgian waffle, apple pancakes, veg croissant, crepes, scrambled eggs. The food is fine, I wouldn't say we were bowled over, it was good. The side of pancakes seemed almost burnt (see pic). Our server was amiable; one dish took noticeably longer to arrive; the recipient on the fine line of hangry. There was a slight lingering acrid smell, almost burning, throughout.

This breakfast spot was a god solid choice today. Service was great. Friendly sever (can't say for the older hostess) and fast service. Booth seating and private rooms available. I had the Nutella strawberry crepe and left fairly happy.

Why doesn't this place have a line out the door on Saturday mornings?! I place this on the top 3 of breakfast joints on the North Shore. The front entrance was greeted with a friendly man seating me immediately. The ambiance of the place is very country chic, and the tableware uses a real cloth napkin! My first thought was "oh my, I may not be dressed appropriately". The iced tea was fresh, and constantly refilled. The omelette was not so much an omelette but shaped scrambled eggs with ham and cheese. But it was perfection on a plate. The ham and cheddar omelette was perfectly cooked, with large chunks of ham off the bone, a strong integration of cheese and fluffy enough to stuff a pillow. The hash browns were also perfectly seasoned and cooked. The English muffin came to with a strawberry jam the perfectly reflected the rest of the meal. For those with kids, the table next to me had activities for the kids, and enough room that everyone wasn't on top of each other. Lastly comes the price... more than enough food for what I paid. I couldn't eat it all. This is now my number one breakfast place.

Do NOT put your drink there if you want to avoid a mess.

I'd like to give this business an "incomplete" if I could. I have a couple valid complaints, but they're easily corrected with a slightly different experience. I ordered the breakfast burrito, and it wasn't great. It basically disintegrated after a few bites, and I'm of the opinion that a good burrito or sandwich should be able to hold itself together and not fall apart into a mess. It did come out piping hot, though, and the salsa it came with was a nice counterbalance to somewhat bland flavor. The other guests at my table enjoyed their food. My kids ordered crepes that were HUGE, so I helped myself to a few bites and they were great. (there was enough left over to take care of breakfast the next day) In short, I would definitely want to come back and try something else. I mentioned to the server that I didn't love the burrito -- I ended up eating less than half -- and he took it off the bill on his own initiative. This was not something I asked for or expected, but appreciate the good service. One other item to note: we were seated at a table where the hinged leaves can be folded up to make for more space, turning a square four-top into a round table that can comfortably seat five to seven people. The hinged leaves, though, did not stay level with the center of the table. There was a noticeable downward slant, and therefore real concern that any drink or plate balanced on the folded up part of the table was in danger of sliding off. If you're easily annoyed by drafts, sit away from the front of the restaurant.

This really is a great breakfast spot for all occasions. A really nice ambience for a nice brunch with friends and/or family makes for a good experience. The food is great, too! Classic breakfast and brunch favorites - I got the eggs Benedict and it was really enjoyable. Great parking situation and ample seating inside, but I was not impressed with our waitstaff. Our server was attentive and timely, but she kept rushing us to leave. She asked several times if we wanted our bill and after bringing it over, checked several more times if we had paid yet. I'm not sure if she was just in a rush herself or truly wanted us home. I was having a get together with family members I hadn't seen in close to a year, so we were hoping to spend some time together. Overall, a good experience and I'd come back for the food.

Coffee was delicious . I had a chicken, bacon, and Avocado sandwich. Bacon was inedible chicken was dry. Forgot onions I requested. We also had a chorizo wrap. Not a fan of chorizo. My boyfriend enjoyed it. He had red potatoes on the side that were excellent . I will go back and purchase the coffee. The menu looked good. Was really busy . next time I'll stick to breakfast.

Scrambled is located right next to Portillo's on Lake Cook Road. I believe this place use to be some Greek restaurant of sorts, as I saw old signage for "Demitrius" or something like that, with even a waiter who still had the old black polo shirt :-D Scrambled has a pretty decent brunch menu, offering skillets, omelettes, crepes, french toast, waffles, pancakes, and more. I went with the house french toast, which consisted of Brioche Bread, Pastry Cream, strawberries, and syrup. It consisted of three pieces of bread, cut diagonally. Overall, enough food for this guy. Staff was friendly, and the coffee refills were on point. The overall decór and setup was great and I enjoyed the dining experience quite a bit. BATHROOM REVIEW: Located near the front entrance, the bathrooms were good. There is a normal height urinal, and a urinal of giants. I'm 5 foot 8, and this urinal would require a ladder to use. Usually there is a normal adult height urinal, and a kid height one. I thought it was funny. Plenty of stalls with high partitions, so you can do a number 2 and scroll through Instagram in peace. Sit or squat? Sit!

Most breakfast…read moreplaces tend to jam in seats everywhere to make the most of their space and then it's a noisy, packed mess. Eggsperience is a big open and airy room in an antique white and light blue coloration making you feel at ease and welcome like a nice Spring day. We were seated at a table for four, but an additional person joined us and we figured we'd make room for five at our table. The staff insisted we move to a five-person round table despite them being busy. It was a nice sized table and gave plenty of room for five to six people, Our server was a lovely girl who was always coming by. The menu is huge and since we were all talking and having a good conversation, I never really was able to focus, so I ordered a traditional two eggs any style with meat and toast or pancakes. I got my eggs scrambled and dry, with bacon crispy and added diced potatoes (the ones that are just potatoes and nor peppers and diced onions), a toasted English muffin, and asked for a Diet Coke. She asked if I wanted Diet Pepsi or Pepsi Zero. PEPSI ZERO?!!! No one ever has Pepsi Zero. I said absolutely yes to the Pepsi Zero. So she brought me two mason jar mugs because she wasn't sure which was the Diet and which was the Zero. Apparently a staff member attached the two drinks to the wrong fountain heads and she wanted to know which I wanted. I was able to pick the Zero out fairly easily. How cool, Pepsi Zero. Anyway, we all got our food nd mine was made perfectly the way I ordered it. The eggs were made dry (not cooking with butter or oil), the potatoes were just roasted potatoes, the bacon was crispy, the English muffin was toasted (so my whipped butter filled in all the nooks and crannies - as they should do as advertised on TV), and the drink was Pepsi Zero! And our server was quick to replenish drinks. Plus, the cost does not break the bank. Many breakfast places tend to overprice their breakfast items. I wish I came here sooner. I't's easily one of my favorite breakfast places (easily in the Top 3). It was not just a pleasant experience. It was an Eggsperience (sorry, had to do the cheap pun!) :)

Ok place. Portions are huge - you'll never come out hungry. Nothing very special, though.read more

My husband and I dined here. We ordered a burger and waffles with eggs and side of bacon. The burger was uncooked, nearly raw. The blood soaked through the bun making a mushy, unappetizing presentation. My waffles were ok, they are standard waffles. I ordered my eggs over easy and they came out scrambled. The bacon wasn't cooked completely so fatty and greasy. I tried to catch our server's attention, but she wasn't anywhere to be seen until it was time for the check. We've tried to give this place several chances as I like to shop at Fresh Farms, but each time the meal has disappointed. Then to find out the owner is recording for his channel sealed the deal to never come back. There's too many delicious restaurants around the area to put up with mediocre food, high prices, rude ownership, and poor service. Upside is that the restaurant is clean and there's a nice fireplace that some can sit in front of.

They do have monthly specials, but I tend to be more traditional for brunch. This time, I had a Carnitas Hash with poached eggs and fresh fruit. It was very good but honestly, it could have used a little more salt and possibly some hot sauce. Rise n Dine is a little more expensive than other brunch locations we go to, but they are so nice, we love going there.
