They told me I had to do part of the diagnosis at home, and showed me how.....which I happily handled. Then suddenly, out of nowhere, when my turn arrived to bring my bike in, they told me that they couldn't do this repair until the fall. And some of my wiring has begun to blister, indicating that there is a risk of a fire if I keep riding it as is..... I have used this shop several times, and I was pretty happy with the service and work done to this point. But why the hell would you show me how to take care of diagnosing it, only to tell me that you aren't going to do the work as promised. No one even apologized for misleading me, or even seemed to give a shit about me, as someone that has spent several thousand dollars on service there. I will NEVER endorse this shop again. All I expected was the job to be done that I was promised....now I have to find someone to fix this wiring issue before something bad happens. What a joke. Way to be professional, Tuff City. And good job showing me I don't matter, and that you have no integrity when it comes to honouring your commitments.

Cycle Whistler - Kickstand that they claim I singlehandedly damaged

**I recommend avoiding this bike shop unless you're prepared to pay for their equipment upgrades.**…read more As a father of two, I rented a Rad eBike to follow my kids around for an afternoon. Before leaving the shop, an employee specifically told me not to sit on the bike while the kickstand was down. I am a licensed US-FAA pilot and maintain all my vehicles and gear to high standards. When given instructions, I follow them carefully. Within the first 30 minutes of riding, I put the bike on its kickstand, and the kickstand immediately broke off. The bike wasn't dropped, crashed, or mishandled. (I did subsequently ride the bike down the popular Valley Trail to Lost Lake, which involves some gravel, but the kickstand broke long before that.) When I returned the bike, I handed the broken kickstand to the staff and explained what happened. After inspecting the bike and confirming there was no other damage, they said nothing about additional charges, and I left. The next day, I received an email with ~$150 in charges on my credit card: $90 for a new kickstand and $50 for labor to install it. This was done without any prior communication. When I spoke with the manager, she claimed she had contacted the bike manufacturer (Rad Bikes), who supposedly told her that the only way the kickstand could break was if the rider sat on the bike with the kickstand deployed. This was incredibly frustrating because it implied that I was lying about how I used the bike. The manager kept repeating that I had signed the waiver and declined their $20 insurance policy. Despite my attempts to explain that the kickstand might have already been weakened by years of use or previous riders, she dismissed my concerns. The kicker was when they sent me a picture of the broken kickstand, which clearly showed significant wear and tear--exactly what you'd expect from years of use and not a single ride. Now, I get to purchase and install a brand new kickstand for their aging bike. Talk about the straw that broke the kickstands back. In short, if you don't want to end up paying to upgrade their used bikes, I strongly suggest renting elsewhere.

We called the shop immediately and received not one ounce of compassion or sympathy just a reference to the 24 hour cancellation policy. Poor service and a lack of humanity that only added to a horrible day. It doesn't take much to be kind. This place sucks!

The bad part is all their bikes are poorly maintained. Handle bars not aligned, low pressure on the tires, and bent tubing. Their helmets are disgusting. Yellow inside from sweat and probably not disinfected after each use. We had to ask for a bike lock before leaving the shop for our ride and it was some poorly made Chinese brand lock. Of course when we used it it took 15mins of fiddling with the lock to unlock it. Lastly there was a blob of red paint that was smeared on the right pedal of the bike and I didn't notice until I got back to the shop and my shoes were ruined. Complained to the attendant there and he didn't do anything about it.

I'm only reviewing the electric bikes. For around $8/ hr you can ride to your hearts content. Many places i.e. lake chelan washington charge $20/hr and for 18 yr and up whereas this place allows you to be fitted to the bike based on height . The bikes are a perfect size for me, small, easy to handle, and light weight so I can easily pick it up to move onto pavement or pass any obstructing barriers. The service is always quick and friendly. The location is great, next to Starbucks on Denman st so you can go use the restroom before taking off to Stanley park and grab some drinks on your way. I just found this out after paying $9 for half day parking down the street that this place has free customer parking behind their store. Bonus!!! I had a great time with my 9 year old niece, they lowered the seat for her. Families with kids should really try the electric bikes. Thanks to EzeeRiders I was able to see the entire Stanley park. If I had to walk it or actually bike it, I would only be able to see 1/4 of the park. I highly recommend this place! Another BONUS: 1 hr free when you return with a friend
