Very bad business practice…read more We booked a 3pm tour. It was the last day that we are in Vancouver, we would be flying home that night. At 1:45pm, after we have planned our whole day around the excursion and checked out of the hotel in preparation of this tour, Sea Vancouver office called and said they are cancelling my tour because they "need a minimum of 4 people and only 3 people booked". I explained that we are leaving the city that day, and we planned our whole day around this, and if there is anything they can do. It is unreasonable to only notify me 75 minutes prior to departure time - we were already on the way to the departure point! The only thing they said was that they will refund me in full (I'd better hope so since you cancelled it with incredibly short notice!) I understand that it may not be economical to operate a tour based on fixed cost, but this was NOT written anywhere when I booked it on the official website, but they were happy to take my money when I booked. The confirmation email stated "We reserve the right to delay or cancel a departure for events beyond our control (e.g. adverse weather conditions, technical or mechanical issues, etc.)" -- well, operating a boat when there are "only" 3 paying customers is definitely in their control, they just choose to screw over their customers. This has put a really sour taste on my trip to Vancouver. I would encourage everybody to stay away.

This was our first time in Vancouver, and whats not a better way to experience it than by taking a boat tour! We honestly planned this boat tour super last minute, so we called a few places, but they were all closed. Fortunately, Sea Vancouver still had tours going out until 7pm which was the last one! The lobby is located in the Westin hotel and the ride is 90 minutes long, which takes you all around the harbor of Vancouver to the English Bay! There was so much to see at the waterfront and we even saw a few dolphins along the ride! We were hoping for orcas too but maybe next time haha. Overall the boat tour was absolutely amazing! Terry our captain, made the experience super educational a fun! Love that guy! Thanks Cap! And thank you Sea Vancouver!

We met our tour guide, Ali at the designated time (11am) at the designated place, and 20 or so of us enjoyed an incredibly interesting walking tour of Chinatown. There is no way we would have gotten the feel for this city had we not taken this tour. Several folks were repeat tour guy visitors, so they must have enjoyed those as well. Our group had folks from several countries. It is a relaxed tour at a pace that is just right...not too fast and not too slow. Seriously, just right! And absolutely everyone in our group was happy to hand over generous thank you tips. Well-deserved. Ali was kind enough at the end of the tour to guide anyone who wanted dining suggestions or directions. For us, he was even kind enough to let us walk along with him since we were heading in the same direction. As a result, we were fortunate enough to get an extended tour, as he remained a wealth of Vancouver info as we went along. Highly recommend!

I visited the Vancouver Lookout and left pretty underwhelmed…read more First issue was finding it. It's inside a building, but signage outside is small and not very clear, so it took a bit of wandering before I even found the line. I actually even passed the building up while walking. I needed to use the restroom before going up and saw signage for the one near the food court. Honestly, it was absolutely disgusting and didn't have paper towels. I ended up walking completely out. When I asked the lookout staff about a restroom, I was initially told there wasn't one. Then once they asked if I was intending on buying a ticket, it suddenly appeared that there all of a sudden was a restroom available upstairs. Hmmm but at any rate, it was a completely different experience from the first restroom. Thank goodness. The lookout itself feels dated. You do get a full bird's-eye view of the city, but there wasn't anything especially exciting or memorable about it. They also charged more than what was posted on the signage, so it looks like a recent price increase, $24 CAD mid June. Overall, if you go in with low expectations and just want a quick view of the city, it's fine. But I wouldn't call it a must-do in Vancouver.

We were staying at the Fairmont Waterfront, so getting picked up right at Canada Place made it super convenient. I just showed the tour guide my Viator booking and we were good to go. Paid about $114 on Viator for 2 adults, my 5 year old was half off, and my 2 year old was free, so I thought that was pretty fair for a family outing. The full loop is about 1 hour 50 minutes if you stay on for the whole tour, and there are around 21 stops, so it's a good way to see a lot of Vancouver without having to figure out transportation yourself. The guide on board was really funny and kept it entertaining the whole time. I forgot his name, but he definitely made the ride better. The driver was also very friendly, I believe her name was Maria. Trolleys come about every 30 minutes and there were 4 running when we went. They also give you a website to track where the trolley is at, which was actually really useful when planning where to hop back on. We used it to stop at Granville Island and it made getting around pretty easy. Overall, I thought this was a good tour for a last minute Vancouver plan. Easy pickup, funny guide, friendly driver, and convenient hop-on hop-off option if you want to see a lot of the city without driving around yourself.

Pickup was on Cordova Street, a short walk from Canada Place where we just finished looking over the four cruise ships in port. We had a friendly and knowledgeable tour director and driver (didn't get his name but he was a middle aged local Chinese man) who kept us entertained the entire tour. We started at the west end of Vancouver, highlighting the expanded Westin Bayshore Hotel and the yachts docked on the waterfront, leading to Stanley Park, which is a world in itself. The beauty and abundance of flora and fauna, totem poles, the sea wall where folks bike and walk and get away from the world. From Stanley Park we drove back through the West End via Denman Street to English Bay, then up Robson and Davie Streets. Once we hit the Burrard Street Bridge we went through the Museum District, then on West 4th in Kits to Granville Island where we hopped off. We thanked our driver and tipped him (darn, I didn't take a photo or get his name) and made our way through Granville Island to find food.

Guaranteed thrills on this zodiac boat tour! Wow..talk about an adrenline rush! This was basically a high speed thrill ride in a jet boat with amazing scenery. Life is always better on a boat! I was literally just having the time of my life!! 3 hours of pure adrenline and jaw-dropping views....speeding across those waves felt like a roller coaster on the water! Zooming down the ocean, wind in your hair, sun on your face...you'll have the time of your life!!! The adrenaline rush was unreal, and the views from the water were stunning. Still buzzing from the speed, and sprays. And let's be honest, seeing Van from the water is absolutely epic. You rediscover the city from a completely different perspective. The experience is a total thrill -- high speeds with the sun and wind in your face, plus those mini splashes of water that make it feel even more epic. Vancouver's coastline is stunning, but seeing it at high speed is a whole different experience. We felt safe but totally exhilarated. From the moment the ride started, the speed, fun turns, and splashes of water made it so exciting. The ride itself was an absolute adrenaline rush! Speed, excitement, and so much fun from start to finish! The speed, and scenery were all unreal. We had so much fun from start to finish -- adrenaline, laughs, and nonstop excitement. Shoutout to Jessica for the top-tier communication! Her communication was exceptional leading up to the event which made the whole process smooth and stress-free. Huge kudos to our driver Ray for his great sense of humour and keeping the vibe fun the whole ride. The energy from Ray was fantastic, keeping everyone hyped up and laughing the entire time. Definitely hope you get Ray as your driver! He clearly knew exactly how to make the ride exciting while keeping it smooth and controlled. Ray's energy, charisma, and knowledge about Van were truly impressive. He didn't miss a single detail and made the entire tour feel engaging and special. Thanks to him, you really feel like you get to know the city, because he shares so many interesting facts about every place you pass. It's not just a boat ride - it's 3 hours of thrills with incredible views at every turn! The boat then stopped at Bowen Island and the tour includes ice cream on the island. It's a little escape from the busy everyday life! Life just moves differently here! I could get very used to this island time thing! I can't think of a more exciting way to experience Vancouver's scenery! We got to feel the rush of speed, soak up the splash, and experience Vancouver from a whole new perspective. We cruised through the Howe Sound, felt the ocean breeze, and took in unbeatable views of Vancouver! Speed, waves, water splashes...full-on adrenaline rush! If you're looking for something unforgettable to do before the summer ends, you need to come experience this! Some moments are best experienced from the water!! Hands down, this is one of the best experiences to have in all of Vancouver. If you're looking for a fun, high-energy adventure on the water, this is absolutely the ride to take. Vancouver- Westcoast Sightseeing's Big Bus Hop-On, Hop-Off Classic Pass: 48 Hours…read more I joined the Westcoast Sightseeing's Big Bus for the second day of the Vancouver leg of my D.C. to Banff train trip over the 4th of July holiday in the United States. Because I worked with Kevin Guadagnoli through Amtrak Vacations, I trusted that he would select from known tour operators for activities while I was in Vancouver. He thoughtfully included the admission fee for a two-day pass for the Vancouver Hop-On, Hop-Off tour bus. It picked up across the street from the Fairmont Waterfront where I was staying and provided a leisurely guided tour of the highlights of Vancouver. It was a rainy day and I wanted to make the most of the atmosphere, given how often Vancouver is rainy. There was no line - the bus had about 12 passengers when I boarded. The bus departs hourly and starts at Canada Place, and its 2-hour loop includes stops at Granville Island, Gastown, Chinatown and Entertainment District. The narration was easy to hear and understand, and the narrative information provided appropriate and helpful context and historical background of the locations we passed through. For my visit this time, I got off the bus for visiting the markets and shops on Granville Island. For the rest of the tour, I learned about the Steam Clock, the Marine Building, BC Place, the Seawall, and the Capilano Suspension Bridge. The tour was the best way to enjoy a rainy summer day in Vancouver!
