Seeing how we were literally steps away from this rental spot, we decided to go for it. It was such a smooth and easy process which made it all the easier to be in-n-out within ten minutes. From signing paperwork (they hold onto one of your drivers licenses), getting fitted, and receiving a helmet, we were on our way. They have a few different bike iterations to rent and we went for the classic single riders. Once we were done riding we brought them back, paid our balance and merrily went on our way. The bikes were solid but perhaps a little outdated compared to other places. You can't beat the price though!

The bike itself was old, but well-maintained and comfortable for the designated routes. Business hours go till 10pm, but they also have the option of dropping off the bike after hours elsewhere if need be. Solid and convenient spot to stop by for your ride.

This was the first one we checked out. The shop owner gave us a discounted kids rate. We took 2 bikes out for 1.5 hour and they only charged us $21. The bikes worked great and were comfortable. My husband had sent them an email about a week or 2 in advance to make sure they would have the bikes we wanted at the day and time we were aiming to do our ride, and they assured us we'd be all set. When we came to pick up our bikes, there happened to be some very loud tree trimming going on right across the street from the bike shop, so it was hard to hear anyone. The staff were such good sports about it, they even taped signs to the front of their shirts apologizing for the noise (which wasn't even their fault!). Big thank you to Sofia who gave stellar customer service when we returned our bikes. We did a 3-hr bike rental on my husband's birthday and had the best day riding along the Seawall in Stanley Park, over Burrard Bridge, and into Kitsilano for lunch, and back! We'll definitely be renting bikes from them again, plus Vancouver has the best and safest bike lanes anywhere!

They offer regular bikes, hybrid, e-bikes and even e-scooters. The staff was super friendly and ensured the bikes were just right before leaving. They offer complimentary helmets (they make sure it fits right, they have smaller and bigger helmets), baskets, and I believe locks (double check we did not ask for these). Their bikes are a little older and with more wear to them but a bike is a bike and for the price you can't beat it. We got 2 of the regular bikes for 1 hour and 50 minutes and only paid $24 CAD. It's conveniently located right in front of an entrance to the park.

We saw so many beautiful sights in and around Stanley Park, including an eagle's nest! They even provided ponchos just in case the Vancouver weather decided not to cooperate. One thing to know: the tour moves at a pretty good pace. It didn't bother us at all, but slower riders may find themselves bringing up the rear. Great way to see Stanley Park. We'd absolutely recommend this tour!

Our tour guide Nick is a nice person, but he just rode so fast and he left me so far behind. The tour pace was so fast that it forced people to run traffic lights and it's very unsafe for first timers in the city. We asked for partial refund and was denied by the manager Katie who obnoxiously by email all our negative experiences. This forced me to write this review here. This bike tour was the most miserable part of our first time visit to the otherwise very beautiful city. --- The bike rented for me was difficult to ride. Somehow the pedals kept jamming a few times when I started to ride. The gear was ok and I was pretty sure I switched gears correctly when biking, but sometimes I had to paddle real hard. I do bike around home so this certainly feels very awkward today. Tour was pretty fast paced so didn't really get to enjoy the views along the route. kind of stressed too with so many opposite and rushing bikers around as well as pedestrians.

This was our first time on an electric bike and we all enjoyed the easy-to-use assist features that supplemented our manual option. CONS - Jim's chain fell off twice, with a nice guy helping to fix it the first time. After the second time, he used the electric feature to bring the bike back to the barn. +/- - Erin scored a discount on our bikes and Jim's issue was credited. However, the credit card entries took awhile to sort themselves out. PROS - Jim's issue aside, our bikes were top quality, easy to use, and fun to ride. - Bee's Knees staff were very helpful and responsive to our beginner questions and the above bike chain issue. - Stunning scenery and well marked bike paths. - Vancouver takes their bikes very seriously including the practice that traffic laws apply to all. BOTTOM LINE - I'd happily use Bee's Knees again for a bike rental.
