Posted Aug 5, 2024: BUYER BEWARE! I hired Scott to clean about 1,700 sq ft of tile in my Oceanside home. He quoted a reasonable price and his reviews were very positive, so I booked him. We scheduled for Friday, Aug 2, 2024. Scott showed up nearly 1.5 hours after he said he would, which should have been my first cue to be suspect of him. He used my garden hose throughout the job despite saying earlier that his van was entirely self-sufficient, and nothing would be required from me. After 4 hours of "work" he left my tile floor sopping wet, and he did not contact me when he was done so I could return home. I intentionally took my pets offsite at his instruction due to the chemicals. I came and went from the house a couple times during the job, and I learned some things later from my exterior surveillance: Scott was drinking alcohol on the job and dumped an XL beer can in my trash bin. In retrospect, this explains why Scott frequently went to the front driver side of his van and leaned in to do something, why he was going shirtless when I was not present, why his speech was slow and slurred, and why his gait was odd. When my floors finally dried by Saturday morning, they were COVERED in visible residue and streaks throughout the house....looked filthy!! I texted and called Scott....no answer.....crickets. On Sunday morning, Scott called me prior to 8am (I wasn't awake yet); he left no message, and then he texted me saying he "may need to come back on Monday." Absolutely not!!! Scott was drunk on the job and left my floors a mess. I called and texted him back asking for a substantive discount given the mess he left behind--again, no response. He did a shoddy job on the floors, got caught being drunk on the job, and is unwilling to right the situation. My advice: Save yourself the money & hassle, and steer clear of Scott's Ultra Clean. read more

Scott was scheduled to clean my carpets. He asked for payment in full. I paid him half because he said he needed cleaner. Later that day, he texted me his hose broke and he re-scheduled. The day of the next appointment, he called to let me know he stayed up too late and would come another time. The next time he did not show or call. I have requested my $400 deposit be refunded and he has failed to respond. Be very careful hiring Scott. read more

Scott did a wonderful job on my white carpet! My carpet did not look like it needed cleaning but it most definitely did in some high traffic areas. I wanted the carpets cleaned because of I have new couches coming and knew that it would need a freshen up. There was a old stain from the recliner mechanism that a previous cleaner could not get out but Scott and his helper Josh were able to get it out completely. I was so thrilled! They also brought the pile of the carpet up from where the old furniture had been sitting which also surprised me. I had Scott come and give me an estimate to do my carpets and tile floors and Scott and Josh came an did an excellent job! They were in an out in 2 hours. I had move things off the tables and move some smaller items out of the rooms they were doing so that it would be less chance for slow down or accidents that could happen. The grout looks great as Jason hand scrub using a long handle tool. The carpet looks fantastic and is 12 years old but looks brand new now. I am happy with the work they did and very professional. I've just used Scott's Ultra Clean carpet service and I'm extremely impressed. They derserve more than 5 stares- and U've used all types of carpet cleaners. They drove to my location outside if their normal area due to a referral from a cleaning company they work with. I've just finished a bathroom remodel that left my house destroyed. They were timely, used corner protectors, cleaned carpets and all upholstery, moved all furniture as well as placed plastic squares under furniture legs. They spent 2 hours here. I clean my carpets every 6-8 months. The amount of time the 2 men spent let me know how thorough they were. Most companies are gone in 1 hour or less!
