Wowzers!! My husband picked this place after joining some AMI Facebook groups before our trip and seeing that Scott's is THE place to go for a delicious sandwich. I am happy to say they are 100% correct! I had the turkey bacon avocado and my husband the BBQ beef and it was phenomenal. The turkey was piled high had crispy bacon and was garnished with avocado, tomato and lettuce on wheat bread. Yummy! I am back home now and still thinking about that sandwich! The sandwich was big so I was only able to eat half at the time so I saved the other half for later but later never came because it was soo good my husband ate it later that day before I could get back to it!! Lol. He loved his equally as much though devouring the house made beef brisket sandwich topped with pimento cheese in one sitting! Love me some Scott's Deli! They have everything you can thing of from sandwiches to brownies and other great desserts.

Scott's Deli is a small sandwich shop (also sells tacos but we didn't try any) on Anna Marie Island. It has two tables inside and a picnic table outside for seating. We had a party of eight and all squished together at the picnic table. They do have a one stall bathroom available inside, but it wasn't very clean. You order at the counter and they give you your food to-go style. The employees were friendly enough and filled our water bottles and made our sandwiches quickly. We paid $15.30 for the Ami Philly sandwich which isn't terrible but kinda pricey for us. My husband and I split the Ami Philly and we both thought it was kinda bland. Our friends got the Italian sub though and loved it! One of them saying it was the best Italian sub he had ever had! read more

Scott's Deli on Anna Maria Island is the perfect after beach stop for lunch. That's what we did. This small sandwich shop serves up big flavor and has a large selection of meats, cheeses and veggies between bread. My wife ordered the cold Italian sandwich and I got the hot HB Italian Beef. Both were up quick. We got some bags of chips on the side and some drinks. The staff was friendly and welcoming. This place had the locally owned, small beach town vibe going. A small deli with a big menu and super friendly folks working there. I popped in to pick up a couple of sandwiches early on a Monday. Probably would have been best to get just one because the sandwiches are fresh and HUGE. Neither my wife or I could eat the whole thing. Definitely a great spot to grab something to take to the beach or back to your condo for lunch. We got lucky and went early and had no problem parking right in front. I went to Scott's Deli for lunch today with a couple friends. My friend has been to Anna Maria Island a couple times, and this is her favorite spot in town, so we had to check out. It's in a cute little building off the side of the main road. We sat in the outdoor section, which had fake grass on the ground. I thought it was a nice detail. I ordered the Coquina Sandwich. I really enjoyed it definitely a 10/10. My friends got the Turkey Bacon Avacado and the Cuban. I tried both of course, and we all agreed they were very tasty. Just moving back to the island after 8 years, I have been hunting down a quick and tasty breakfast sandwich joint. I work from home about a block away and was so excited to find a spot where I'm not waiting in a 2 hour line against tourists to get a bacon egg and cheese! The location for anyone who grew up out here is pretty funny (used to be a funeral home) but WOW, the sandwiches are so good and they have a nice chilly space inside for indoor seating out of the sun. I placed a phone order and it was ready in under 10 minutes. I popped in, grabbed it and a delicious iced coffee, and was home in under 5 minutes. That is AMAZING service for the island. Highly recommend! My only issue is a more personal one that I wish more businesses near the ocean would consider. Please please please do not use plastic bags. It's a sandwich! I just need it wrapped and ready :) For large orders, use paper bags. Living near the beach is a privilege and it's our job as locals to make sure tourists aren't killing the ocean life with styrofoam container and plastic bags on the beach. I'll be coming in weekly if not daily and hope we can reduce waste for all local businesses on AMI. read more
