This is the first restaurant I've ever come to that had AI taking orders. Omg, it was a cluster! Took longer to order than it should have. Then it didn't get our full order and when we pulled to the window, there were two employees standing there looking at us even after us waving for them to come over. I'm sure they could hear us struggling with the AI system and not once did anyone intervene. Imagine calling a 1800 customer service number and the automated response comes on and it's not fully understanding what you're saying but is repeating all the opposite things you've said. Ex: burger, no onions... AI: burger EXTRA onions. Since there aren't any Checkers in Texas where we live, we wanted to make sure we got our fix. This location ruined this experience for us. Very good fries I can't dispute the other negative reviews. My interactions with the Checkers crew was short and to the point. During that time they were neither happy or rude, they just took my money and handed me my food. I prefer happy, but getting the job done is ok. They have no seating inside, but they do have some concrete tables outside, and I settled in to enjoy my Big Buford combo meal. The sandwich was pretty good, but the star of the meal were their fries, crispy and famously seasoned, as they described them on their website. They even have a burger with the fries between the bun. My one negative had to do with an inconvenient start. I drove in from behind the restaurant and not directly from Cortez, and found my only option was to go through their drive-thru. They have a few parking spots but angled for cars from Cortez. They have 2 lanes, one on the left and the other on the right, but the right lane was closed. So, I could order ok but was sitting on the wrong side of the car to reach to the window where they pass you the food. I don't know what others do, I simply got out of my car and walked up to the window to pay and get my food. While I ate, they did open that right lane, so could have just been a brief staffing thing. read more

Dashers were super nice, one even messaged me to say he was second in line for pick up and then wham i get a notification that it was cancelled, I really want an answer as to why? As I pulled up they told me their card reader was not working. So I paid in cash. Them I was told that that would have to cook that numbers of burgers. So I pulled around to the parking lot. Serious brand damage today, I'm very disappointed. I've not had a Checkers burger in over 15 years. I am in the area visiting family and noticed this location. My wife and I decided to grab a burger tonight. The online menu is not the same as the location menu so it was an inconvenience to have to chose new items and hold up the line. We ordered a couple of burgers with everything and a medium fry. What we got was a couple of burgers with ketchup, mustard, pickles, and a few sad onion pieces. It was nothing like I remember.
