My wife, daughter and I were visiting the area and decided to eat lunch at Culver's. We always love Culver's!!!! Today I tried the Cod Fish Deluxe Sandwich with Coleslaw. This was the first time getting the deluxe. I thought it was very good and full of flavor. It was also very hot when it came to the table so I had to wait a few minutes to eat it. I will definitely get this again! This location in Bradenton was very nice and very friendly staff! It was also very clean. This is not a food review. My kid and I were at Culvers (cortez) yesterday and it was raining. The paint in the car park is extremely dangerous when its wet. It is literally like ice, if you step on it without thinking you will slip. I have never seen a parking lot like it, I can't stress enough how dangerous it is. I had a minor slip on the way into the building, pulling a muscle as I caught my balance. Luckily, I was walking slowly. When we left, I saw a lady on the floor in the pouring rain. She'd stepped from her car on to a painted line and hit the ground hard. Ambulance was called. She is badly injured. When the manager was told, the response was not what I expected. "Oh well it is raining". They didn't even talk to the injured party, complete lack of concern. Kicked at the paint for a bit and then went back inside. Not going back. Had never had Culver's and although I only tried two things I thought it was good for fast food. Cheese curds didn't have the right texture of crispy outside and cheesy inside and were just kinda soggy but I liked the seasoning and it paired well dipping it into my cookie dough ice cream on a cake cone. I went through the Drive Thru and ordered a Cranberry Bacon Bleu Salad, a Sourdough Melt, Culver's Deluxe Burger as well as family size Fries and Onion Rings. The order was brought to my car I was told he had my complete order and I ask for it to be put in my backseat which it was. I get home only to find out that the Salad was in the order (I know just as much fault as his since I didn't check) I called and explained what happened and got an apology and they promised to mail me a Gift Card for the Salad. This location consistently sucks. Seems to be a management issue. The service is piss poor in every aspect and the staff is barely competent, they can't seem to take orders correctly on the first try and even when miraculously entered correct can't seem to execute accurately. For the amount of money you would spend on cheese sauce you should get your moneys worth but you don't. According to the rude customer service I got from the cashier he rudely explained that there is a small portion size of cheese sauce that is given for two dollars. To my surprise the sauce does not even fill half of the container given I am very livid. At least fill it to the halfway mark for two dollars per container. The double patty butter burger was delicious. Tasted like a backyard grilled burger. Had the fish dinner which was also very good. Three big pieces perfectly fried! I didn't really like the onion rings batter (just me) and won't get again, but you could tell they were fresh cut not uniform like prepackaged frozen. Fries were crispy on outside and soft inside. Very good! Had a flavor of the day custard and it was smooth and tasty! The young girl behind the counter was extremely helpful (our first time at Culver's) and did not make us feel rushed and answered all our questions about the menu. read more

WOW, we needed something fabulous to get the taste out of our mouth from icky seafood. This hit the spot, restaurant is very clean, counter help is very nice. We order a Turtle Sundae and a Banana Split, both were created perfectly. Two scoops on the Turtle Sundae and they put just the right amount of hot fudge, carmel and pecans. It was delightful. The Banana Split was out of this world it looked like the had split a whole banana the portions of the toppings were perfect, every bite was delicious. I ordered a waffle cone to finish it off. The manager DAMON refused to give us the two deluxe butter burger that I paid for. I hope that management pays attention to this review because I left VERY unhappy. The order taker never repeated my order to me before sending it to be prepared. Also I gave in a bogo coupon for a butterberger that was never applied to my order and the order I was given was not what I originally ordered. The staff does not seen to care about providing good customer service and neither does the management at this location or the service would be better. This has been an ongoing issue at this location. I have visited this location several times, usually take out, and I cannot recall one time that the order has been correct! Today was no exception. The order was missing the fries, the fish sandwich didn't have the tarter sauce on the side, the lettuce on the sandwich was brown shreds and did not even cover the length of the bun. It was definitely a far cry from the advertised sandwich. Previous experiences have included missing items, cold food, stale onion rings, and being sent to park only to have the order lost (30 minutes)! I think I have given this restaurant enough of my business and time. The three star overall rating is very generous. Food was as it always is at any Culver's. It's a quick go- to spot for a good burger or fish and there's custard. Service has always been Midwest terrific, except for tonight. After ordering and spending $40 for two people and a child, we sat waiting for our order. It arrived in a reasonable amount of time. Hubby ordered the cod sandwich basket. Within an instant of our food being served (we literally hadn't even eaten a bite) a youngish guy 17 or 18 stepped up to our booth and asked if everything looked good and was there anything else he could get us. My hubby asked for a little more tartar sauce for his sandwich. The guy reached across our food for the receipt on the tray; he pondered it and then said he'd be happy to get more tartar sauce for.... 35 cents. In disbelief, we declined his offer. Same guy came by later as we were getting up to leave and asked if he could take our trash for us. When I asked if we would incur a 35 cent up-charge for him carrying our trash, he apologized for the earlier ridiculous 35 cent request for a bit more tartar sauce. Yet, the apology was an entire meal too late. All in all, as I said the food was as good as any Culver's anywhere is, and we've eaten at more than a few throughout the Midwest. The experience should be the same EVERYWHERE. I can honestly say that I've never been nickeled and dimed over a packet of sauce at a Culver's, and it was a little off-putting. To the management, if this young fellow was "in charge" maybe a little more training on the aspect of goodwill with respect to reasonable customer requests is in order. He saved Culver's on Cortez a prepackaged tartar sauce, but lost some regular customers. We'll head to the Culver's on University or wherever in the future.
