Here's the free bread it's great!

Old school This is a great old-school Italian restaurant reminds me of my days in Hoboken. We were coming here when we had an office downtown. It was always great. Est. 1999. It's cash only. The old ways. Today I had the lasagna. It was great meat sauce nice portion. I think it was 14 bucks really really good. The salad that comes with and the house dressing as good as it gets. I think it has walnuts on it with cheese and olives. The free bread and dipping oil is also great. You can park right there in the lot on 185 Great Italian place thanks Scotty. 5 stars not a lot like this one around.

Place is filthy and has weird smell. Never going again. Food was below average . Pizza had way too thick of a layer of grease.

Hands down my favorite Italian restaurant. We drive 1 1/2 hours just to eat here. Get the shrimp Alfredo, you won't be disappointed.

Cash only! Excellent food (scallop pasta is amazing and pizza is full of flavor and cheesy). Calzone yum yum. Just go with cash!

Went in yesterday for pizza with my boyfriend. Realized on google it said it was more of a "take…read moreout" place so we ordered ahead. Coming into the store there was a cute counter by the window if you did decide to sit inside and eat. We came all the way from Kent for the pizza and wanted to try a slice before we left for home so my boyfriend ate a slice in the parking lot really quick. An employee (possibly the owner) came out with napkins and offered us to sit inside. We declined as we had to leave but the man graciously went inside and brought us out cold water bottles for our drive home! It was such a thoughtful gesture. Now onto the pizza. It was delicious! We ordered a regular pepperoni pizza and the white Neapolitan style pizza. It wouldn't let me add pineapple to my pizza online, which was fine because it didn't need it, the pizza was so good! My boyfriend loved his pepperoni pizza and I also enjoyed my Neapolitan style white pizza. It had a great garlicky flavor and was crispy on the crust. Will definitely be back to try the margarita pizza next! So if you're looking for a great pizza with hospitality I recommend coming to Joe De's!

A gentleman behind the counter, who I'm assuming is the owner, was very professional very friendly and went out of his way to even give my wife a drink out of the cooler. Additionally, we had a chicken Parm sub. It was very good and has a very light/homemade bread which is a must try. The pizza shop itself is very clean and has a welcoming atmosphere. Love supporting mom and pop shops like this. Keep up the great work Joe De's

I did my research on some pizza places in the Cleveland area before visiting in December 2025, and…read moreIl Rione came up. When I saw the ratings, I decided to give it a try while I was in Cleveland. On the day I went, one of my closest friends who is from Cleveland happened to be in the area at the same time I was, so we decided to try Il Rione together before having Mitchell's Homemade Ice Cream afterward. Parking was a bit tricky, as we were unable to park right in front of the restaurant, but fortunately we found a spot reasonably close, so we did not have to walk too far. When we first walked in, the first thing I noticed was the atmosphere. Not only did the restaurant smell amazing from the baking pizzas, but it was also tastefully decorated for Christmastime and cozy. We were seated immediately, and our server was attentive and helpful, making us feel welcome and even offering suggestions on their best-selling pizzas. I ended up ordering the sausage pizza, and while the pizza as a whole was outstanding, the sauce was the best I have ever had. Whatever their sauce recipe is, it was unbelievable, and it will be difficult to top that particular sauce. My friend enjoyed his pizza as well, saying it was one of the best pizzas he had ever tasted. Il Rione is one of the best pizzas I have ever had. I will be more than happy to return the next time I am in the Cleveland area.

Is the interior small, cute and cozy? Yes. Do you have to wait quite a while to be seated because…read moreof the aforementioned small aspect of this place? Yes. Since they don't take reservations, mentally prepare yourself for the wait. I came here with three friends on a Friday around 6:00/6:30 and waited around 50 minutes. It was nice outside so we just hung around outside of the restaurant. When we were seated the service was fast. We opted for the arugula salad and rione salad for the table and the salads were honestly delicious. For pizza, we ordered the larger size sausage pie (red sauce, mozzarella, roasted peppers, sautéed onions, garlic and parmesan). Thin crust with a good bite that holds its integrity pretty decently. Overall, this os probably one of the better pizzas in Cleveland.
