It's so refreshing when an establishment is uncompromising on quality. This is the best artisan pizza in Cleveland. Highly recommended.

Met friends at Crostatas Pizzeria for dinner tonight. Fortunately we got there just before the crowd so we got a table right away. They do not take reservations so you have to time it right. I had a nice glass of Valpolicella to go with my Burrata and roasted red pepper appetizer. Both were excellent. I followed that with a simple Marinara Pizza. The pizza I have had there in the past was always very good. However, tonight, not so much. The crust was too crispy. The sauce was dried out and not very flavorful. And they did not have any Romano cheese. I was not impressed. And my wife did not enjoy her Ravioli either. It was much to doughy. We followed our meal with excellent coffee and a marvelous Tartufo Ice Cream dessert. That did make me happy. As a matter of fact, that got them 4 stars instead of 3 stars. I make no specific recommendation. You should give them a try and decide for yourself. read more

Finally stopped by Crostatas after driving past it for so long, and it absolutely lived up to the curiosity! The decor feels like stepping into a hidden Tuscan garden. Here's the breakdown of an incredible meal: * Wedding Soup: Perfectly seasoned with the most delicate, flavorful meatballs. * Ai Funghi Pizza: A wood-fired masterpiece. The crispy crust paired with cremini, shiitake, and fresh mozzarella was elevated even further by adding chicken and artichokes. * Cavatelli alla Marinara: Bright, fresh ingredients that really sing. Between the gracious hospitality and the calming atmosphere, it felt like a true slice of Italy. Definitely a new favorite! read more

My favorite pizza in Cleveland. Great service. Wood fired, so best eaten fresh at the table. They have a cute small retail space with fresh pasta and sauce. I need to return! read more

Always a pleasure dining , menu is wonderful, never a bad meal, order with confidence. Don't forget the fabulous desserts too!!

The pork battered plate was small portion. The pork was beaten so thin and then battered and had a no real taste and it was hard. It was not easy to cut either. The fingerling potatoes were good. The Fried Zucchini was good. Do not order the pork battered plate!! This was not the pork chop!! read more

Great pizza and service usually, but incredibly frustrating seating policy. My wife and I have eaten here many many times over the years but have become increasingly frustrated by their inability to offer reservations, nor willingness to seat us at many of the open 4-top tables when none of their 2 tops are open. We live 25 minutes away from the restaurant and tonight raced home from work to get to the restaurant at 5:20 only to still be told that all the 2 tops were taken already and that the restaurant would not give us one of the many 4 tops sitting open and available, telling us instead that we'd need to wait about 20 minutes for a 2top to become available. Obviously, for the owner/manager it's all about the $ rather than creating a satisfying dining experience for its devoted customers. We decided to leave rather than wait; it will be a very long time until we give it another shot. read more

I went here for a late dinner. After we got sat we waited over 15 minutes for a server to even come to the table. Right as I went to stand up and leave, she didn't apologize she just slapped water down on the table and asked if we were ready to order. I didn't see her coming so it was a little off putting. Beyond the very slow service, the food is really high quality. We got the salsiccia alla Gianni and the Bianca dolce. Both were very good. I loved the caramelized onions and hot honey combo on the Bianca dolce. For the restaurant itself, It is spacious and wasn't too loud, but they still do put tables pretty close together which can be hard to navigate. I might get takeout from crostatas again but I am unsure if I would dine in the restaurant. read more

Food is very good at this small Italian restaurant. I enjoyed the romaine salad with fresh mozzarella and my husband had the Caesar salad. We ordered a margarita pizza which was really good also. For dessert we had the lemon napoleon. This was a great choice. Service is excellent. This restaurant caters to both older and younger customers. Please stop by and enjoy the great food and hospitality. read more

Came for my friend's birthday because we'd heard from an Italian native that Crostata's is the most authentic pizza in Cleveland. We were not disappointed! We came with a large group which was fun because we got to sample multiple pizzas. They were all delicious but my favorite was the pesto - the pesto tasted homemade and was so fresh and delicious. You can't go wrong with any pizza order. Our server was lovely and our food came out quick. Definitely a great spot to come with a date or a group of friends! read more

Where do I start? Went midweek and not crowded for dinner. Not the most pleasant of interiors and was seated near the cashier even though the room was only half filled. Slow service. As an appetizer I ordered the fried zucchini. The plate has 4 small pieces that were not crisp and with a plastic cup of mayonnaise. This is supposed to be an Italian restaurant and they serve mayo with the zucchini? At that point my wife said she didn't want a main course and I just had a house salad and couldn't wait to leave. AIN'T GOING BACK. read more

Great service, great food. Love sea bass, Caesar salad, prime rib salad, costoleto de pollo,

The caprese salad looked delish. Generous amount of mozzarella but sadly the tomatoes were not great ... needed more time. They were so hard it was hard to cut. We shared a mushroom pizza from wood oven. It was delish. Some fancy tomato sauce that wasnt as tart or acidic. The reason for coming is the cannoli... perfect and very crispy shell. The place is very cute if I lived closer I'd come here alot. read more

The pizza was great. Our server was friendly and quick. I didn't see the exact pizza I wanted so we created something unique. It was great. The ambiance felt a little off, but it's hit or miss for lunchtime anywhere you go. Pizza was the highlight of the meal, the spaghetti was average. read more

Food and service were both outstanding. The pizza was delicious. One of the top restaurants in the area.

I was looking for a casual dinner spot on a trip to Cleveland and Yelpers recommended Crostatas. Salad and pizza were my objective and the result was very good. Ingredients are high quality and the food was well prepared. Thin crust Neapolitan style pizza was eccellente. I need to go back to try more of the menu. read more

Food is just ok and should be delicious for the prices. Service is so slow. The hostess at the front was rude. I would go elsewhere.

This place was a hidden gem! The inside was beautiful, and service was great. The pizza, salad and breadsticks were excellent as well. Pizza was woodfired and made fresh. As vegetarians, there were plenty of options available. We called ahead and reserved, as the place was packed on a summer Friday evening. We personally weren't a fan of the fried artichoke, but it may have been our preference. Would definitely recommend and return read more

A really wonderful spot for a neopolitan style pizza. It's super cozy inside and the staff always makes you feel welcome. I've been here a couple times and have tried a few of the pizzas. my favorite is probably the pesto with bufala mozz. The pesto is soo flavorful. I've also tried the classica and norma, which were both delicious as well. The bufala cheese is one of my fav toppings so would recommend it, although sometimes they run out of it. the menu has several vegetarian options as well. read more

Service excellent. Given great details on everything (first time there). Spouse said Crostatas chicken Marsala was the best he's ever eaten. I tried a special, stuffed zucchini blossoms....the best vegetarian dish I've ever eaten. They had blueberry cheesecake that was creamy, highly rated by our cheesecake lover companion. Definitely will return and recommend highly. read more

After trying several items on the menu including the pizza, crostatas is a favorite go to stop. Truly authentic Italian. The apps were delicious and perfectly prepared especially the Burrata! The pizza is totally unique with a thin, flour covered crust and light flavors. Not heavy on the cheese, the pesto chicken is a go to with fresh pesto and strips of seasoned chicken, but the bianca is my favorite! The pizza warms up even better the second time for leftovers. This time I got the ravioli, the ricotta was some of the best I had and the entire meal is fresh and filling. Portion sizes are great, the meatball is a must add! However, the desserts are the best part. The hands down best tiramisu in Cleveland. The blueberry cheesecake was a delicious surprise with a perfect fluff and savory crust. Extremely flavorful and truly authentic. read more

The Short Rib Pappardelle and Arancini were delicious. The balsamic glaze on the salads was a nice flavor.

What a wonderful lazy lunch we had with my Mother and Wife.... The flavor profiles are well balanced and capture the essence and simplicity of Italian cuisine. The menu reads like a wish list for authentic rustic Italian dishes. The wine and spirit list is well curated and pairs beautifully with their menu. The staff was so warm and welcoming... The entire place was immaculate from the open kitchen to the dining room to the bathrooms. I highly recommend this restaurant and we will be back! read more

So disappointed to leave this low review because I love this place but the service tonight was terrible. I ordered a steak rare. It was WAY over cooked. It was replaced with one cooked medium. The waitstaff ignored me afterwards, like a banishment. I got a to go box and a bill from the hostess. This is a great place but service was not at its best tonight. If I'm dropping 110$ at your joint - you'd better step up your game. read more

Love this place it's a little pricey but well worth it, the pizza is amazing the Italian food is also very good.

Good I think wood fired or brick oven. Best I've had around the mayfield area. Desserts are pretty good too pistachio cannolis were good

My wife and I ate here February, 2024 at the recommendation of a friend. We started out with salads which were ok. My wife had chicken with some parmigiana added. This wasn't true chicken parmigiana, just breaded chicken with parmigiana on top. This was lacking in sauce and lacking in Italian seasoning. It was bland. I had rigatoni Bolognese with meatballs. The sauce was not very flavorful. Again, nothing special. The service was ok. The ambiance was family style. read more

It is a great place to have a tasty pizza. It must be said that we were lucky enough to get a table. It gets very busy. Their pizzas are cheap and AMAZINGLY GOOD... We ordered Margarheta and Alba pizza, Capresse and Napoleon Al Limon. The food has the perfect balance of sweet and spicy it's amazng! Totally recommend! Everything was delicious, I am not a pizza fan but have been converted pity. read more

My family and I have been coming here for years and I have yet to have a bad meal! This time, I got the Classico Pizza which was delicious. Crostata's wood fired pizzas are authentic and the ingredients are extremely fresh. I added balsamic to mine and got a side of white balsamic for the crust. It is a family owned restaurant and a nice Italian atmosphere. Some other things on the menu that I love ordering are the chicken cutlet with romaine and the fried zucchini for appetizer. read more

Ambiance and prices are pretty decent. Younger hostess girl is prickly but the waitress we had was nice. Really wanted an American style margarita pizza, but they did not have this option. My caprese salad had small pieces of mozzarella on top of huge, thick pieces of tomato. Pizza was pretty decent. Update: came a second time and this time the hostess with dark black hair was nice, but the waitress did not come and check on us at all throughout the night so we kept having to flag down other people to servers us who ultimately wouldn't. Overall wouldn't come here again after giving it a second shot. read more

This is the best pizza on the east side of Cleveland, and is a heavy competitor among some of the common west side go-to's. This is truly the most underrated pizza spot in Cleveland. Crazy as it sounds, Crostatas was the highlight restaurant of my Ohio trip. When I saw the pizza with Prosciutto Con Rucola Pizza bianca, prosciutto, arugula, reggiano, ricotta (no tomato) I couldn't wait to have it. It was just as delicious as I imagined. I will say the Napoleon Al Limone was out of this world fantastic!! So airy and light, and lemon and raspberry just heightened the experience, fresh whipped cream elevated this experience. I brought a cannoli to mom and burrata with sweet peppers, for Mother's Day (unfortunately they close on Sundays), picked up Italian turrone as well. Such a wonderful restaurant. Can't wait til autumn to visit again. The tiramisu is perfect, strong espresso flavor, lady fingers -- just like I'd make at home. Thank you for preparing great food. read more

Since it's opening, this has been one of my favorite pizza spots in Cleveland. I would say this and Marottas are both my number ones, although this is more of a Neapolitan style while Marottas is closer to a New York style pizza. Anyhow, the food here is always fresh, and you get to see everything happen with the open kitchen layout. While the place is smaller, it makes everything feel like a classic Italian kitchen. For appetizers, the fried zucchini and the burrata are must haves. In terms of pizza, I have always liked the margherita the most, but have never had a bad pizza here. If you haven't been here and are in the area, it's really a place you have to try. I used to be a regular when they first opened and I was in the area more, and do wish I could get out here more currently. read more

It doesn't seem friendly to outsiders. I felt uncomfortable. There were many cars in the parking lot.

Prices far to high. As much as I love an authentic wood fired, stone oven pizza, this one just does nothing for me. The crust had no flavor. Whatever they're using for sauce has no flavor. For the price, they can keep it. read more
