Great pizza and service usually, but incredibly frustrating seating policy. My wife and I have eaten here many many times over the years but have become increasingly frustrated by their inability to offer reservations, nor willingness to seat us at many of the open 4-top tables when none of their 2 tops are open. We live 25 minutes away from the restaurant and tonight raced home from work to get to the restaurant at 5:20 only to still be told that all the 2 tops were taken already and that the restaurant would not give us one of the many 4 tops sitting open and available, telling us instead that we'd need to wait about 20 minutes for a 2top to become available. Obviously, for the owner/manager it's all about the $ rather than creating a satisfying dining experience for its devoted customers. We decided to leave rather than wait; it will be a very long time until we give it another shot. read more

I went here for a late dinner. After we got sat we waited over 15 minutes for a server to even come to the table. Right as I went to stand up and leave, she didn't apologize she just slapped water down on the table and asked if we were ready to order. I didn't see her coming so it was a little off putting. Beyond the very slow service, the food is really high quality. We got the salsiccia alla Gianni and the Bianca dolce. Both were very good. I loved the caramelized onions and hot honey combo on the Bianca dolce. For the restaurant itself, It is spacious and wasn't too loud, but they still do put tables pretty close together which can be hard to navigate. Where do I start? Went midweek and not crowded for dinner. Not the most pleasant of interiors and was seated near the cashier even though the room was only half filled. Slow service. As an appetizer I ordered the fried zucchini. The plate has 4 small pieces that were not crisp and with a plastic cup of mayonnaise. This is supposed to be an Italian restaurant and they serve mayo with the zucchini? At that point my wife said she didn't want a main course and I just had a house salad and couldn't wait to leave. Came for my friend's birthday because we'd heard from an Italian native that Crostata's is the most authentic pizza in Cleveland. We were not disappointed! We came with a large group which was fun because we got to sample multiple pizzas. They were all delicious but my favorite was the pesto - the pesto tasted homemade and was so fresh and delicious. The pizza is totally unique with a thin, flour covered crust and light flavors. Not heavy on the cheese, the pesto chicken is a go to with fresh pesto and strips of seasoned chicken, but the bianca is my favorite! The pizza warms up even better the second time for leftovers. This time I got the ravioli, the ricotta was some of the best I had and the entire meal is fresh and filling. Portion sizes are great, the meatball is a must add! A really wonderful spot for a neopolitan style pizza. It's super cozy inside and the staff always makes you feel welcome. I've been here a couple times and have tried a few of the pizzas. my favorite is probably the pesto with bufala mozz. The pesto is soo flavorful. I've also tried the classica and norma, which were both delicious as well. My family and I have been coming here for years and I have yet to have a bad meal! This time, I got the Classico Pizza which was delicious. Crostata's wood fired pizzas are authentic and the ingredients are extremely fresh. I added balsamic to mine and got a side of white balsamic for the crust. Crazy as it sounds, Crostatas was the highlight restaurant of my Ohio trip. When I saw the pizza with Prosciutto Con Rucola Pizza bianca, prosciutto, arugula, reggiano, ricotta (no tomato) I couldn't wait to have it. It was just as delicious as I imagined. I will say the Napoleon Al Limone was out of this world fantastic!! So airy and light, and lemon and raspberry just heightened the experience, fresh whipped cream elevated this experience. I brought a cannoli to mom and burrata with sweet peppers, for Mother's Day (unfortunately they close on Sundays), picked up Italian turrone as well. Such a wonderful restaurant. Since it's opening, this has been one of my favorite pizza spots in Cleveland. I would say this and Marottas are both my number ones, although this is more of a Neapolitan style while Marottas is closer to a New York style pizza. Anyhow, the food here is always fresh, and you get to see everything happen with the open kitchen layout. While the place is smaller, it makes everything feel like a classic Italian kitchen. For appetizers, the fried zucchini and the burrata are must haves. In terms of pizza, I have always liked the margherita the most, but have never had a bad pizza here.
