Was excited to try this new restaurant. Unfortunately was left really disappointed. Our table for 6 was seated right beneath a huge air vent that was blasting cold air. It's winter! It was freezing! We were told we couldn't move to another table, and that "this was happening at ALL the tables". Our appetizer was spilled by the staff twice. My husband was bumped into by another server who spilled ice cream down his back. The food was subpar. Also was cold in just a few minutes because of the blasting cold air. None of the food came with any sides/accoutriments. Just a taco, burrito, or enchilada. Pretty boring. The three tacos offer choice of meat..but they won't let you mix and match. All 3 tacos have to be the same. Margaritas aren't served mixed so the flavor isn't well distributed. I would definitely save your money and go somewhere else. read more

Very slow service. Got my apps before my beer. Then the waiter forgot what half of our table ordered. There was 4 of us. Turrible. Never again. read more

The restaurant was great, the food was great, our waiter was great. It was all until I was home splitting the bill between my friends and I when I realized there was a random added charge of eight dollars that was not on the itemized receipt. I called the same night I ate there and they took my information and said they would call me back to figure it out. Two weeks go by and nothing. May I add the receptionist on the phone came at me and was blatantly rude, saying I didn't understand how taxes work. I wish I could add photos of the receipt. If anything, the tax price went up because there was a random extra $8 on the food. I understand mistakes and gave the restaurant ample time to figure out the mistake, but nope, nothing. They didn't care enough... worst customer service ever. read more

This restaurant has absolutely no organization with their staff and protocol. We called to have dinner and asked what time the kitchen was open and when they would seat until, showed up, and they wanted a $20 cover because of their inability to partition their two businesses. Who eats at a restaurant and pays a cover.... horrible, take clear notice of the star rating for myself and from the community. Won't be coming back read more

My friend and I decided to check out this place on a random Monday night. We got jalapeño raviolis and guacamole/chips/and salsa. For dessert, we got the fried ice cream. The appetizers were delicious. The martini and mojito drinks were amazing; made exactly the way we asked. The service was great! We were there for a few hours and had a great time. Highly recommended spot in the Seaport area. read more

This place is the worst. Food is horrible, don't even attempt a modification. Guac has sugar in it? Margaritas were decent. Service is the worst. Um Beth, can you clear a table GF? Just no. All around. Adios. read more

The reason for 3 stars only - service, we literally had to hunt our waitress down to get more drinks or order food. Drinks were ok ( not strong), food was good. No music on Wednesday night. read more

Waited in line for this bar for almost 45 minutes. They were letting in random people over us and wouldn't let us know why they won't allow the people who had been waiting for almost an hour. There's no rhyme or reason as to why they allowed random parties in over us. Management is rude and wouldn't give an explanation. This bar is terrible and should not have a place in Boston. read more

The bartender I had was amazing, so shout out to her (short light hair, glasses-didn't catch her name). I also enjoyed the ambiance. My complaint is being told by the doorman, bouncer or what have you to wait outside for my Uber. He didn't just tell me, he guided me out the door. "You can't wait in here, sorry, go outside, or the King's Bowling Alley is nice and warm you can go in there, ok?!" He didn't say it in a rude tone, but I did not pay $20 to go into King's bowling alley. Everyone knows that as a woman out in the club or bar scene, you should always wait inside for your ride, friend, ride share, whatever. It's a safety concern and I feel deeply disrespected that a place of this caliber and cost (where I spent hundreds of dollars and so did my friends) would make me wait outside in the dark and rain. I will not be coming back. Please consider the safety of your patrons when you tell them to wait outside for their cars. I was not the only person told this so it's clearly a policy. read more

Just strictly speaking about the upstairs bar... horrible, crowded, large cover and watch those bartenders... we asked for and paid for top shelf and my husband watched them pour a rail and then lied about it. If your scene is shoulder to shoulder can't move, rail specials then this might be for you... I wish I saw a review before spending $40 to walk in and pay top dollar for a drink that wasn't even what we ordered. read more

I had an overall amazing experience thanks to my server, Mirza. I really wasn't sure which direction my dinner was going to go after exploring the seaport and stumbling upon this unique place. However Mirza helped guide me in the right directoion starting with his drink selection of one of the shareable drinks for the table which allowed us to have quite a fun time and get to know each other better than any typical cocktail would. After recommending several appetizers and meals all of which were a hit it helped me solidify that this will be a consistant go to spot for me! read more

I don't normally condone bad reviews of restaurants but the drinks were terrible. You guys are a Mexican restaurant. The margaritas tasted like cheap Jose juervo sour mix on ice. The waiter was incredible. Super patient, so sweet. But your bartenders are going to ruin you. One of them had zero idea about what cocktails were on the menu. Stared at us like we had 10 heads when we asked for Mexican mojito and told us that doesn't exist and told us to look at a drink menu first before ordering. read more

My office is in the Seaport so finally a few of us decided to check it out after work to grab a couple of drinks and catch part of the Red Sox game...glad we did! The appetizers were great and while I did not partake in the tequila tasting (co-workers did but beer only these days for me) we all enjoyed the large TV for viewing the game, the music, and atmosphere...is convenient so we will definitely be back again soon. Place is "D Bomb"! read more

This place was good. We went for a birthday dinner and at first I thought wow, service is on point...but then when it became dinner time at the restaurant, service slowed down by a lot. In addition, there isn't that many options to chose from if trying to get a variety of food. To sum it all up, there's just tacos, burritos, and enchiladas. That's it. Oh, and did I forget to mention that they don't give chips and salsa like every other Mexican restaurant. read more

Went out with my friends here and they over charged me and my friends on alcohol by a crazy crazy crazy amount, called the next day to check on the prices of the alcohol and they were completely different from the night before. extremely disappointed and unsatisfied that we got taken advantage of, not to mention the extremely rude "manager" who we think was just the hostess. i will never return here and don't recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a good night. over priced drinks, over priced food, overall disappointed especially in the city of Boston read more

Great spot! I went in for dinner, and stayed for drinks. Food, and service was excellent. It gets busy in the bar area but music/dj's are worth the crowd. Over-all, 5 star spot for a night out in Boston read more

Showing this place some love because the reviews don't give it justice. Normally I live and die by Yelp but I'm glad I decided to go here despite the rating. Nachos were amazing and so was the special short rib taco. Our waitress Kristin was great as well. read more

My friends and I got a VIP table. We had a great experience until we received the bill. We were over charged $100 for 3 different bottles. How do you overcharge someone that much when you have a programmed menu in the system? Who knows..maybe they are trying to take advantage of a group of young women that have been drinking. Take a good look at your bill here. read more

Had the best time at this place until I got my bill. Waitress tried to over charge me 3 times. My friends and I got VIP. Long story short they over charged us 3 times on 3 different bottles. Tried to add an extra $100 per bottle .... really fun bar but bartenders and waitresses will take advantage of you if you are drinking so be careful! Take an extra close look at the bill and don't believe anything they say! read more

Went to the Seaport with some friends over the 4th weekend and we went to Scorpion Bar. Best choice we made all weekend! Food was awesome and the tequila selection was impressive. Wanted to try a good smooth sipping tequila that wasn't too pricey and Graham the manager suggested that I try the Mayan Silver. It was perfect. Ended up staying pretty late, Lots of TV's watched the Sox and some World cup, and a killer DJ had the place rockin. Planning a trip back very soon for another big night out with the boyz. read more

To start with a positive- our server Nathalie was great. She was really friendly and attentive. The food was mediocre at best, and the margarita was realllly sweet and didn't taste like a margarita. The low blow was that we were overcharged on our bill, which I realized when we came home (husband paid and didn't notice). Called the restaurant and left a message, hopefully someone calls back. read more

If I could give Scorpion Bar zero stars I would. What a disappointment. I came with my boyfriend with a Gilt City deal we had purchased to try out the restaurant. Let me start by saying the service was the worst I have ever experienced. The food was otherwise good, but this was overshadowed by the terrible waitstaff. We went on a Sunday afternoon and sat in the outdoor patio area. There were a maximum of three other tables with people, otherwise the restaurant was completely empty. It took over 20 minutes for our drinks to be delivered to us, and another half-hour for our app to be brought over. After that, our waitress disappeared. I had to flag down the woman bussing tables to see if she could find her, and even she couldn't track her down. I can't even imagine what the service would look like when this place is actually BUSY. When the waitress finally came over, she was incredibly unapologetic. She never once asked if we wanted to put in an entree order, or to refill our drinks. We didn't even end up using our voucher in its entirety, as we had already been there for over two hours and didn't want to wait another hour for the waitress to even bother to check on us. Save your money and go elsewhere. Even with the deal we had purchased, it was not worth it. Such a disappointment because the location and atmosphere had so much potential. I hope management figures out their waitstaff problem because this was just ridiculous. read more

Came here from NY for the first time & WOW amazing food and was most blown away by our server Milo! He was absolutely amazing. Made our experience better than I could have ever expected. So friendly and great service. Will recommend this place to friends and family read more

I and my friend visited this bar after having such an awful experience from YOTEL the roof top bar across the street. Let me tell you what an amazing experience we had here at the scorpion bar from our two servers name Alvin and Ce Ce, so so much hospitality from this place especially Alvin and Ce Ce are the very best example of how guest services should be. They made us feel so welcome and being so helpful in every way they can. We will visit this place again next time we are in Boston. Definitely 5 stars +++++ read more

Awful service!! The line was ridiculous for no reason. We had to wait in two separate lines and we waited to get in for about two hours. Honestly not worth it. They really should just let people in instead of making people wait to make the bar look "busy" and"popular" read more

I never leave bad reviews but this time i have to. My sister lives in Boston so I was visiting her 2 weeks ago (Saturday sept 21) and we were walking around trying to find a place for lunch, decided on this place. We walked inside just as the hostess was seating 2 people. After she sat them, she disappeared and never came back to seat us and we were left just standing there for a few minutes not knowing when she'd be back. So while just standing there, servers walked past us, the bartender even looked over at us, and never helped or said a word to us. Meanwhile, 2 other parties walked in and stood behind my sister and I, and were waiting to be sat as well. Finally after a few minutes, We walked to the patio as a table was just getting up and asked the server if we can sit here, she basically said no, we need to go back to the host stand and she will seat us, so at this point I'm over it and want to go. Needless to say, the server was rude and so we walked back to the host stand to be sat but now the host was in a different spot seating other people that had come in after us. It was about 4:00 and the place was not busy. I am a server myself and get how things can be.. but it was bad customer service and no one greeted us. The host could have said to us, I'll be right back to seat you two, but no. Needless to say we ended up walking out and went somewhere else and had the best lunch ever. I have many friends visit the Boston area and I WONT be recommending your restaurant. read more

I don't usually leave reviews but our tacos are taking too long to make, how hard is that??? We ordered four dishes, ended up canceling two of them. The jalapeno wings tasted like honey bbq, and the waiter told us this recipe is supposed to be sweet. Excuse me???? You walk in to a Mexican place and order jalapeño, you expect spicy!! The waiter is kinda rude. We asked if the chips are on the menu, because we saw every table has it and we thought it was complimentary like many other Mexican restaurant, and the waiter told us "you need to pay", I mean, can't you say this in a more friendly manner?? read more

Never ever go to scorpion bar! Live music no floor or room to move about. After a season of spending time and BIG money here new management didn't care. Scorpion Bar has no clue that customers AND employees MATTER! read more

Came here on a whim after work to check out their drink and app selection with a friend. Aaliyah, our waitress was super friendly and knowledgeable on the menu as well. Let me start by saying I generally don't drink Tequila, but learned I actually do like some types while I enjoyed the "Manana Margarita". So delicious! It's basically Don Julio Blanco, Prosecco and peach flavoring. For food we had their Scorpion Bar Nachos with pulled Pork. SO GOOD!..I will definitely be back to explore more of the menu read more

We stopped by on a Saturday afternoon before a movie and ended up back at the bar afterwards. The atmosphere is energetic and fun. Bartenders are attentive and professional-Tommy was especially knowledgeable about the menu and fun to chat with. We had an order of the regular nachos. WOW. Layers of yummy toppings on all the chips. And it is a huge serving. We had such a good time and good food, we know we will be back often. read more

Upon entering the establishment the three female hostesses who were all standing behind the hostess stand, paid attention to everything EXCEPT my family who had just walked in (keep in mind there were no others people/families waiting/ or around us). We stood there awkwardly for three minutes before deciding to take our money elsewhere. Very disappointing, I'd recommend getting a friendlier and more inviting staff... would NOT return. 6:30 PM 09/08/18- Check your staff read more

Not sure why this bar thinks it can charge a cover for people showing up before 10pm but they are confusing what they are with what they want to be. It's offensive to people that want to get there early, order food, and order drinks. It doesn't make sense. The owners here know better as evidence by all the other bars they own where they don't try to pull this. Be respectful of the clientele and know when it's appropriate to charge cover and when it isn't. read more

Scorpion Bar is so LITTTTTTTT We had a great time and we are for sure going back. The drnks were good and fairly priced. The bartenders were on top of their game so the drink wait wasn't bad. Karoke nights are poppin too!!! read more

Great, fun place to visit when your in the Seaport. Fun scene for groups and really good food! Highly recommend.

Possibly the worst cocktail I've ever had (and that's saying something!). Miserable place with so much potential. Like waiting for the party to start. read more

I came in with low expectations based on the reviews but I was pleasantly surprised. My friend and I came here for dinner late afternoon at around 7pm. We had a great waitress (very outgoing and attentive to us) and the hostess was able to get us balcony seating upon request. The interior is beautiful too. The food and drinks were a little disappointing, however. The sangria was very watered down and the tacos we got (Baja fish and steak) were very bland before we doused them with hot sauce but it wasn't by any means terrible. I'd go back for drinks because the drink selections are great but not for the food. read more

This is hands down the worst Mexican food I have had in Boston. Go here for flavorless food, diluted drinks and if you have extra cash to waste. read more

We thought we would try this place out. The drinks were decent. Food was ok. My problem was with the service. The sign outside advertised happy hour food specials. We visited on July 3rd and one can only assume that the seaport in Boston the day before the 4th will be pretty busy. Scorpion Bar had one bartender on to serve the entire bar area and he was struggling. He continued to apologize and by no means do I blame him, but this restaurant's mgmt team is clearly a disaster. Other staff walked around and did not help this man at all. I can't imagine how much money they lost by missing patron drink orders. Do yourself a favor. Go anywhere else and get cheaper food and better service!! read more
