Nice location and good looking ladies. Good took forever. When we got our food my colleague had a massive plastic bag in his taco. They comped his meal, but they should have comped the entire one for how bad that plastic bag looked. For this part of Boston they can do better! read more

Liz Cooper is such an amazing server and she made our experience great! We stayed from dinner to bar service on a Friday because she was just that great. Fun place, good food, great staff read more

I had brunch there and they had this really good carne asada hash. Just add some salsa and it was to die for. I sat at the bar and the bartenders were super nice. They had a huge selection of tequila which I loved 'cause I'm a tequila girl. Great food and great tequila is a win in my book! read more

Ok this place doesn't deserve a 2.5 star average...this place is really good to have a fun time and not paying any cover if you get in before 9:00. Its $20 thereafter! The place converts into a club scene like 11ish and creates a great atmosphere. Gets crowded but surely you will have a great time. Not giving 5 stars as I think their drinks can get a little better. I would love if they have cocktails like Lolitas and this place can be a big hit. Will definitely go back! read more

Poor management. We had a group of 10+ people and management could not explain why they only took 4 cards /table. We should have been informed as soon as we sat down. Instead of explaining why they only took 4 cards, he instantly got defensive. Regardless of the irrational reasoning behind 4 cards/table, poor customer service is unacceptable. read more

I am not giving less stars because it's not possible. WORST experience ever!! WORST service I have ever seen in my whole life, anywhere in the world!! I can safely say I had better service in low-cost establishments and in fastfood chains. We were a party of 23 people and even before we arrived we had a problem with the manager accommodating the changes in the number of guests. The drinks took forever to be served, we had to beg to have our water glasses refilled, and the food came to the table cold, and some people had to leave before their food ever arrived. On top of that, if you have an allergic reaction to a certain ingredient don't mind informing the staff because they will serve you the very same ingredient and tell you they can't redo it after it is served. The manager in charge for our party was RUDE and acted as if he was doing us a favor, and the rest of the staff followed the example of not being able to listen and accommodate requests. So we were told we couldn't get our change back because they had closed the day already, that we had to figure out on our own who was paying how much, and "bullied" into giving a tip in the end. By the end it was pointless to give the manager the points that could be improved as he only kept a defensive and arrogant attitude! I have no idea how these people are put in charge in a supposedly SERVICE ORIENTED industry!! THE NERVE of these staff - John, Crystal and Connor!!! I can't even believe this happened!! If you ever get stuck with them (in case you still visit) please ask to change IMMEDIATELY because the only guarantee is AWFUL SERVICE!!!! read more

It was one of our worst experience in this place. We were 20 MBA students and did birthday organization for one of our friend in this place .All foods came all different time zone ,plus they were very cold and one of our friend told them no beans in burrito because he had a allergy and they brought him with beans. We did not want to give tip in %18 but we ended up paying tip in that amount. All waitresses did not service water at all and we were all shocked. Please do not go this place with big group or family, foods were horrible and services were worst. read more

It was ok. Went here for dinner and drinks. The drinks were pretty good, I even enjoyed their mango margarita and I am not usually the margarita type! The food was not as good as I was expecting, I might return again, but probably just for drinks. read more

I don't understand why there's such horrible reviews. Although, I really only came in for a drink and a snack. Cool atmosphere, nice bartenders, good drink and chips n salsa. Seems like a chill spot to meet up with some friends for low key drinks and snacks. read more

We were seated on time for our reservation. Table had a bad wobble and was sticky. Overlooked it. Water was brought over right away. Then we waited roughly 20 minutes before a server came over. Once we finally had our server, she was nice. Nothing bad to say. She was pleasant. My husband's burrito was good, but very heavy on the rice. My steak fajitas were very bland. No char to the vegetables. They tasted watery like steamed. My margarita was mediocre. The atmosphere was nice though. Warm night, lights overhead, outdoor patio seating. I can't say we will return. It was underwhelming. read more

The food is amazing and so are the drinks but the past two nights we have had one of the most frustrating and slowest waitress ever; Jaime M. We got there at exactly 10 with reservations, and we waited until 10:45 to order our food (and that's only because we waved at her). She doesn't come to the table to ask if we are ok, we literally have to wave her over to ask her for anything. We finally left Scorpion at 12:30, exactly 2 hours and a half for 2 drinks each, and one entree. Not attentive or pleasant. And it sucks we had her two days in a row because the first day we went we decided to go back a second day because the service wasn't too pleasant, and today same thing. Next time we get her as our waitress I will ask for another one. read more

This is the worst place to go!!!!! Service was so bad. We sat for 38 min. Before someone was flagged down only to tell us someone else can help us. Loud and young. I mean young and LOuD. Finally got served and it was nasty. $ 18.00 to park later we ate at home. read more

We went today 7/8/18 around 4pm . Nice place nice view!!! Our waitress has the worst attitude !!! ! She disappeared for the longest time , on 3 tables she was attending people had to look for her to pay their bills.. 25 minutes later our food comes cold and not exactly what we asked for ! But again the waitress disappeared..... Disappointed! First and last time And not to mention the Mango mojito taste horrible! read more

Dive bar drinks with rooftop bar prices. I got a margarita and it didn't even come in a margarita glass. It tasted like it was made with store bought mix, super sour. It even gave me heartburn after because it tasted so cheap. My friend got the bourbon cooler and it just tasted like bourbon and Lipton tea. Overall, very cheap tasting drinks, I've had better at college frat parties. read more

To be fair, I didn't try the food --only the drinks. The food looked and smelled tasty enough (although all the other reviews state otherwise). The red sangria was pretty good. Not too sweet, not too boozy, a bit pricey but that's what you expect in the seaport! For a Saturday afternoon, the bar was super busy. Atmosphere was modern and fun- looks like it could be a good place to watch a game with the huge tv. read more

Don't understand why the cover is 20 on a Saturday?! I'm too young and college-tuition-indebted to afford that!

If you want a margarita made with crappy margarita mix, this is the place to be. However, if you want something more authentic, save your time and money and go to Lolita. read more

Fun enough club-- but women take note! I came to Scorpion Bar with a group of 7 friends for a night of dancing and drinking. The bar was cool, the music was good, and the crowd was a little older, which I liked. Overall, I was having a great time and actually already planning to come back in a few weeks with other friends. Around 1 AM, the crowd was thinning out, so there was plenty of room to dance. All of a sudden, two drunk a**holes groped me from behind, in a manner far worse than anything I've experienced before. I turned around and put them in their place as best I could without endangering myself. I walked directly over to security and reported the incident. The security guard did not respond and walked a few steps in the opposite direction. I angrily asked why he was doing nothing. As someone who regularly goes to clubs in Boston, I've never seen security not take immediate action to these types of incidents. My friend came over and asked me what was happening, then started yelling at the security guard asking him why he was doing nothing. The guard got in my friend's face saying my friend was "disrespecting him" and threatened to kick my friend out of the club, rather than addressing the extreme sexual harassment I had just reported. I spoke with a manager, who was more professional than his employee. He pulled his staff member over and had me confront him face-to-face (tbh, this was actually a super weird call, but whatever). When I told the first security guard I was disappointed with how he handled the situation, he again was far more concerned with my friend "disrespecting him" than the sexual harassment I experienced in the club. No apology given, not even more generally about for what had happened. The manager did passingly apologize for the original incident. The a**holes were kicked out of the club, but overall I was completely taken aback by how little interest Scorpion Bar took in the safety of women in their establishment. As mentioned earlier, I go to bars and clubs in Boston every weekend and while I have been fortunate enough to never experience harassment on this level, I have also never seen such a lackluster response from security staff. read more

The club was really not fun and the staff were really rude to my friends and I. I wish we went somewhere else and saved ourselves the cover charge, which is $30 too expensive. Why are Boston clubs so strict and mean and expensive? Really we deserve so much better. read more

The food was decent with the exception of our Caesar salad which tasted like it had been sitting around for a while (soggy croutons), but our service was terrible. We received the wrong drinks, the server forgot our order and needed to take it twice, and we when we got our bill we had to wait over 15 minutes to pay, eventually we had to grab a different server from another table to charge our credit card. It was not overly busy and they appeared to have enough staff so I'm not sure why the service was so poor. read more

Came into this place just expecting some run of the mill type chain restaurant and I was pleasantly surprised to find that this was not the case. The food was excellent, I tried the pastor enchilada and my taste buds were in shock by how fresh everything tasted. It didn't take much time for my food to come out which I was shocked by. Who would have thought in a packed restaurant to get food out in 20mins and it be fresh and not some recooked garbage. I tried the Fuego drink and the Tajin on the rim was different for my taste buds but really added something special to the drink. It stood out among other drinks I've tried at various places. Im very glad that I tried out this place and can't wait to return and try out more food. Also need to come with a group so I can try out this crazy drink called a bottle rocket cause it really caught me off guard when I saw it on the table next to me. read more

I wanted to express my disappointment about my dining experience last Thursday 11/16. I took my best friend out for a birthday dinner. Unfortunately it ended on pretty bad note. I ordered fried ice cream so we can wish my friend happy birthday. To my surprise the chocolate sauce ended up being barbecue sauce. Absolutely disgusting. The worst part was not knowing it was BBQ sauce until eating a few big bites. We told the waitress she offered to take it off the bill after we have already paid. The manager came over and apologize and said he could remove it off the bill. But would need to re authorize my card which then he added would take 48 hours for the original charge to fall off. First and last time I will eat here. I honestly think the waitress did this. It looked like we didn't tip her but the cash ended up falling out the check book and on to the floor. We discovered the money on the floor before we left and let her know. It just seemed like something done on purpose. I've sent this exact word for word email and I haven't got a response. I've also called and left a message nothing!!! read more

Scorpion Bar - Mexican Near Me - Boston, Massachusetts

This bar is absolutely terrible. I waited in line for over 2 hours while the bouncers let tons and tons of random people in who were not waiting in line. It was completely disrespectful and I'm disgusted in the management for allowing this to happen. read more

We had a fun night party of 12. There was a long line out front (30 plus people) in January - so I walked up to the guy and he said that for $600 we could get a table and walk up right now. The $ goes towards the bill. We did that. All the girls were able to get out of the cold, party at a table upstairs, and it turned out to be about $80 per person all in when we split it up with our two bottles (don Julio and grey goose) - the gal making our drinks kept walking away during the night which was a little frustrating, and even took another party once she realized we weren't getting more bottles. We ended up mixing our own drinks by 1245am. This place tries hard to be Vegas - just remember it's still Boston. read more

Scorpion bar is a new-ish bar that opened in Seaport above The Grand nightclub about a year ago. Little summary: Pros: Nightlife: Once (and only once) you make it upstairs, the place is fun. Good music and pretty good DJ, drinks aren't too pricey, a good crowd, and generally an enjoyable time. One of the better bars in Boston for nightlife, in my opinion. But getting in... First time we went to Scorpion Bar, we waited outside (roughly 10:30pm) for about 30 minutes. Fine, nothing crazy. What is absurd is the SECOND line inside, which literally didn't move for about 30-40 minutes. At which point my friends and I decided to leave, the bouncer (who I will soon discover is quite the perpetual jerk) begs us to come back and that there was a miscommunication between management upstairs. We leave anyway, deciding that a $20 cover is not worth 2 hours of time. FAST FORWARD a few months... I went back for Cinco De Mayo around 7pm. At this point, there was no cover but still a line for about 20 minutes. We got in, and decided to order some food. Food was truly terrible. Arguably the worst burrito I've had in my life...literally just rice in a tortilla with soggy chicken. Waste of $15. Service was also trash, but hey, what can I say. In conclusion: Management are jerks, service is below average, food is horrible, but the bar scene is fun. Pick your battles. read more

I was excited to come here, hearing all these great things but ounce i walk in all i see is one dollar bills flying around on this stage that looks like a stripper stage and 2 girls were bent over, butt all out in guys faces. I thought my friend was trying to punk me into going to a strip club. So im confused, is it a Resturaunt/Strip Club. Nit all the girls danced as provocative as some others that really had great moves tgat i avtually liked watching. But i guess the Waterfront decided to add a lil strip club. Well i hope there successful, but i would never bring my colleagues nor family there. Too bad!! read more

I don't understand the thinking behind the line. We went on Saturday night and my girlfriend and I got there at 9, before they started charging the 20 dollar cover. We got in quick, no wait. At that point there were a lot of people inside, and it felt kind of like being at a really nice Chili's with a lot of people standing around the tables where people were eating. The issue we had was that our friends who showed up at 10 were in line for almost 2 hours!! It wasn't crowded inside. There weren't that many people in the line. They let tons of people in not from the line. Our friends were in the very front of the line for probably 45 minutes and watched person after person skip the line through the other door. And these weren't especially cool or attractive looking people, if that is what you are thinking. The line stayed like that until 12, then they let people in the line in. By 12:20 there was no line at all. And by 1 AM the bar was half cleared out. I just don't get it. What is their game? read more

Came in for a glass of wine with my roommate since it was close to where we were and it was too cold to venture anywhere else. Two male "servers" claimed us as their table while clearly disputing over who would take the tip. It was obvious that the women working were too busy tending to the groups of meatheads accompanied by escorts. It was just cringeworthy watching these men grope the servers who wore tight tanks and large scorpion buckle belts. When our server came over with our wine (one white one red) he held up my cab saying "who had the Pinot Grigio?". Seriously? I know this isn't a wine bar but it doesn't take a genius to know basic wines and their respective colors. Not to mention that my wine was probably from a bottle that was first opened weeks ago and had a very stale taste. If this isn't your pit stop before the strip club, don't bother. read more

We are seated for ~30 minutes and the waitress never came over. We eventually had to get up and ask the hostess for help to simply order a drink. The drink came another 20-30 minutes later. By the time we finished our first drink they refused to take a food order or offer another round of drinks (no warning for last call or anything). Our waitress legit came over ONE time to drop off our drinks and that's it. Even worse, there was a severe thunderstorm when we left and they kicked us out of the whole building and wouldn't let us wait in the lobby for an Uber. read more

Just had dinner on a Monday night with some coworkers. We got shrimp tacos, fish tacos, drinks, nachos, and churros. I enjoyed my visit here. Our waitress was super nice (sorry I forgot typed name!). Food was DELICIOUS! My friends and I attended for our annual "Girls Christmas Party" and we all agreed this place was disappointing, and a horrendous experience--thought we pulled through since we enjoy each other's company! The service is terrible, the drinks are not good, the food is meh. SERVICE: 1-Reservations and hostess: I made a reservation for four online and the system wouldn't take our reservation for eight. I called (three times, left a voice message with no returned call) and finally got through to someone. I was told the reservation was all set for eight. Upon arrival, the reservation was for four people. Ok. It happens. But the host/hostesses (there were three) sat there and stared at me like I made the mistake. Ok. After several awkward minutes, I had to ask them if they could accommodate us or not. They said we could take a table and had to be done within an hour and a half for the next reservation. Ok. 2-Waiter(s): The waiter was horrible. Our drinks came out, and a couple of us asked him if it indeed was what we ordered (the margaritas tasted vastly different one drink to the next). He smelled the drinks and held them up to the light, and told us they were indeed what we ordered. Ok. Then one of the girls didn't get her meal when the rest of us did. It happens. However, it took about 20 minutes just to get the waiter's attention and notify him. It then took another 20 minutes to get the meal out. 3-Billing: After all this, they charged me for more than I put down in the bill. I left a tip because I couldn't bring myself not to. But the charge on my credit card was for more than what I left. FOOD: The steak on my salad was cooked well. The salad itself and the other food I tried didn't seem to meld flavors well--it just wasn't good, though the food quality may be good. DRINKS: Terrible. Margaritas aren't good. I think it's their mix; but other drinks were not good. SUMMARY: It's shocking to me that they did not one thing to rectify our terrible experience, and then they charged me more than I left. You're a hip new Seaport restaurant. You could probably get by with bad food, bad drinks, and maybe even bad table service. But you cannot get by if you are terrible and then treat your customers poorly. read more

TERRIBLE. absolutely awful. Food was terrible. Customer service was awful. Our table rocked so terribly our wine spilt. We were served fajitas without tortillas.
