The steak was recooked however it had a sour taste to it even when cooked right and my chefs tips pasta was missing flavor and pasta was overcooked. I have fond memories of going here years ago but I think the menu has gone downhill. They also were having technical issues so could only pay in cash and it wasn't cheap either. We are always well pleased with both the good and the service. We made reservations and showed up early. They sat up right away and got our drinks quickly. I was rather disappointed with my salad - the size, the quality of lettuce and quality of tuna. I would have considered this more of a side salad instead of an entree. The description sounded lovely, but sadly amiss. It was a bowl of yellow chopped romaine, not a "large bowl of mixed greens." The tuna did not have the appearance or taste (very bland) of "premium sushi grade pepper tuna." It was seared rare, so that's a plus. Always enjoy the friendly service here. It is a favorite post-scuba training stop following our in-water time at Lititz Rec Center. Without diving into the history, looks like Scooters has been around for a long time. I've always been greeted upon entering and wait times are never long. The bar is welcoming if you're waiting for a table. Draft beer selection always has at least a couple of nice crafts to choose and their bottle/can selection caters to the rest. I'm a huge fan of the salmon BLT. Had the blue burger as well. Shrimp tacos are yum. Food is always good. Service is always prompt and friendly and we never have to ask to split the checks for our large group. Very accommodating here and we'll continue to visit, usually early Sunday evening... read more

Well, I took a chance to learn about Scooters. We had a very nice waitress. I ordered the onion soup. The taste was nice although a bit salty. The cheese covering was very light yet there were a ton of croutons taking the place of the onions and the soup. For my entree I ordered the special which was a pair of smash burgers with cheese. The only issue here is that the smash burgers were not smash burgers. Just two regular smaller burger patties. No crusty smashed burgers at all. If they were not going to make them to have that crispy crust that smash burgers are known for then why call it a smash burger? I must say that I am leary to take advice from the server one what she thinks is best. I do not think that I'll be back since believability is not really visible on their prep of my simple burger. read more

Food is priced right despite being served on plastic ,not really a big deal (maybe a half star). Ambiance is outdated but seemingly clean. Reminds me of where I used to live growing up (30,000 pop.) Gave Scooter's a try this past week with some family and it was a decent experience. The interior definitely needs to be updated- I doubt it ever has been remodeled or refurnished in any way, and apparently it opened in '96. The tablecloths stuck out to me a big no, personally. Got BBQ wings and spinach artichoke dip to start, wings were alright but drenched in sauce. Lucky for them I like sauce! But for some people it might've been a bit excessive. The artichoke dip was ok too. For entrees, two of us got steak tip salads and the other two got pasta dishes. The steak was alright, not overly chewy, and the lettuce was good. Both pasta dishes were well-prepared as well. Overall the portions were all on the smaller side but I still walked out full. Maybe because of the two appetizers! Overall it was a decent experience, food was just alright, atmosphere was lacking. We might go again but might not. Lastly, there was a sign on the front door that made a snide remark about the government. My coworker finally asked her if we could order, I was worried that we wouldn't get our food order in time but we made the cut While we waited for our food we order drinks, I had a bourbon & coke...it was made in a regular sized glass so all I had was pretty much soda with a splash of bourbon. If your into average bar food, then Scooters is your place. We ordered drinks that took a solid ten minutes to come to our table. Then we ordered beer cheese fries for our appetizer. Did not know a glob of canned cheese dropped on fries was beer cheese. The burger I got was good but the cheddar that was supposed to be on there was very minimal. The chicken parm that the other two ordered was average no seasoned chicken with under melted mozzarella on it. Will have to scoot on past this place next time. read more

First time here on a Thursday night. We sat out on the patio. Nice space in the summer. They have what appears to be clear plastic walls they can roll down when the weather gets colder. After eating dinner at another restaurant on 8/19/19, my wife and I decided to stop in for a drink prior to going home. Since we hadn't been to Scooter's in years, we were anxious to revisit it. Unfortunately, this was a bad choice. My wife ordered a wine. Although I expected it from a box, I didn't anticipate the bartender to take the empty bag out of the box and squeeze it dry into her glass. I ordered a Maker's Manhattan Up. The bartender stared at the Maker's bottle for a couple seconds and them returned to me with a question, "do you want it up or chilled?" I was confused and intrigued so I replied with, "up." She then poured me a double of Maker's Mark neat. Charged me for a Manhattan according to the receipt. If she didn't know how to make a Manhattan, why didn't she either ask me or check their cheat sheet computer program. Luckily, I enjoy bourbon neat so her forced audible was ok with me. While drinking my not-a-Manhattan, a cook then emerged from the kitchen and started flirting heavily with the bartender in front of us. His flirting style also gets 1 star because in the course of trying to court this lady, he dropped the "f-word" at least 5 times. All in full view and ear shot of her only customers, us. My wife and I had the rare opportunity to go out for a dinner on our own. We perused online menus and chose Scooters because the menu seemed very unique and appealing. Don't believe the hype. We were seated quickly, and our drink and appetizer order was taken promptly. The waitress didn't seem to be too enthused to be there. We wanted the crab dip, but it wasn't available so we settled on the spinach and artichoke dip. It was pretty good. The main dishes were a huge disappointment. The Caesar salad was old lettuce with 4 croutons. The firecracker shrimp were just ok. I ordered the 12 oz NY strip (a $29 choice) with fries. The steak was the most tough and tasteless steak I've ever had, and the fries seemed to be straight from the Giant freezer section. While we waited for the bill, two couples that were seated after us and finished after us were given their checks and left. All in all, with two beers, a cocktail and our food the bill was $71 (before tip). The "meh" service and unappealing food was not at all worth it. We won't be going back. read more

We were promptly greeted and seated - they dealt with my rollator (walker) tactfully and tastefully and the waitress took our drink order quickly. The menu is fairly well rounded but not overly huge. I went for a safe choice - 12oz New York strip steak with baked potato. It was cooked as ordered and tasty. My wife had a chicken dish with asparagus and a cream sauce that was also tasty. We normally take leftovers home - but not tonight as we cleaned out plates. Had a great overall experience this past Saturday evening. We made an early reservation because we were later going to the theater. The restaurant called us to alert us to the fact that due to another event in Lititz the kitchen was backed up. We'd built-in time for that. We were super excited to eat here. And after getting our appetizers, our excitement only increased! However, it quickly went downhill from there. Both in food and SERVICE. They really seem to cater to those who order alcohol vs those who order food. So even though my family, a family of six, ordered well over 160.00 in food, our service suffered, we had to beg for refills even though the waitress delivered food several times and saw empty glasses because she wanted to really only serve the table next to us who was ordering large quantities of alcohol. Went to Scooters for prime rib. No prime rib. Couldn't give me a reason why no prime rib. Ordered Southwest Pasta, small portion. Smalls don't come with a salad. Had to order that. The pasta has chicken and schrimp. Pasta arrived and had plenty of chicken but only two schrimp!. When I asked, the owner said that smalls come with two and larges come with four. Wow!
