Soon after we all arrived I got up from our chosen table to order at the counter. The young female barista was making a drink and Colin saw me. Eventually I went to go sit back down because I assumed they were busy. 15 minutes later Colin came over to our table, left a menu and muttered something. Soon after that, he came back again in the middle of our meeting and muttered something again. He repeated in a very agitated tone, "You guys can hang out but you have to order something". Two of us told him we tried to order earlier, to which he replied something along the lines of "well we're wide open now". I had genuinely never seen or heard a barista act this way. I thought he's just having a bad day from the way he's walking around the shop, so I told him I'd go right up to order. Later, Colin generously brought over my toast and I said "thank you so much" and "thank you" as he tossed my napkins on the table. He did all of this in silence. The food is good as well, small selection brut yummy things. Service is always good c staff super nice. They have cute shirts and sweaters with their logo. Our favorite drink is the Firestarter coffee which has a little bit of honey and cayenne pepper. It's our go to usually. They have an espresso Negroni on their menu but in all the times I've been here they have never had the ingredients to make it. The brat kolache I had today was good, a little sweet from the bread, with a nice cheesy inside. Easy to eat.

I was expecting the type of poached eggs that are like small balloons waiting to be popped so the egg yolk oozes out over the corned beef hash. These poached eggs were over-cooked and looked un-appetizing, but tasted fine. The hashbrowns were perfect - crispy and tender and properly seasoned! The side of pancakes were fluffy and absorbed the syrup quickly. Overall a good visit. The food was mostly on point, except for the disappointing poached eggs and lack of onions and bell peppers often found in a hash. If I go back, I'll stay away from their benedicts (since poached eggs are not executed correctly, and corned beef hash, and instead stick with the Chilaquiles.
