Good food! And service.. great place to hang and get a good dinner. Jeff's a great guy!

We stopped here based on the recommendation of our Airbnb Host. Your typical hole in the wall place with friendly staff and decent food. They had quite a selection considering the size of the restaurant. I ordered the fish and chips (I have a hard time not trying them anywhere I go). Portions were big and food was tasty. Very friendly place and server worked well with our group of 10. Overall, not much available for food so if you don't want to cook...it is worth the stop. We will definitely try it again next time we find ourselves in that part of OH. read more

Kind of a cross between your local bar and neighborhood diner. Food is good but not special. Ingredients were fresh and cooked properly. Portions are just right as well. Service was good. Sitting in a crowd of what seemed to be locals, I still felt welcomed. All said, this is a respectable stop for visitors. read more

We ate there for the first time after the new owners took over. We both ordered the steak fajita burritos, which we have had at many different places over the years. Everyone has their own twist on this, but the basics are usually the same, so we looked forward to trying theirs. We placed our drink order....iced tea for me and a tonic with lime for my husband. The tonic came with lemon instead of lime...which was an omen of things to come. They brought one plate out and we had to wait about 10 minutes for the second one to arrive. So you are faced with the choice of one person watching the other eat or letting your food go cold so that you can eat together. Their version of a fajita burrito was not like anything we've ever had before. There was no Mexican flavoring whatsoever ......just steak, onion, peppers, mushrooms and broccoli (yes broccoli!) with a bland salty beef gravy inside a tortilla wrap topped with a cheese sauce. None of the traditional Mexican spice (cumin, etc.) you would normally expect . Our waiter needed to invest in a better deodorant....he had very bad underarm odor which permeated our booth and lingered in the air. Not exactly an appetite enhancer. read more

An okay place first time i went it was good then it kinda went down hill, very average bar food, chicken tenders were okay basic frozen style tenders, fish sandwich wasn't bad but small, fries sucked, and the onion rings were bland frozen rings, service was pretty meh the last two times i went, very long wait for frozen food esp when it wasn't busy read more

Waitstaff was very nice. Had to sit in bar area bc dining room was closed. It smelled like a dirty old building because that's what it is. Food was subpar. Had a burger that was still frozen in the middle. Won't return. But it's like the only restaurant around for miles in the middle of nowhere. read more

Foods bad and they yell at there employees for no reason and they have a bad smell inside and the only good workers are the dishwashers and the people who work the bar I hate this place sm do not recommend read more

We dined on Friday evening which was the 2nd day under the new ownership. There is a lot of Mexican fare but also choices for those who prefer the traditional burgers and pasta. I ordered the chicken burrito, and it was very good and a generous portion. It came with rice, but the waitress suggested we might try half the Spanish rice and half the refried beans to get a taste of both--which we did. The white cheese sauce they poured on top was yummy. Just enough spice and heat and there was no grease to speak of. Our waitress was great--she explained the different Mexican items on the menu since it's not what we normally eat. She was so energetic, sweet and attentive--she wanted to make sure we had a positive experience the first time there. All of the employees we saw were working hard to get customers seated and fed quickly. We are glad to have a new restaurant in Andover and definitely plan to go back soon! read more

This place is great! Wings are the best. Great fish dinners, terrific burgers. Beer & cocktails as well as soda pop. The finest wings? SUPER hot. They're delicious. If you love wings - this is the place. And Trish is a good waitress! If you fish or hunt up at Pymatuning come here for lunch or dinner. read more

Prime rib is always excellent. Always good and helpful service, and in an ideal location just off the lake. Great place to grab a great local dinner. read more

We went here last night for a couple drinks and dinner. I'm a vegetarian so I just got a grilled cheese and salad. There weren't a lot of options for me. The sandwich was good. My hubby got a prime rib sandwich. He liked it. They had some better wine and beer options which is the real reason we went here. We stay at the cabins in Pymatuning every year and getting bud light or white zin isn't our cup of tea. We like wine and craft beers. I got a mirassou Pinot noir. Hubby got Sam Adams Oktoberfest. Overall the bill was $32.x for 4 drinks and 2 dinners. We would have paid double that at home so we were pleasantly surprised. The staff was really nice. It was packed bc it was wing night but food came quick. We will go again. read more

Terrible service negative people waited forever for my food the owner trying to hit on my sister was pissing me off dont recommend for anyone read more

Only Been here once but we had the sweetest server and the food was wonderful (chicken tenders, swordfish, fish and chips). They also give some of the best complimentary garlic bread you'll ever eat. Can't speak for the desert as I haven't had it personally, but everyone I talk to say they have some of the best pies around. read more

I've never written a negative response before.. Waited 15 minutes to get a waitress at all. Got drinks, and then didn't see her for 45 minutes. I asked the hostess for help with finding our waitress, "I have no idea." is the only response we got. No help, no offer to help. After a total hour, we paid for our drinks and left. Ended up leaving with no food and went to McDonald's drive-through. We will not be back. read more

Really great burgers for lunch! Service was quick and simple. We went shortly after ohio restaurants opened after the first COVID shutdowns and the process was made simple and we were confident that everything was sanitary. read more

I could go on and on about how terrible this place truly was. To make a long story short, the server was TERRIBLE! She said she only works one day a week and I can see why... she shouldn't be on the schedule at all to be honest. Took my family of 8 plus myself over 20 mins to receive drinks and another 20 mins to get it right because the drinks were wrong the first time around. Not to mention we waited almost 2 hours for our food and they were not even busy but ridiculously understaffed. Our waitress was just so rude it was insane, we should have left when we had the chance. I wouldn't go back to this place if you paid me... horrible horrible horrible. Save your money and go somewhere that's worth it. read more

Stop here usually, when we're out this way, always pretty good, sometimes better than others, the servers really try even when it's packed on wing night, pretty good atmosphere, but it gets louder as it gets busier, probably after a few more beers also, lol, never had a bad meal here, been stopping ever since it became scooters , before also but can't remember the old name, ??, recommended, usually good lunch specials. read more

Come here for wing night. Awesome wings, fresh cut fries and drinks. The price is also great! We had 24 wings, 2 small fries (which were not small at all) 3 bottle beers a house salad and a pop and paid 32$. It gets busy fast on Thursday so come early! Even though it was busy food comes fast! Will definitely be back read more

Eat at scooters at least 2-3 times when we camp at Pymatuning. Love the service and the food. Burgers are great and the fish fry is to die for. read more

The food here is pretty average. I had beer battered cod, and it was good if a little bland. It could have definitely used more seasoning. My husband's chicken sandwich looked to be drowned in mayo. The service was good. Take note that they only have buffalo wings on Thursdays and Sundays. That's an odd thing for a bar to do. But without many options in the area, we will stop back at some point. read more

Draft beers were nice. Cole slaw was nice and creamy. Hot roast beef sandwich with mash potatoes had a good amount of meat. Fried fish sandwich was good but not as "giant" as I am use to and a little dry. Not crowded but staff was very busy and service a bit slow. Glad everyone was working hard. A lot of light bulbs were not working. Wish there had been more light. read more

The waiter messed up all 4 of me and my friends orders. They didn't tell anyone that there was a charge for onions, ranch, etc and the bread was soggy. Not very good customer service either read more

I've recently discovered Scooters by the Lake WING NIGHT on Thursdays! I've tried several flavors the past three Thursdays and I'm a fan! It takes a little extra time to get your wings because everyone is ordering them. The wings taste fresh and have always been HOT (temperature). The owners has stopped by each time to check and see how the food and service is and I appreciate that! read more

Dinner was excellent I had prime rib, hubby had fried cod. Busy little place but service was good and very friendly!!

Spent the weekend at the State Park and we decided to try Scooters. Hubby had prime rib which was good. I had cod which was bland. Broccoli was overcooked. STAY AWAY FROM THE BREAKFAST BUFFET. It was not worth the money. Hard pancakes (?!?) and reconstituted eggs. Thank goodness for the bread and toaster. Coffee wasn't half bad. By the way, when asked if non-dairy creamer was available as an alternative to the little packets of half and half. The waitress answered, "We have milk...." (FYI: that's not non-dairy.) read more

Out for a drive on Saturday afternoon. Stopped here for lunch. Very friendly. Good food. Good prices

Great food, decent prices great staff. Been coming here for years and now they deliver! Just wish they had wings on the weekend

We stopped there yesterday after looking for a new place in the Ashtabula/Jefferson area to eat. We drove past the bar and I have to say we weren't immediately impressed. We were seated in a booth and again the atmosphere was a bit lacking. However, our waitress was a delight. She admitted that she was new and just learning the menu which changes it's specials daily. The drinks arrived promptly and she answered as many questions about the selections as she could. The group ordered the Pittsburgh Steak Salad, the baked cod and the chicken parmesan. They were all delivered quickly and with all the various sides. Everyone agreed that the dinners were much better than the ambiance had indicated. The baked cod was flavorful and plentiful. The broccoli was a bit over done but it tasted fresh-not frozen. The spaghetti that the chicken was served on was done to perfection and the chicken was delish. The salad dressings were homemade so the blue cheese was thick and chuncky. Everyone agreed that not only would we go back, we would recommend this restaurant to our friends and family to try. We will be back. read more

Love to stop by for a few beers, close to the lake and never disappointed by a meal. A summer must

We stopped for lunch. Food was average. No one else was in the place yet the service seemed slow.

Great food and a great supporter of our community. Wing night is great. The service is great and the prices are very reasonable

Good food and pleasant atmosphere. Had the half-pound bacon cheeseburger and it was done as requested and very tasty. French fries were good also, not greasy. A nice place considering the rural location. I would recommend it for patrons around the Pymatuning Lake area. read more

Service left a lot to be desired. Seemed like a lot of "busy-bodies" working there. Took 10 minutes for our drinks to arrive and they were never refilled once. On a 90 degree day! Probably won't be back! read more
