...I've passed this place a few times and finally stopped today for lunch. Mistake. I stopped at a chair at the bar and the bartender barked that somebody was sitting there. Found an unoccupied one and asked for a glass of water and a menu. The tattooed young lady sitting at the bar had an office going with laptop, phone, etc. She was pounding down the martinis and speaking to someone on the phone about a business license. The menu was front and back on a sheet of paper and I picked the chicken salad. After a few sips of water I noticed a moldy taste as though the lines hadn't been cleaned. The plate arrived and had small chicken cubes and about four French fries. (Typically in any place near Pittsburgh the salad comes with FF.) Working in the area & stopped in to grab a burger & loaded fries to go. All & all, disappointing at best. Asked what comes on the burger, told lettuce tomato & pickle yet when I open the container 6 miles later, back at the worksite, it's an over cooked bare burger on a bun with nothing. No ketchup, napkins or anything else in the bag. The loaded fries were hand cut, but way soggy & undercooked. In short, it's a bar that happens to make mediocre food. If you're drunk I'm sure you won't notice but if you're sober and looking for a good lunch...look elsewhere. read more

My husband and I find ourselves at Crossroads maybe once or twice a year while out riding the motorcycles. The first thing I always notice with every visit is how clean the whole place is, bathroom included! The staff is always friendly and the meals that I've had never disappoint. We were there yesterday...granted, it was a Tuesday afternoon so there were only a few other patrons there, but we were greeted promptly and made to feel very welcome. We split a burger and some wings and both were delicious. They toast the buns! That always scores high with me! They offer the wings to be cooked extra-crispy, and while I wish I would've ordered them that way, they were still delish! (I very much prefer a crispy wing so my fault for not asking!) Really good food and a very nice atmosphere combined with great service gives Crossroads 4 's from my family! We stopped in for a very early lunch (11:30 am) on a Saturday and while the place was fairly empty it was quite early! The space is beautiful! The wood floors, exposed beams and beautiful brickwork inside make it beautifully rustic. The staff is friendly and outgoing and we loved being able to sit and chat and really relax for lunch. While they have a small bar style menu I hate the food better than your average bar food. We started with the loaded fries for an appetizer and they were delicious. The chili is not at all spicy so it doesn't overpower anything. I also like the cheese sauce they used as it was not spicy either. While I do love spice it's much easier to share an appetizer that isn't overly spicy with others. Let's face it some spices can really turn on a person ; so it was great not to have that either! My husband and I each had burgers and loved them. He had a Bacon Cheese burger with the prettiest lettuce and tomato on it. He said it was one of the best burgers he's had -- and he is Uber picky about his burgers! I myself had a burger patty with Swiss and griddled mushrooms and it was perfect. Oh and their fries - out of this world! Thicker than a fair fry but not greasy at all and they had cooked them just right. I found myself eating more of them than I should have (trying to cut carbs). My daughter had the barnyard flatbread but had no onions on it and she is hooked. It had BBQ, bacon and pork. She brought over half of it home and it was still good reheated the next day, too! We had all of that and they had Cokes and we ate for about $50 before tip. It was worth it and we will be back and bring others! read more

Right now my friends and family and I have been sitting here in this bar and grill. We have been waiting over 45 minutes for our orders to come to be served. This is the second time we dined at this place. The first time we were here, our server was friendly, made sure everything was fine and we had a very enjoyable experience at this establishment. This is the second time we arrived as a celebratory dinner because my wife and I and we just finished paying off our house. Unfortunately I don't know who our server is but she was very Kurt she didn't even try to be friendly to us. It took quite a while for her to get our appetizers and even our refreshments.. I don't know if our server is having a bad day or maybe it's because we're customers but we have always been generous in our tipping we have always been very pleasant in our exchanges with the wait staff here but, for some reason our server seemed like she really didn't want to be here today. She just came to our table and e ofxcuse the fact that they are a bit overwhelmed. Because they also have a drive-thru at this establishment. But that is still no excuse for being kurt with us and basically being kurt means rude. Perhaps they should hire more wait staff here but that does not matter if you're in the service industry you need to check your attitude at the door and at least put on a friendly face for the customers here. I know people have really bad days and I can empathize especially I used to work in the service industry as well. Every time my friends and I go to restaurant we always are friendly and respectful towards the wait staff because we know sometimes they get a lot of crap from the customer base. the customers should also understand the wait staff works a lot of hours and they're standing on their feet. But the same time the wait staff should understand that the person coming in to sit at the table might have a bad day and a warm welcome and a smile may bring that person out of the mood. Again this establishment has good food but what makes the food better is the attitude and the welcoming that the Wait staff would have for those that are coming to dine any place. I hope next time when we come here, which we will, this young lady will be a little bit more friendly. Again I know you have your good days and bad days. I just hope she has a better day next time. I also have to add that as our checks were given to us it seemed like they couldn't make up the mind on charging certain items on the check. So when will we address this issue our server became very rude. The sweet potato fries were not properly cooked (overcooked and cold) they were served cold because it seems we waited over an hour for our food to come to us. But after reviewing everything that the server concerning her mannerisms as well as her attitude you have just lost five customers. read more

Came here after a day of swimming at Nelson's Ledges nearby. Tried to head to Half Way Restaurant down the road but it was closed midday, so we came here instead! The food came out quickly and was very tasty! The dining area and restroom were very neat, clean and well decorated. Everyone we encountered including the host and our waitress were incredibly friendly and quick. Finally, everything on the menu was reasonably priced, and the menu wasn't too long or complicated. All in all, we had a great experience and will definitely be back if we're in the area again. read more

Went for dinner yesterday and after 1/2 hour, we received 2 of the 4 drinks ordered. No one bothered to take our order. Will never go back.

Just came from having lunch on the patio at this great newly renovated establishment. The improvements made are substantial and do not lack quality. Our lunches were great, nice portions and great French fries. Service was prompt and friendly. A good location for folks from all surrounding cities, Warren, Champion, Cortland etc. Here is a suggestion, this would be a great place to have BBQs in the summer....chicken, lamb or beef on a rotisserie/spit.
