It pains me to leave a review like this to a black owned business in Saint Paul, but I am severely…read moredisappointed in my experience today. If this company has cameras with audio, I would encourage them to listen back to order 6525 that was placed today, March 19th, 2026 around 5:45 PM. I came to support this establishment because I have yet to do so since the opening, and was excited to contribute to the success of a black owned business. The grounds were clean, and the music was a vibe. I placed my order at the Kiosk, and paid nearly $25 for a $9 juice and $10 smoothie with tax. Both products were wonderful. However, that's not my concern. The service was without a doubt unprofessional and uncomfortable. The man serving the community today began to chat with me, catching up because we were familiar with one another from my previous employer. After asking where I was working now, he began to solicit me with job opportunities within Life Juices and on his own personal product line, offering me $500 to assist him with marketing. (Mind you, this is very similar to the conversation we had when I met him the first time, he let me know then that he's co-owner of Life Juices and also offered me job opportunities.) When I declined, he asked why do "black women" act like this or that (I don't remember exactly what was said) At this point, I'm annoyed and offended. After I respectfully read him his rights, I told him I don't want him to make my juice and I'd like my money back. He randomly referred to himself as a Pharaoh and let me know that he would begin making my order. As I'm waiting for my order, two other patrons walk up to place an order. The man serving took this as an opportunity to poke fun at me with one of them, saying I don't recognize a Pharaoh when I see one, and dapping up the stud. Now, I did my best to be a good sport. They began to joke that I don't even know what Pharaoh means. I decide that I'm not going to pay attention anymore. As I bend down to give my three year old juice, the patron leaned over to ask "do you know what pharaoh mean" I responded and said "it means King". She then returned to the conversation with the man working discussing how women need to do better when they see a Pharaoh (that's just a paraphrase) Now if you get a chance to listen to the audio, I was referred to out of my name during this conversation (meaning the b word) and I'm trying to figure out how did we get here when I just came to order some juice that I didn't even want in the first place- just supporting a local business. SMH I'm so upset, honestly. The audacity of these people to refer to me out of my name in front of my three year old son was so distasteful. The audacity to include this random patron that I don't know to poke fun at any person, but me..? a person who just supported your establishment. All because I declined your advances? If you're reading this, shame on you. Do better.

Contrary, the University area does not allow for a relaxing environment so this is a spot that I will forever grab and go. I appreciate what Life Juices is doing after revamping a run down Dairy Queen into a healthy storefront. Highlights include hand made items which take a little extra time so you know it's fresh, side patio with plants and small herb garden along with some colorful Adirondack chairs and unique items with a food menu in progress. Sadly, I had 1 homeless person ask me to buy items and it ruined the vibe. In addition, there were questionable activities happening while I awaited my order. Ordering is done on a kiosk with a vast array of choices from pressed juices to smoothie bowls to smoothies. I opted for a peanut butter protein shake with dates and it was so good! I also purchased 3 pressed juices. Each item is almost $10 and then there were $6 taxes? I thought food was tax free? Regardless, I'm finding out that eating healthy in general, is more expensive. I hope Life Juices is able to attract the population it wants as the area for me, is the wrong one but right product. I'll be back!

Review Visit: November 13th, 2024…read more A little star power in your boba. Wandering around Eau Claire, visiting store after store and sculpture after sculptre got me a bit thirsty. While we were wandering around Oakwood Mall, we swung by the food court just to see what the options were. I spied a boba place as we looked around. Tim talked about how Rocky Rococo has weird pizza slices. I said if he's getting food, I'm going to grab some boba... so that's what we did. I always find boba menus confusing. After having been to a handful, each one does their menu a bit different so it took me a little bit to parse what I wanted. The lady behind the counter was super friendly and super patient while I decided on the black tea oreo boba with tapioca pearls in it. She was able to whip up the drink in just a few minutes and then I made my way back to where Tim was scarfing down his strange pizza slice and breadsticks. I stabbed the straw through the seal and started sipping... and what a sip it was. While I was hesitant on what I ordered, it was delicious and just what I needed to recharge my battery. Each sip was better than the last. While I was waiting for my drink to be made, I noticed on the side menu an option for a Royal Black Milk Tea. When I come back in 2025, that is going to be my choice of drink. The oreo drink was dang good but this sounds more like my kind of jam. There is also a Star Cup in the downtown area that I hope to visit next time.

Love the flavors here. Glad it's an option in the area. Usually I'll get a black milk tea with some…read moreflavor or another, and the popping boba.

Tucked right at the end of Main Street in Stillwater (or the beginning depending on where you're coming in), it's super cute and cozy, and the perfect stop for a leisurely Sunday. My husband ordered a double macchiato and was very happy with it, while I--not a big coffee drinker--was mostly there for the vibes... and honestly, they did not disappoint!! The ambiance is warm and inviting, and the staff were exceptionally friendly, welcoming us the moment we walked in. One thing I thought was super neat was the huge selection of syrups available on the bar counter so you can flavor and personalize your drink exactly how you want which was a fun little touch :) The shop itself is a bit small with limited seating which led to a slightly embarrassing moment on my end when I accidentally tipped over their dog water bowl while waiting for our drink. ‍ note: it's near the syrups and underneath the counter so beware!! I felt terrible.. there was water everywhere on the ground but the staff was super super kind and understanding about it and it happens quite often I was told!

That warmth really sets the tone for the whole experience and makes this place feel special. There's no indoor seating, but the patio setup is fantastic. Plenty of tables plus cozy fire pit seating that makes it an amazing spot to sit and relax, especially in nicer weather. It honestly adds to the charm. The drinks are consistently great, but the lattes are particularly delicious. Perfect stop whether you're starting your morning, taking a break while shopping, or just wandering through town. One of my favorite stops in Stillwater. Be sure to bring your dog and add them to the dog photo collection book they have.
