It was made properly and tasted pretty good. (I tried it). The deep fried pickles my grandson got as a side were burnt. Really they should have never left the kitchen . I had the bleu cheese burger. Not good. The burger was overcooked and the bleu cheese was some runny bleu cheese "dressing ". The fries were ok. Our waitress was nice enough but I am not sure she had ever waited on a table before. She didn't know the specials, we had to ask for tableware, and also for refills on our beverages. When it came time to pay we had to seek her out. It used to be decorated kind if cue with various humorous sayings on the wall, a handwritten white board menu and no tv. They also had a no cellphone policy. The small town cafe ambiance is gone. That's too bad. We probably won't go back.

The employees were friendly and I appreciated a place to get a hot cup of coffee. Hilariously I couldn't find basic coffee and real cream in their large coffee bar area. I ended up cobbling together a hazelnut creamer with vanilla coffee and whip, but "simple" drip coffee with real cream seemed to be the one thing I couldn't locate.
