For those who are unaware, Scoop Shack has grown. Formerly located in a small strip center at 71st and Binford, Scoop Shack has expanded into the former Regions Bank located in the very same parking lot. The new location affords Scoop Shack a more appropriate space for their growing event/birthday business. It also offers them the chance to explore some additional opportunities with the space. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Scoop Shack now also has a more "proper" outdoor area comprised of the space that used to be the drive-thru for the bank.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Oh, and yes. The bank's safe area is still here. It's kind of a cool feature. There's also a play area for the kids.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] So, I knew I needed to revisit and update my review. There are two van-accessible parking spots out front. There's also one along the back for the outdoor section (there's a window where you can order without going inside). There's still a two-sided, double-door entry. It's about the only part of the whole experience that isn't super wheelchair friendly, though it's not bad. Both owners have a background in healthcare - so, the awareness of disability is pretty obvious - there's even a ramp to the back patio area. [[HIGHLIGHT]]As this is a fairly recent move, the interior is still growing. There's a nice, comfy design to it.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Prices are still reasonable. They still offer four and six flavor flights. Their ice cream comes from local fave Sundae's. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There's a combination of half-booths and tables for seating.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They've also added a handful of light food items (like hot dogs), though they're still keeping it simple. Scoop Shack does catering, parties, events, and more. They offer sundaes, shakes, ice cream nachos, walkabouts, chocogattos, a variety of hot/cold drinks, and some bottled/canned drinks. There are two unisex bathrooms - both are accessible. I've grown very fond of Scoop Shack. I think they started right around my first review in 2021 (not exactly an easy year to open up a new shop). The neighborhood has really embraced them. I definitely recommend a visit. While I loved the old space, this old space is definitely a great move for Scoop Shack. read more

After many visits there has never been a flavor I did not love. It is extremely hard to make a choice though, so I love getting the flight to have a little of more flavors. We went to this spot after having dinner. This was our first time in but the ladies were really helpful with making some choices. My son enjoyed his shake and I had the flight sorbet/ice cream. My favorite was the Turkish coffee... YUM! It's a must try. We had a 40 min drive back home so it being packed in plastic was a little inconvenient. I went back in to see if they had something like styrofoam to keep the ice cream from melting as opposed to plastic but they didn't have anything. Overall the pricing was decent and next time we will just eat our treats there. It was late so we decided to head home. My son really enjoyed his shake. He gives it a 9 out of 10. We were in the area and brought up yelp to see ice cream shops near us. We landed at Scoop Shack. When we walked in the lady at the register was talking across the room to a party sitting at a table. There was a young man who just stood behind the counter looking at us. When we said we were ready to order he just looked at us so we went ahead and said our order. We had questions and as we were asking them, they were very vaguely answered. I always like trying new places but the welcoming mat was not out and unfortunately the ice cream was just ice cream. Each one was great in its own way, but we really loved the double chocolate and Lemoreo. You'll also find things like ice cream nachos, made with waffle cone "chips" and toppings. I ordered a pint of LemOreo via Doordash last week. The ice cream was refreshing and enjoyable until I found a long strand of hair in the ice cream. Afterwards, I threw up and contacted doordash for a full refund. I was disappointed but do understand that accidents do happen. I've spotted this ice cream spot a couple of times and while we were in the area, I suggested it to my husband. Very easy to get too and had plenty of parking. We walked in kind of surprised to see a line formed, wrapping around the tables. What I enjoyed about this place right off the bat was that they had a very large menu board that included flavors. Which was great because with the large line, we weren't able to see the flavors in the case and the large menu helped us know what to order before getting to the cashier, which in return helped the line move quickly. They had a variety of interesting flavors, one being Lemoreo (Lemon/Oreo), which was REALLY good!
