    Ice cream flight
    Jill M.

After many visits there has never been a flavor I did not love. It is extremely hard to make a choice though, so I love getting the flight to have a little of more flavors. Whenever they have Chocolate Amaretto Cheesecake I make sure to get a pint to take home! If you have your heart set on a flavor check their social media as they keep it updated. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Plenty of indoor seating and easy parking.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

We went to this spot after having dinner. This was our first time in but the ladies were really helpful with making some choices. My son enjoyed his shake and I had the flight sorbet/ice cream. My favorite was the Turkish coffee... YUM! It's a must try. We had a 40 min drive back home so it being packed in plastic was a little inconvenient. I went back in to see if they had something like styrofoam to keep the ice cream from melting as opposed to plastic but they didn't have anything. Overall the pricing was decent and next time we will just eat our treats there. It was late so we decided to head home. My son really enjoyed his shake. He gives it a 9 out of 10. Definitely try the Turkish Coffee, I'm still thinking about it.

We were in the area and brought up yelp to see ice cream shops near us. We landed at Scoop Shack. When we walked in the lady at the register was talking across the room to a party sitting at a table. There was a young man who just stood behind the counter looking at us. When we said we were ready to order he just looked at us so we went ahead and said our order. We had questions and as we were asking them, they were very vaguely answered. I always like trying new places but the welcoming mat was not out and unfortunately the ice cream was just ice cream. Nothing to write home about as they say. We both got the ice cream nachos. It is parts of waffle cone, broken up with a scoop of ice cream put on top. We even had to ask if we can get a topping on it... I would give a five star for presentation

We had an amazing birthday party for our mini histed by @scoopshackindy! Here's what we loved: Affordable packages: a group of 8 costs $115 plus tax, with bigger party options available! Staff provides activities! When you reserve your party, you'll be asked what theme you want. We picked Princess and the coloring sheets with Belle holding ice cream and making edible crowns were adorable! Watch the reel to see even more activities! Ice cream! Need we say more! Party package comes with goody bags! The birthday person gets an additional Scoop Shack bag of goodies Stress free planning for parents

I love the rotating flavors and variety of treat offered. The ice cream cookies are so good!

I went here on a whim, as I'm normally not in this area of town. It was a delightful surprise! It's locally owned and they make their own ice cream. You can have regular ice cream, sundaes, cookie sandwiches, ice cream cakes, etc. even just a scoop of ice cream you can pay for toppings. I only tried the buckeye option but I really liked it. Adding peanut butter syrup on top was a very tasty idea. Comfy seating and they have games you can play as you enjoy ice cream.

I have found my new guilty pleasure! Creamy, flavorful, and unique ice cream options made it hard to decide; we loved everything we got. I couldn't help it but had to try the "ice cream nachos" (the nachos are pieces of waffle cone!). Very reasonably priced, too. I'm sure you'll see me there if you go, because I won't be able to stay away.

This is my favorite spot to get ice cream! The service is always top notch, and the employees are always very friendly. They have so many unique flavors that are ever changing. I try something new every time. I love that you can order a single scoop and get 2 different flavors. The shop has tons of seating and is always clean.

Super tasty and some unique flavors. I had Peanut butter pie, but my friend's sugar cream pie was super tasty, too. Service was friendly. And there was local merch from all around Indy on some shelves, which was a nice touch. I think we'll be back.

If you haven't tried Scoop Shack yet, you're really missing out! The staff is great! They're very welcoming and accommodating. The atmosphere is relaxed, and there are more flavors available than most other ice cream shops I've been to. On top of that, the flavors are unique. There are shakes, cones, ice cream cakes, etc.; also, there are ice cream cookie sandwiches that are DELICIOUS. There are so many things to choose from! I ordered a single scoop of Turkish coffee ice cream, and I think it was the best coffee ice cream I've had. I feel most coffee ice creams are too much or too little when it comes to coffee, but this one is just right. The creaminess is excellent! I am not a dessert person, and this is the only ice cream shop I actively seek out.

For some reason I was craving ice cream after work, and noticed this location off of binford as I was driving home. I decided to stop and check them out. The inside location is very cute and colorful, and the service was great! I had a hard time choosing since all of the flavors sounded so good! I decided on 2 scoops of key lime ice cream; it was tasty and delicious! It even had bits of crust in it like a true pie! So good! I'll be back to check out more awesome flavors! Check this place out if you are in the area!

If you want to enjoy some tasty ice cream while chillaxing on couches (or seated tables...this is the place to go! The scenery A very modern and cozy vibe greets you when you walk in the door...there's even hutches like you would see in a dining room setting adorning local goods for deals. The Staff We were able to have great service and a wonderful conversation with the owner of the place. She shared with us about her journey on how she got there and how she came to serve locally made ice cream....pretty cool to get this info.:) The food We'll, they serve my fave local ice cream (Sundae's) and put it together beautifully with broken up waffle cone pieces, topped with delicious hot fudge (if hot fudge isn't your thing...they have plenty of other toppings to choose from!)...this creation is called Ice Cream Nachos and I highly recommend! They also have other standard ice cream creations ... if you aren't feeling the nachos vibe! Great experience and great food! We will be back!

Scoop Shack rocks!! They served Sundae's Icecream and have a great menu of options. The icecream nachos are a great creation. It's icecream of your choice on broken up waffle cones with whatever topping you like. This is a great stop along Binford either on your way downtown or on your way home from work.

Yes, these are quite a bit pricer that's for sure. People were buying one of everything in line. I was like wow! Some Items the combinations of flavors didn't appeal to me. I love tiramisu and pecan pie so I got them both. One suggestion I would have is to have utensils and napkins at the table for people to use. The pastries I bought are really temperature sensitive and need to be kept cold. Both had a cream - mousse inside. They wouldn't last long only a day or to the next. I loved the pecan item I ordered. It was great! The tiramisu one I wouldn't order again. The bottom flakey part was so bitter. I love coffee and expresso and tiramisu. But, the whole thing just wasn't what I thought it would taste like. Now I know. :-( Creamy, sweet, smooth, with a kick of coffee all come together to make a great tiramisu. What went from ordering 1 pastry each turned into 8 total.. and we regret nothing. The Tiramisu Danish was exactly as I had hoped for! The bitter taste of espresso paired with the sweet mascarpone cream filling reminded me of the holidays when I would watch my mom make tiramisu for our family. While a lot of people prefer a sweeter espresso, I thought this was perfect and very true to a traditional tiramisu taste The Pear Kouglof reminded me of a fresh yeast donut that's been tossed in sugar This was a very kid-friendly pastry in taste and while I wasn't too blown away by it, it did make me wonder if I would have preferred it with a stronger, more potent, fruit. The Cherry Basque Cheesecake -- this pastry was the house favorite. The texture of this cheesecake was creamy, but somehow still spongey.. cakey, but more like pudding. Mix that with the juiciest sour cherries and the crunch of a biscoff crust.. mind blown was an understatement. We're looking forward to what Beurre Sec has planned for their next pop-up

That could not be more true. We both did Pick Two: I got a chicken salad sandwich and my mother got a turkey and cheese both with the soup of the day which was butternut squash. Soup was OK, sandwiches were OK. I got a side of chips (not made in-house) for $3. My daughter was upset when we arrived bc she was napping in the car and she proceeded to cry for about the first 10 minutes so, I walked around with her to calm her before I sat down since it's so cramped to try not to disturb everyone else. She was not happy the entire time so we were trying to calm her and feed her. Cake slices and cheesecake are $17-20 each. They're large but other reviews say dry and taste old. That's pricey. We skipped dessert at those prices based on the quality of the rest of our meal... I got an $8 peppermint mocha which was good but, served in the smallest teacup imaginable. It's extremely small inside. Like, uncomfortable. Granted, I had a lot of items with my baby and her and we were seated at a table for two with her in my lap but it was close quarters and the waitresses were squeezing between the chairs to walk around. They have about 6 tables inside with a small event private room in back. Our waitress was kind but, the manager or owner was off-putting. She went to every single table seated except ours to ask how their meal was and experience and, when time to pay, she wanted to personally ring me up to ensure we left in a hurry. I get it, some places are not meant for babies, but, since it's billed specifically to kids, I thought this was. Nope, I was wrong. (She's 19 months - so, too young for this bougie of an establishment clearly) I would not come back at all unless it was for my, older daughter to have a birthday cake experience and get a couple cute pics. As far as instagram-worthy goes, they know what they're doing. As far as quality of food. It's like a 2.5 stars. I had planned not to eat because the menu isn't very inclusive for my dietary restrictions. If you are only gluten free with no other food restrictions, they have some options for you. For me, with gluten and dairy plus some other restrictions, my only option would've been a salad and I would've had to adjust it for my needs. I planned ahead of time to just have tea, and that's what I did. The tea itself was pretty good, but it came out very lukewarm, so it was disappointing. The menu says the tea pot is for 1-2, but it's very small and I'd never consider it for 2 people. I had maybe 2.5-3 tea cup refills before it was gone. For the price, I'd rather get tea elsewhere. For birthdays, they do bring you edible glitter to blow from your hand when you make a wish. It's a cute addition, whether you're a kid or grown ups like my group. The food and drinks felt overpriced to me, but I think this is one of those places where it's about the ambiance and experience more than anything. It's not somewhere I'm eager to return to, but if someone is having a celebration there, I'll prepare ahead and maybe ask for my tea to come extra hot.

The person working the register was kind and handled our questions with ease. We sat at a table with our number stand and then we were served. It wasn't that our desserts were bad they just were a lot for two people. Talk about sugar rush!! What we did end up eating was tasty and seemed very fresh. I love this concept and hope more people venture out to check it out. The vibe is very chill and there a chairs and tables plus couches if you want a different experience. Be warned you will be filled to the brim with chocolate but who says that's a bad thing.

I came for one free donut... and left with a box full of bad decisions…read more I'm originally from Connecticut and was driving through Indianapolis on my way back to Louisville when someone told me, "Don't leave Indianapolis without stopping at Long's Bakery." Whoever you are... thank you. You changed my life. The sweet woman behind the counter heard where I was from and handed me a complimentary glazed yeast donut. Let me tell you... WHEW! It wasn't even fresh out of the oven, and it still melted in my mouth. Light, soft, perfectly glazed... I knew right then I was in trouble. I ended up buying a box with blueberry cake, applesauce cake, cinnamon sugar, Bavarian cream, glazed yeast, and a few others. Everything was incredibly fresh, and at those prices, I had to double-check the menu because I thought I was reading it wrong! When I got back to my parents' house in Louisville, we warmed a few up for just a few seconds. Game over. They somehow tasted even better. My plan was to take some to church tomorrow to share... but judging by how fast they're disappearing, I may be testifying about them instead. Before I left, the woman smiled and said, "Make sure you come back when you're in town." Oh, I'll be back. I may even create reasons to drive through Indianapolis now. Long's Bakery doesn't need fancy displays or trendy flavors. They simply make outstanding donuts with friendly service and prices that make you wonder if they accidentally forgot inflation. 10/10. Worth every mile of the detour.

They are famous for their warm yeast donuts, however my favorite has to be the blueberry. What a delight! It's flavorful and the texture just melts in your mouth. If you've never been, note that the lines can be long, but everybody in line is typically friendly. Also, cash only, so be prepared to pull some money out the bank!
