Chocolate Sorbet & Toasted Chocolate Sorbet (Single- 4oz)
Casey S.

New fav ice cream spot! I see why Scoop is such a favorite in RVA. I went with my mom & best friend and we all absolutely adored our ice cream! I have an allergy to dairy and was blown away with how good their Sorbet's were. I got the Dark Chocolate & Toasted Coconut. They were so delicious and creamy, I would've thought for sure they were ice cream, and really great ice cream at that! The employees are super kind and give out free samples, so you can find whatever flavor is best. My mom really enjoyed trying the Key Line flavor but ultimately went with the Chocolate Malt. My fiancé is really excited to go and try their Brown Sugar Cookie Dough ice cream because he prefers it without Chocolate Chips. They're a couple places to get outside but I didn't see any indoor seating, so keep that in mind when you go. But no matter when you can go, make sure that you do!!

Love this ice cream place. They always have unique flavors that have a great taste. There aren't any seats inside but there are a few chairs/benches outside.

I absolutely LOVE Scoop and apparently many people in Richmond do too! When we got there this evening, the line was out the door! The service was great though, and they worked to get everyone served quickly. I love anything lavender and they currently have a lavender honeycomb flavor that is to die for! I was stumped on my second flavor choice, as they all sounded amazing, but the guy serving me suggested crème brûlée as a good pairing. Such a good sweet treat that really hit the spot!

West is banana pudding. North is triple berry cobbler. East is strawberry. South- I don't know because I was too focused on my ice cream

Don't come here unless you're okay with becoming ADDICTED to them. I've been coming here with my medical school buddies every time we hang out. Even this past weekend, my friend came down from NJ and he had to stop by Scoop before he left. I might be lactose intolerant but I endure the pain for this ice cream. I love them

If you are vegan, gluten free, dairy free, etc this will be your new favorite ice cream spot!! I come from a family with more food restrictions than a class full of picky eaters, & I was so excited to text my sister that I found ice cream flavors she can eat that aren't just watery sorbet! And not only that, but the flavors were so delicious and creamy. I've tasted my fair share of DF ice cream; this is the best I've maybe ever had. My friend could not tell a difference in her scoops either. Staff was super nice & were more than happy to entertain multiple samples. Prices were great for being allergy friendly. The shop is a little small so summer nights might have long lines, but we went on a rainy day in March. Can't wait to try the whole menu!

Peanut butter ice cream

I typically prefer a plain flavored ice cream, and this place didn't really have any (no regular vanilla, only a mint cookies and cream option, etc.) The ice cream texture was creamy but overly sweet. The service was excellent and the inside is cute, so if you like more adventurous flavors you might enjoy this place!

A MUST TRY! I can't wait to go back and try another unique delicious ice cream! Totally deserves its #26 of top 100 ice cream locations as their sign said! I had the lavender honeycomb- normally not a flavor I would go for but it was amazing. So unique. Creamy and crunchy and perfect in one bite! Service was great! Very friendly and he let me try four flavors because I was very indecisive because each flavor was super yummy! Cute store but it didn't matter it was all about the ice cream! Little outdoor seating area.

Brown Sugar Cookie Dough

Outstanding. Best Cookie Dough I've ever had. Waffle Cone is so fresh & tasty as well. Very likely THE best Ice Cream in RVA.

Good vegan/dairy free options on a very cute street in Richmond. Prices were reasonable and service was good so we will be back!

Brown sugar cookie dough and chocolate peanut butter pretzel

My husband and I stopped by on a whim after we had dinner nearby. It's such a cute shop and all the employees were really friendly. I ordered the single which came with two scoops. I chose the chocolate peanut butter pretzel (which was vegan but still so creamy and delicious) and brown sugar cookie dough (cookie dough is my go to and the brown sugar element really was a tasty addition). It's located on one of my favorite streets in Richmond so I'm sure I'll be going back again.

A hidden gem in the Fan. This is a small ice cream shop that requests only 8 customers in the store at a time. The menu is plentiful with yummy flavors that include gluten free and vegan options. I had a mini of the raspberry chip. My second choice was going to be the sea salt chocolate malt. Next time. It was creamy and delicious. Very filling for a little cup which is great. You can get a loyalty card: 12 purchases get you 1 free. No restroom which I unfortunately really needed while walking about.

Caramel blondie ice cream
Dae E.

I enjoyed my visit to Scoop! The server was very kind and offered me a taste test the place was pretty chill for an early Sunday afternoon. I was able to taste test a couple of options: the caramel blondie and the mint cookies and cream. Both were great, but I went with the mint cookies and cream because it reminded me of my childhood. There is seating outside and I would consider this spot to be trendy.

Absolutely flabbergasted that I have never written a review, because scoop is my all time favorite ice cream place on the east coast. I am a fiend for any permutation of their strawberry sorbet, whether it's hibiscus or rose. I'm always sad when it's not in season, but their mango sorbet is a close second, along with all the other awesome, experimental flavors. Truly a Richmond staple that keeps me coming back time and time again. ily scoop ty for the memories

Trendy ice cream place, but not as good as stoplight gelato or charm school. Ice cream was foamy and the flavor wasn't intense.

A friend and I stopped in today to have some sweet treats and wow we were both amazed with this place. Not only does it offer amazing and delicious baked goods, but it also has hot food, alcoholic beverages, along with a lot of cute items for sale. It was painful to stand in line to place my order because once I thought I had figured out what I wanted, I saw something else that looked equally delicious. I ended up with a slice of salted chocolate caramel cake, which came with extra salted caramel, and it was delicious! I couldn't eat it all so it was nice to have the rest of the piece later at home. My friend got one of the Shindigz cookies and raved about it. She said it was one of the best cookies she's ever had. They have indoor and outdoor seating and as today was a nice day, we sat outside in a little garden area that had fountains and was very nice. But if it doesn't- WOW! Best vegan pastries I've ever had, and I say that as a vegan of 10 years. We got the chocolate & pb cake which was incredible. It was moist, flavorful and not too heavy or too sweet. The cosmic brownie was a winner, and I was so happy to eat a chocolate croissant for the first time since going vegan! We tried a cupcake which was light and airy, with delicious frosting that wasn't too sweet, which I have found common with vegan sweets made by non vegan bakeries. We also tried the breakfast sandwich and burrito, which were so delicious and flavorful. My friend said she wouldn't have known any of it was vegan. We also picked up some cute stickers, and browsed their vegan snack shelf. The staff was so kind, and carefully packed up 4 pastries for me to bring back to California. They made it safely through 2 flights and multiple car rides! I love how this is a community hub, with meals you can purchase to pay it forward, a bulletin board of announcements, free library, and inclusive signage. We felt so welcome here, and I loved the bathroom stickers and framed review on the wall. There is NOTHING better than supporting a fully vegan business who fights for what is right. I will be dreaming of Minglewood's goodies until the next time I find myself out in Richmond. Thank you for ALL you do!

I ultimately had to ask another customer who was standing in line if they knew where to pick up a DoorDash order. The entire experience was incredibly dismissive and unprofessional. The items are in a glass enclosed display that you have to open and place your selections on your tray for purchase. I settled on the pistachio cream filled pecan pastry, the almond twist, and strawberry shortcake. The beverage menu was extensive: matcha, flavored teas, cocoa, espresso/coffee, and more. We were greeted by pleasant staff at checkout and our orders placed in a parchment type bag for take out. They also have seating inside. The pastries were just sweet enough without being overly sweet, which I like. The pistachio cream was a perfect compliment to the pecan encrusted pastry. The almond twist was both flaky and crunchy with the sliced almonds on top, and the strawberry shortcake had layers of real strawberries, whipped topping and yellow cake that was moist. All were fresh. All in all, a great place to stop by for a morning pastry treat and tea/coffee while in the area,

The chicken salad was good enough, but I think the croissant alone would have been wonderful. The charcuterie board had a substitutions I was not made aware of upon ordering (no pepper jelly, blanched almonds instead of candied pecans, and a green onion mixed type goat cheese with bacon in it instead of maple bacon goat cheese). They did add little pickles and the presentation was pretty enough, but no flowers like the owner posted photo on here. The meat was pretty thick which could be a positive or negative depending on personal preference, and the meat was decent quality. The fig jam was very good. The waitress who was helping the other tables had brought my food out but didn't check on me at all. I had to go up to the counter again to order a cinnamon roll ($8) and a coffee ($5) which she brought out to me. The coffee was nice and dark (Cameo blend) and incredibly hot. The cinnamon roll was okay, not very much cinnamon flavor but it was delicate and the icing was decent. The interior was pretty and it was a good spot to read a book and spend a morning.
