Thought I would get my haircut since it was getting a little long. Usually I get a skin tight fade, and and a little off the top. My girlfriend likes me clean cut. My reguler barber moved so I tried this barbershop. When I first walked in, I did not feel welcomed. There was a guy using a plunger in the shampoo bowl , looked like he was trying to unclog something. He saw me and didnt even say hi. So I go sit with my girlfriend, and without even looking at us , the guy goes to the backroom and tells somone that customers are in. Then out comes an asian woman with loads of makeup on her face and she smelled like rotten fish. I didnt know whether or not to get my haircut but I needed it bad, so decided to just get it done since I was there. I figured its just a fade so wont take alot of time. So a quick fade wasnt what I got. It took 3 times for her to get it short. When the haircut was done, it still wasnt skin tight, so I told her it would do. I acted like it was ok but I didnt want to stay in the chair any longer, so I paid and tipped but I will never come back here. If you want a good haircut and service, this is not the place to go. read more

Was walking by and stopped to check the haircut prices. Prices were high for a hole in the wall. There was an asian woman by herself just napping in the chair. I had to fake a cough to wake her up. She looked like she had too much to drink, her fake eyelashes were half fallen out and you could see the cracks on her face from all the makeup. Her hair was big and I thought that I had just walked into land of crack cocain or what not. So anyways I told her that usually I go across the street for a haircut for the good prices. She offered to cut my hair for $16 because business was slow. Naturally, I took the offer. When all was said and done, I feel like the haircut across the street was better. I felt like she just wanted my money and didnt really do a decent job on my hair. I will go back across the street next time where they dont watch tv while cutting my hair. read more

I really think all the good reviews for this shop are paid for . Look at all the non recommeneded reviews. I must agree with those. Apparently, the asian stylist by the name of Mey, is not very skilled in cutting hair. It sounds like she has done a number of bad haircuts on alot of guys. Theres quite a bit of complaints about the asian woman and fyi her name is Mey. I have to agree with the complaints. She gave me a terrible haircut. I left there with no sideburns and she didnt blend my sides and top. It looked like a hack job that I could have done myself. I dont know why I got a haircut here after reading all the bad reviews. I guess I just wanted to see if the bad reviews were right or the good ones, but now its clear, DO NOT get your haircut here, especially with Mey. read more

Had an appointment for after a long day at work. Get there 5 minutes early. I get in and say I have an appointment. They say they dont have my name on the list. I told them that I called earlier today and talked with a woman and she booked it They insist that I did not make the appointment. The short guy tells me he has been there all day and that no one should even come in when he is tired and wants to go home. I was thinking to myself, did he really just say that? So anyways I told them to stick it up their a}#^!€}ss and just left. Whatever you guys do, DO NOT come here, these people are flat out rude. Take your business elsewhere! I just wanted a quick buzz on my head, nothing fancy. The woman with overdrawn lips was using extremely dull clippers on me, it was pulling like hell. I told her but she was too busy talking to the owner about her weekend to even notice. And they got the tv on so loud, I thought my head was going to explode. So I get home and theres uneven hairs all over my head. I will just go across the street next time, no loud tv across the street . Theres no way I will come back here. So you walk in and no one says hi, they just ignore you. Then you sit down thinking your next up for a haircut. Then over 30 minutes later they take the next guy that walks in.They say he was next. So basicly they had me wait for over 30 minutes for nothing, they couldn't even aplologize. What kind of business is this? Its a fu!@#%*@!cked up business, that's what it is. This place is a real joke. You are supposed to acknoweledge when a customer comes in, but not this place. I think its best you go elsewhere. read more

Unfortunately theres more cons than pros here Pros- convenient location Good for people watching Free shampoo Cons- Poor quality haircuts Flies always buzzing around They use dirty combs and razors Always watching tv instead of paying attention to their customers Haircut price is a ripoff They turn you away from the mirror so you dont know what they are doing Lots more cons. My husband and I had our hair cut by Scott Hansen today. Scott has been our hairdresser for many years, and we are thrilled that he is now in a location near our home. The shop is small, but offers the same service we have been acccustomed to. We would not hesitate to recommend Scissors Palace to anyone looking for a great haircut at a reasonable price. I am not one to complain, I am not a picky guy. But when you walk in to a business you should be greeted in some way. These people are just flat out rude. The asian woman, Mey cut one side longer than the other. And on top of that I had told her that I wanted the sides to still cover my ears. So instead of doing what I wanted, she did what she wanted. I used to get my haircut at Rudys but I never got the same barber . Everytime I went in, it was a different barber and I never got the same haircut. Now I have been going to Linda at Scissors Palace barbershop for awhile now and I always get the same good haircut each time from her. I went in for a shave. It was a terrible experience she cut my upper lip and i could feel the pain . She kept putting a cold towel over my face over and over. By the time she was done my upper lip was so swollen that i had to leave with a bandaid across my upper lip. Never get a shave here if u dont wanna walk out with cuts on ur face. She didnt even apologize I will tell everyone NOT to go here. read more

I went in for a cut and there was a short mexican guy watching boxing and he didnt even acknowelge me do i sat down. 5 min later he tells me the other barber will be back later. So why didnt he just cut my hair. So i just walked out. I definately will not be back. What kind of customer service is this crap! I wanted this place to be good for my haircut. I always liked old barber shops and this one looked like it would be a great fit . So anyways what i wanted didnt go well. Tony and Linda are the ones to go to for the perfect haircut, I've been using them for the past 15 years as well as they've been getting their shears and blades sharpened by me "ricks mobile sharpening". Great customer service and some of the nicest people you come around ! read more

I have had all the barbers cut my hair here, but I like the way that Linda cuts my hair the best. The way she cuts is really cool, no one cuts like her. If you have not had her give you a cut yet, you should definitely try her out. read more
