Many of the things I purchased expired 2+ months ago, so I'll begin there. I'm normally good at checking labels, but it's sad that I have to sift through every single product to find food that isn't expired. -Deli is atrocious, catch them before they pre-close around 4pm and pre-cleaned their slicer) -Meat. I can manage without produce bags, but you absolutely need bags for dripping, raw meat. (Carry hand-sanitizer, I informed the checkout employee there's raw meat on the scanner due to no meat bags- they did nothing- so not much you can do about the people checking out before you if they've left raw food) --I no longer buy meat here. All of this without getting into the scale/weights of their meat consistently being off when I did. -Produce. You'll be able to find decent produce, however, there will always be a few veggies/fruits on your list you opt to get somewhere else (bruised, way-past rotten, the "sale" lettuce and produce needs to be on sale a week prior) These leaky, rotten products will usually be placed front and center too. I know this goes with anywhere that towers their produce in a pyramid, but maybe take out those first few rows of fruit that have clearly been bouncing off onto the floor all day. Avoid the plastic wrapped produce in the foam trays you can't see the back of-- almost always rotten, mushy on the back & intentionally hidden so they don't have to mark it as sale. -It looks like they've spent a lot of money upgrading the security system connected to their carts, but forgot to upgrade the actual carts themselves. It seems like every other time I visit, some old lady is locked in the doorway, cart jammed, theft siren blaring, all because it's clearly malfunctioning (hey, as long as those thieving old women aren't running off with their heavy cart full of cat litter right?) All around just not a good look. -Parking. This place had the audacity to repave their parking lot without increasing the size of the lanes, so it's just as chaotic, compact, and unpleasant as usual. As I was leaving, a woman was almost hit by a car backing out near the cart return! Just get rid of the pregnancy/veteran spots-turn them into handicap (injured veterans and pregnant women can, and often do, get a handicap tag if needed) This would increase the amount of accessible spots without the weird "This spot is unofficially for a particular KIND of disabled person!" message. It's tacky. Like a fake service dog for parking spots. I really can't recommend other places in the area, I'm sure that's how they've been able to stay afloat. I'm keeping my fingers crossed the Super Target rumors are true, at the least, it may incentivize management to return their attention to this location. read more

While visiting Missouri, we stopped in and picked up a few things and were pleased at the selection and prices. Floor plan was organized and items were easy to find. We were also offered assistance, " can I help you with anything" while looking around. Nice service touch. read more

Purchased 20 Ice Drinks 5/2 that were labeled as 10 for $10. When I checked my receipt I was charged more. I went to customer service, had to go show them the price. They then told me that price ended on 3/11. I asked if they would honor the price and the guy responded "not for 20". Why does the amount I purchased matter when the sign clearly states 10 for $10? No apology or anything from the man and woman who were working "Customer Service". read more

Friendly staff, great prices, well planned out store easy to shop. Self check out are limited to 10 items don't know if that a good thing but seems to be the norm around town. read more

Worst shopping experience ever They are corralling customers into unsafe conditions at check out shoulder to shoulder. Signs say the maze like conditions are because they are wiping down conveyer belts & keypads after each use however its hit & miss. I asked about this with the main office & was told the signs at this location are out of date. Saturday,,2/6/21 - I had a store employee put her hand on my shoulder & tell me I needed to move along faster while trying to wait for the staff to wipe down the keypad which never happened. After checking out, I asked to speak to the store manager to address my concerns. He told me I was wrong and customers were not following the rules of one person per shopping trip. I replied that I was shopping alone by myself and what did that have to do with my experience. He never apologized fir anything and blamed customers. This location is the opposite of their slogan 'the friendliest Stores in Town' NO - the Worst Store in Town in more accurate. I will now drive further & pay higher prices to be treated decent. read more

I go to this place a lot because of working a couple doors down from it. it's convenient. Schnucks recently gained a bad reputation in the media for closing a facility to automate it and putting a bunch of workers out of work. however at the store level they still provide the same service that they always have. this place is always clean the people seem to be friendly with the exception of one gal that comes across as very arrogant. This is one of my fave places to get my prescriptions filled. Yesterday, I called to see when I could next use my prescription discount card. The nameless pharmacist (I wish I could have gotten her name) called me & said that she could fill it now so that I could get the discount. Since I am on a tight budget, paying $70 for a month's supply isn't going to cut it. I am truly grateful that she called me & saved me a bunch of money ($24 just for one month!) . read more

I go to this Schnucks a lot because it is down the street from me and I am a stay at home mom it is easier to go here rather then dragging my 2 year old anywhere else. I definitely spend a nice fortune here on weekly basis but lately i would rather go anywhere else but here! The customer service is a joke here and i say this not because of one bad experience but last few times everytime I went it was something. enough is enough! My groceries are not free and I am a valuable customer and obviously by the way I am treated lately thats not the case at all. What i recommend to the store manager or maybe even the district manager is take a close look at how your employees actually handle customer service here. read more

Please do not go there unless you have all the time in the world. My Arnold doctor faxed in my prescription and I drove the short drive to Schnucks to pick it up. Upon arriving at the pharmacy I was told it would take about 30 or 35 minutes to fill. A little long, but I realize they seemed busy so i figured that was a reasonable time frame. Over a hour later I was still waiting and asked how much longer it would be. About 10 minutes later I was told my prescription was ready. They only had one for me , so I asked about my second prescription and was told they did not have it. Since the Doctor had specifically told me I had two prescriptions I knew they were missing one. They told me that the pharmacist would call my DR right away to get it, but after a few minutes the clerk told me that the pharmacist had people waiting for their prescriptions and it may be awhile. I finally called the Dr myself on my cell phone although I had to go outside to get a signal. Somehow the fax did not go through on my second prescription which I believe was not in any way the fault of Schnucks. The clerk then verified they received the fax and said it would be up shortly. Well 45 minutes later I finally had both my prescriptions. I think almost (two hours wait) time is totally unacceptable. They were busy but seemed to have at least 6 or 7 people working. During my time waiting I observed the employees taking many breaks, some of the same people took more than one break in the time frame I was waiting. Perhaps if the employees were not taking constant breaks they could actually get the prescriptions filled in a timely manner. read more

Great personnel, always friendly even when busy. High quality bakery. Store is usually tidy and well stocked. Not the lowest prices in town but if you are not into the lower tier bargain sores there are good deals to be found. Had prescription filled here, they gave us a beeper, like restaurants give you while waiting so we could shop or wait in car. Took less than an hour to fill, cheaper than Walgreens. Has a US Bank with extended hours, their staff is great also. read more

I go to schnucks often and I will never go back again. I purchased donuts that had mold in them one day and just the other day I had a huge family gathering and went to buy bread when I got back home the bread was mushy and not even cooked inside. When I went back to return it the lady at customer service was so rude while returning my money, she told me they don't even cook some of the bread there and how sometimes when its hot it gets like that and rolling her eyes the whole time she was talking. Then another women that worked there approached the situation and started laughing, I don't understand what difference that made who cooked the bread when it was cooked and they sell it. I do not recommend this place to anyone and I will be taking my money elsewhere. read more

The pharmacy at the Vogel Rd location is incompetent and their staff is rude. I had a 90-day prescription for generic drugs that was $10. I told them cash, they put it through my insurance anyway (thus creating a record I didn't want!) and the insurance restrictions dropped it to 30 days. Too bad, so sad, is what I was told. Not our fault or our problem. Then when I removed my insurance from their computer, they still filled only 30 days even though the rx was for 90. When I called them on it they said they would give me 60 more days. I wasn't going to wait and --10 days later-- I got the call it was ready. I went to pick it up 5 days after that and was told they had cancelled the order since "you didn't pick it up on time." As for the store itself, it used to be well organized and decent customer service but lately it's gone downhill. I tried to get a $6 sandwich lunch meal deal which they had advertised, they refused to honor it because I had a 20 oz water and the deal was for 25 oz, but they didn't have any 25 oz cold waters in the case. Really?!? With all the competition now: Dierbergs, Wal-Mart, Shop & Save, Trader Joes, Whole Foods, Fresh Tyme, Aldi's etc, Schnucks better get with it or they will be out of business soon.
