This was the first place we eat out at on vacation. They are closed on Monday as many other places to eat in town. ( I say many but there is only 4 restaurants in the town) This place is more like a sports bar, serving pub food. But they do have dinner specials daily also.
I was reading the special board and I saw a swordfish dish. Also on the special board was chicken parm, so I knew what my wife was getting. So I ordered the swordfish entree. Other dishes ordered at the table was 2 chicken parms and a fried fish and seafood platter. I think someone order a corn chowder for a app also.
Dinners came out and they looked good. I ordered the healthiest plate at the table...I guess that means more Shipyard exports for this guy...HA HA. Getting back to the dinners I was eating my fish and got the the middle of it and it was cold, which meant it was raw. This is exactly why I tend NOT to order fish out, whether it being a freshness issue or people just don't know how to cook it properly. I alerted the waitress and she took the whole plate from me, sort of wish she left my baked potatoe so I had something to eat. As I was waiting for my dish to come back my dinner guest didn't care too much for their food. In fact this was the first time my wife didn't like chicken parm. The seafood fried platter was probably the best thing on the table BUT it definitely wasn't fresh seafood, it was all frozen syscos products.
So the waitress brings my dish back and it was the same piece of fish that I was eating , along with the same baked potato, the cook just put it back on the grill. REALLY? You really can't give me a whole new meal? I didn't bother eating it and figured she took it off the bill. Well... she didn't, I didn't raise a stink because I figured I am on vacation and I just won't bother coming back here. But common sense the waitress should have offered me something else or take the meal off the bill. She did neither..oh well, far better places to eat at in Jackman Maine.
