The service is always very friendly and they know us here by name. The kids have coloring sheets that they display for the kids to see when they come back. They clear the wall every few days. The only odd thing I note at this restaurant is the tea has an odd taste - but the Cokes are mixed with the perfect amount of carbonation! This is a great pizza/italian place and we recommend it for sure! Note that my kids eat "salads," (as they call them) with no lettuce! Haha.did I mention that this place is both comfortable and always clean?

The food was prepared with care and I appreciated the classier touches--hand torn romaine lettuce, and hand cut tomatoes in the green salad. Homemade bread and oil to start with, with real spices added to the oil. We arrived before the restaurant got filled with customers, which made the ambience less observable, but it was quiet, after a few more customers came in, Italian music started playing. Ordered Online. Their online menu looks 25 years outdated. No pics and not much of a description…read more Order said it woukd be done in 20 to 23 minutes. It was 36 minutes. Not thay big of a deal. The best thing the pizza had going for it was the sauce. It is described as a Marinara. It is not a Marinara. It is more of a chunky spaghetti sauce and tiny bit of kick. It is not sweet. Sauce is great, in my opinion. But it is not a marinara. I have had their supreme and the vegetables are never cooked at all. The crust on their Chicago Style is SO WEIRD! stick with their regular crust and you will be happier.

The place looks a little divey which I believe is a good thing for a pizza joint. However the interior is neat and clean. Not a fancy dining room... Maybe a little reminiscent of the old Pizza Hut days. Brittany, our server was a real delight. Chatty without being intrusive... Told us about the 52 year history and the family that started and currently runs the store. She has been there for 24 years and that says a lot about a restaurant. They have a beautiful salad bar (there's that Pizza Hut vibe) although we didn't partake. Our pizza was thin and a little crispy around the edges without char. No flop. Plentiful cheese and toppings and just the right amount of savory sauce. I preferred it to NYC style pizza but just a little short of our favorites in Rochester, NY... So overall really good. We love trying new places when we travel and Pizza Parlor did not disappoint

The decor was nice and it had the feel of a cafe. All in all - good and I feel it should be a 3.5, but I cannot give half stars - so I'll go with a 3.
