Firehouse is fine. I was greeted well at this location. I don't really enjoy the combinations of sandwiches they have here. I ended up doing a build your own with turkey and cheddar. I wasn't told it had ranch or mayo on it, so that was an unwelcome surprise when my sandwich was slathered with it. Also, the upcharge for the combo was a little steep to just add chips and a drink, but they did have a really good selection of chips. Also, they have a Freestyle drink machine and surprisingly good brewed sweet tea. Today I went online and placed an order. Got my receipt. Emailed to me at 11:30 AM. It told me my order would be ready at 11:45 AM so at 11:55 I went up to check on the order that had not even been started yet And I was rudely told "it does take time ma'am" like I was a complete idiot and they felt the need to talk down to me, like I'm not aware it takes time to make a sandwich. I'm thinking to myself. Your app told me when it would be ready so at 11:55 AM I did go up and ask how much longer it would be and the gentleman behind the counter said he wouldn't talk to me because I was yelling. I said "excuse me, sir. I was not yelling. I simply asked a question of how much longer it would be before my order was ready" I will say I was a little confused as to what could possibly take 30 minutes to make the sandwiches. But okay. So I did finally say to the manager that at this point, I think I would just soon get a refund and she actually yells at me then. "let me know now" I've never been in a firehouse sub and been treated this way. When my husband called up later and asked for a general manager or a one 800 number to file a complaint, the lady I dealt with at the store. Tells my husband that she is the general manager and if we don't like their food to just not eat there anymore and never come back and then she hung up on my husband. Now I don't know who the owner is of this store but clearly he has a major problem with the zero street store in Fort Smith that should be addressed immediately before they lose a lot more money. Fort Smith is one of the worst food cities in America. The caliber of even fast-food chains here is very poor. That's why there's value in this Firehouse. This place other than maybe Chick-fil-A down the street is actually one of the better meals in the area, if you can imagine that. For those of you that have been around the sandwiches here are chain food but there's nothing wrong with it. Fortunately, Firehouse is one of the better sandwich chains around. It's a step above places like Jimmy John's and Subway and about at par with Jersey Mike's which unfortunately this town doesn't have yet. I'm sure it's next on the list to come period What we liked about our experience here was that the workers wanted to take your order quick and get you through the line and weren't lazy. Therefore, if it's a sandwich you're looking for and you're looking for value you'll have a warm seat here. Personally, I'd prefer them not to steam the sandwiches but many do like this process. The food is amazing as always and the restaurant was clean, the only reason why I'm giving 3/5 is the service. We came in and no one greeted us, no "Welcome to Firehouse!" Or even a hello, two of the three workers seemed annoyed that we even walked in. There was one young woman who was very nice and helpful with me getting my points and order taken care of. She was constantly doing some kind of duty, cleaning, stocking, etc. The other two, any interaction I or my family had, felt rude, awkward, or stand offish. Maybe we came in after a bad rush? But it was disappointing to not be greeted by the familiar and friendly greeting you get at every single other location no matter what's going on. I'm from Illinois and had much higher standards of firehouse. I walk into the store, took some one 7 minutes to take my order. Very quiet and not friendly at all. After 22 minutes of waiting for my sandwich I went up there and asked to change my order to go instead of dine in. They said okay sure your order is next. I said next as in you haven't even made it?! Yes they hadn't started my order after two minutes. Please note when I walked in, there was one other person and they already had their food. Also I only ordered ONE sandwich. I asked for my money back and said I was leaving and they said no. Okay so not only did it take over 37 minutes to get one sub, they were rude and wouldn't refund me. The three workers there were so unprofessional just talking to each other about their personal lives and singing and doing just about everything besides working. Not one of them had a mask on while handling food, one of them coughed over the deli and didn't cover her mouth. Who ever owns this establishment should be ashamed of the workers you hired. It was a disgrace and I will never go back. Not only that I paid $12 for one sandwich that was soggy and made incorrectly. Last time I'll ever go. read more

I walked into the restaurant and noticed people sitting around without food first reason why I should have turned around and left but I was meeting a friend for lunch walked up to the counter to order and the girl at the register was on the phone taking a call in order I stood there for at least 10 minutes I looked over at one of the ladies working the sandwich counter and said why is she taking call in orders and nobody is helping your guest that are in the restaurant wanting to order? She said that's how we do it.. the girl finally gets off the phone and tells me without first greeting me it will be a 20 minute wait and stared back at me with a WTF look on her face! I provide my order and I've been here now for 25 minutes so far I don't have my food... management needs to be aware of the people working at their restaurant this is just a pathetic read more

Great service, loaded subs and clean restaurant. As far as sandwich shops go it's the top I have personally experienced around Fort Smith. Love this firehouse, but the manager was rude to both a customer and one of her employees. As a manager myself I couldn't believe how she treated them. I'm not sure I'll be visiting this site again. I will say the biggest annoyance was when the lady at the register asked her for help, she told her she was doing something and she needed to figure it out herself, in a snappy attitude. If you can't multi task than you shouldn't be in the position to lead and teach. You're there to run a store and teach your team to excel. I came here because I had seen wonderful commercials on TV. I ordered 1 New York Steamer and requested half without pastrami as wife does not eat pork. I observed the cashier confirm with the supervising cook that no pastrami was to be added to half of the steamer. When the food came out, there was pastrami in both halves. When we gently reminded the lady who brought out the subs about the mistake, she denied knowing anything about it. She looked angry and took both halves back where we heard her arguing with the cashier & the supervising cook about the correct order. She finally stopped arguing and came back with the two half subs 10 minutes later. No one apologized to us. By that time, my wife and I had already lost our appetites. The meats in both our subs looked the same. We did not know if that was pastrami, beef or both. We ate the potato chips that came with the subs and left.
