    My "sandwich." lol
    Alicia M.

I called ahead and asked if they could do iceberg lettuce as the bun. They said yes. This is what they gave me. I called to ask about it after receiving this. I said I was given a salad instead of a sandwich. She said they used shredded lettuce as the bun and that they only offer shredded iceberg lettuce. Would common sense tell you that shredded lettuce is not a bun? Why would she have not mentioned this when I called? Maybe she didn't understand the question, but I worded it quite clearly. They put the lettuce on top and underneath the meat. I guess Schlotzky's truly thinks this constitutes a sandwich. After politely attempting to explain how it's not a sandwich, I finally gave up. She basically said "we gave you what you asked for. You wanted lettuce." I'm sure it will still taste fine. I'm just a little concerned for the mental well-being of my local Schlotzky's employees. I guess I'll grab a fork now so I can eat my "sandwich." Lol I'm giving three stars instead of one because this seems to be more of an actual learning issue than employees who don't care...so I guess I feel more sympathy than annoyance. And my "sandwich salad" did still taste great! Lol

Amazing sandwiches and pizza! This Was my husband's first time and he fell in love and said these were the best sandwiches he's ever had, and my son loved the pizza.

If anyone loves "center of the roll" don't go here for it. This is now the third time I have ordered this from this location and each time I have been provided a cup full of dry torn apart roll pieces.... THIS IS NOT HOW ITS MADE. This location clearly doesn't know what this actually is supposed to be. Go to the 183/Westpark Way location. They make theirs to perfection EVERY TIME!

    Pick 2 combo..goumet pizza and salad..yumm

This place is hands down awesome. I cant speak for other locations because this is the only one I've ever been to. I come here at least once a week for lunch, and every time its top notch service, top notch food, and top notch cleanliness. Seriously this place is immaculate!!! Even during their busy times..not a single crumb on the floor or napkin out of place, that in and of itself is impressive. Now on to the employees, usually regular faces working when I go, they are all super nice and accomadating. I always have questions about ingredients and ask for substitutions when needed, and they honor my requests happily. They are super friendly all the time. On to the food itself, I have tried many things here...i always go back to the salad though. Its healthy and refreshing and they LOAD it with ingredients, no skimpiness here. The gourmet pizzas are delish!! The sandwiches are amazing, I think its that sourdough bread that takes it over the top. Cookies=yummy!! The soups, oh the soups....yes they hit the spot, I typically only order them when im not feeling too well. This location offers the cinnabons...yes cinnabons, i said it. I ONLY indulge in these when im craving a high calorie, sugary, sticky, doughy, delicious treat...which isnt too often. (I have to be semi-concious of my waistline) lol. Anyway, I love me some Schlotzskys..mmm mmmm mmmm!! Go try if you havent already!!!

Great bread. This is the skimpiest sandwich I've ever seen. I ordered the turkey bacon club. The turkey and bacon were missing in action.

Normally, I don't consider people from St. Louis to be credible deli evaluators, but I was desperate and made the hour drive to Grapevine. We got there at 11:15 and the line was nearly to the door. Within 30 minutes, it was well out into the street. That was a promising sign. The sandwich menu covered the entire wall over the counter. Lots of non-New-York sandwiches like Cubans, gyros, etc, but over in the left corner were the classic Ruebens and pastramis. I went for the latter. A REAL NY deli usually has a few soups like split pea and chicken noodle and matzoh. No soups. Bummer. They had a half dozen sides - 3 kinds of potato salads and a few slaws. I went with the German potato salad. The drink option was spartan - they tossed a styrofoam cup at me and pointed to the soda fountain. The pastrami sandwich was OK for Texas. A SUPER pastrami sandwich on hard rye can get me moaning like Meg Ryan in "When Harry Met Sally" -- only I don't have to fake it. The German potato salad was watery and bland - I should have gone with the mustard potato salad. Turnaround was on the slow side. Napkins = paper towel roll on table. Flimsy plasticware. The overall vibe was affordable utilitarian. I'll give the sandwich a 4, everything else a 3. Next time I'll drive the extra half hour to Cindi's.

I made a mobile order and swung by on my way to the airport. When I walked in, it wasn't in their mobile order stand and there was no one at the counter. I waited a short time for someone to come from the back, and my sandwich was ready, but sitting packed up, behind the counter. Why have a mobile order pickup area of you don't use it? I ordered the turkey bacon avocado. It is a bit cheaper from the other chain sub shop in Grapevine, and I was interested to see how they matched up. First off, they added my pickles. I like pickles and it can slip past people's attention, as it is not a standard topping. The bread was soft and the sandwich was a good size. The bacon was nice and crispy, but I found the filling a little skimpy. The turkey was completely lost. The strongest flavors were provelone and bacon, but it is essentially a turkey sandwich. There just wasn't much of it. Nor the veg. Lettuce and tomato were just barely present. It wasn't bad, it just wasn't GOOD. Long gone are the days of $5 foot longs, but I do expect more for an $11 seven and a half inch...

My husband's coffee, the saddle, nice, mild, not too strong, not too sweet, proper iced latte. On the other hand i ordered a cappuccino, basic, easy, shot of espresso and shot of steamed milk. I ordered it wil almond milk which results in less foam, from experience i know is more a latte than a cappuccino but thats to be expected. I got drip coffee with splash of milk in it. I asked my husband to check to make sure i am not out of line. He agreed with me. It was 12oz coffee with a splash of milk. None of that would be an issue but when i asked the barista/employee to remake it I was met with so much unnecessary attitude, that it repelled me to ever come back. I was told "I told you it has less foam with almond milk, that is literally not a drip coffee, it's from the espresso machine". I was stunned, not by the words but by the tone. I just walked away, not worth the time and effort to explain (from the photo you can see the color of my "cappuccino"). Overall: good food, great bread, coffee 50/50. Probably wouldn't go out of my way to go back. P.S. My ratings are based on whether I believe I could make a better or healthier version at home. If food/drinks/ service impress me, I'll be happy to come back. If not the stars reflect that.
