If I could give a negative -1 review I would. The wife and I went to pollo today at the hurst location in pipeline near Melbourne street. The person at the front was very rude and was already frustrated when we walked up. She don't speak English well enough to understand us. I don't know her name but she is a Hispanic lady with a bad front tooth. We tried to order items on the menu and she kept trying to give us a combo meal. We usually get the double tostadas and add shrimp, no this was not a thing pollo loco could do according to her. We tried to get street corn and shrimp added to the top as usually done for us for a charge of course and she was not going to allow that to happen. Sep 27, 2025 Arrived 15 minutes after the scheduled pickup time and the order hadn't even been started. I waited patiently another 7-8 minutes before it was finally ready. I mentioned to the cashier that we were headed to a picnic and asked for extra napkins. The bag was sealed, so I couldn't check the contents. When we got to our destination and opened it, there were no utensils, no sauces, and no napkins. The beans were bland with no salt or pepper packets to help. The mashed potatoes were dry and the gravy helped a bit, but not enough. After spending over $40, I expected a smoother experience. They had an extra 20 minutes to get it right, yet still missed basic essentials that made the meal disappointing. I just recently started going here three times a week for the last three months and I love that they grill the chicken in front of you and you can see everything that goes on. Plus, they always have good deals on their app, so please download their app. They have a five dollar chicken bowl that my son and I eat a lot because we're on diets and we worked out and during the work out it gives us our protein that we need and our carbs. I can't speak for all locations, but the one in Bedford is great!! The food is always fresh, cheap and consistent. You can even eat on a super budget if needed. Tried this place recently and it was not a good experience. Ordered online and I waited 45 minutes to get my food. Four other people that arrived after me, received their food before me. Workers acted annoyed when I asked what the hold up was. I waited 30 minutes before saying anything as I work in the food industry too and know how hard it can be sometimes. Regardless, even if you dislike a job you should be respectful to the people you're serving as long as they aren't disrespectful to you. I was treated poorly for just asking a simple question.
