    Salad bar

The views, the views, the views....and the food and service were excellent. We all had something different and enjoyed each dish. Curried chicken breast with rice, sausage wheel with rösti and gravy, a meat and cheese board, and the soup and salad bar. If you are used to a soup and salad bar where you can go back for more, this is not that place. So enjoy your first round or pay for another! Request a window seat when you reserve a table, you won't regret it!

If you want your frozen burger with side of construction... Wildly expensive, crowded cable cars, half thrill walk was closed, INSANE construction, bad food and service, smelly bathrooms, etc etc. Views are beautiful from the second viewing platform. If you're their for views and don't want to spend for Jungfrau may be worth that. Wasn't expecting much for the restaurant but it was a huge disappointment. Gross dirty windows, worse then diner-food esp the signature burger, incredible undrinkable martini - all triple sec / juice?? (why isn't a martini on the menu it's literally James Bond) bad service, and construction SO distracting - jackhammering, messy outside, view obscuring. Should let you know when there's that much work being done on an $80+ attraction. Save your money and visit another mountain.

It was an amazing experience being here!! The place going up was beautiful and quite scenic. The quaint little town at the bottom was straight out of a fairytale! It was April when I went up here and totally wasn't ready for the show! It was sooo cold! I was extremely happy, it was quite a surprise for me! Went into Piz Gloria and made the mistake of leaving my bag on the ground... I saw it moving, then I realize we were moving! It was such an experience seeing the beautiful views side to side! We didn't order anything, as we were coming from Grindelwald and just ate. Though, the coffee was quite pricy but I understand; it was all of the hype and theme of James Bond. We explored inside Piz Gloria and clips from the movie was shown inside. It was all James Bond themed! Got to see parts of the movie where the Piz Gloria blew up and etc. It was such a tourist attraction! What a day! Enjoyed it! Bond Out!

An interesting, although quite touristy experience. Perhaps most famous for being featured in a James Bond (1969 "On her Majesty's secret service"), it is nonetheless a nice observation plateform and a decent restaurant in the high Alps, accessible only by a cableway (or a helicopter, if you are a VIP, a villan or a valliant secret service agent). Most of thematic here (especially the toilets) are themed around James Bond, so that can be a bit overwhelming if that's not your jam. But in addition to it this place has a very decent restaurant with a rotating platform, some great views, and an access to a skiing resort through a black piste. We visited it with my wife's mom when she was visiting US in Switzerland and have all enjoyed it quite a lot - from the long approach on the cable cars, to the restaurant and views themselves. The restaurant has a number of platters with cheese and meat (Zveri), as well as a more in-depth wine and meal card, that are totally worth an exploration. Overall, it's a nice spot overall and a great James Bond-specific tourism destination.

My experience here was too surreal. Jaw dropping every corner I turn. I truly didn't wanna leave... ate at Piz Gloria for the 360 view and it was amazing. James Bond being filmed here was just an extra fun perk. So many great things I can say about this place! I suggest going all the way to the top first and work your way down each tram to avoid peak crowdy hours. The sky walk and thrill walk in Birg/Mürren is soooo fun. A lot of great views you can't miss.

Your typical tourist destination, Schilthorn offers stunning views with overpriced food. At the restaurant, my group and I ordered a meat and cheese platter while overlooking the Swiss Alps view. While the food was prepared well, we could've gotten the same thing for well less than half the price at a local grocery store. Aside from the steep price of the food and the short attention span of our waiter (who we had to flag down multiple times for water and other requests), the experience was one of a kind. Your table rotates while overlooking the Swiss Alps, which is an experience that you can only have here. Beyond the restaurant, there is a Thrill Walk one gondola ride down that offers an unparalleled raw experience on the side of the mountain. There also is a Bond Museum and Exhibit, which offers a comprehensive experience of Bond film and book history.

Really fun place to go! Greatly enjoyed our time here. My suggestion is go for the buffet! I get the attraction and it's nice but the burgers weren't nearly as good as they look. I had two soups of the buffet and they were much better!

I visited Schilthorn/Piz Gloria with my Jungfrau ski pass. Since I stayed in Grindelwald its quite a long but beautiful journey to Schilthorn. The Journey to Schilthorn: First the gondolas to Männlichen, then the large gondola down to Wengen, then the train to Lauterbrunnen (which offers a scenic view), then the gondola to Grütschalp, then the train to Mürren where you had a 10min walk through the cosy small and classic old fashioned swiss village to the gondola to Birg. On Birg you already have an amazing scenic view, don't miss out the cliff walk. You could also drink a coffee on the outside terrace. The gondola to Schilthorn is in the same station and only takes 5min to get up to the mountain. I arrived at about 11:30 there (I started about 9:00) The transport is well organized and coordinated, like when you get off the gondola at Grütschalp the train is already waiting for you. There were no waiting lines to get up Schilthorn: On Schilthorn you can have lunch at the revolving restaurant floor which makes a tour in 90min. Or have a drink at the bar. The prices are a bit high but I of course had to drink a Vodka Martini when being at such a place. They even have a small James Bond museum about the movie "On her majesty's secret service (1969)" that was filmed there. Schilthorn was Blofeld's secret hidout. Every scene that was filmed on Schilthorn is explained in detail you can interact with some stuff and get insights from behind the scenes. There is also a souvenir shop with some cool stuff. Also go outside and take a walk on the terrace or to the lookaround point. In my opinion a much more beautiful view then from Jungfraujoch. At the end when you want to leave you can either take the gondola or if you got skis take the famous black run down (where in the movie James escapes and gets chased by the bad guys) Overall an amazing experience, I totally recommend it. Its very clean and well made. Despite the long way if you come from Grindelwald there is much to see on the way, its better to plan it for a whole day experience and check the weather. The scenic views are stunning. I didn't try the food at the restaurant, so couldn't say anything

Way up in the clouds in the Swiss Alps Shilthorn is situated as an observation area for the surrounding Swiss alps. The site is 10,000 feet up or if you prefer 3765 meters high. Often the mountains are engulfed in clouds hidden from view. If you wait long enough some of the clouds drift away exposing nature at its most spectacular and magnificent. On occasion the clouds burn off exposing all the mountains glory. The site was used for a James Bond movie and contains a museum of sorts dedicated to Agent 007. There are pictures, movie clips and a few static exhibits to enjoy. There is also a restaurant serving breakfast and lunch items at, as you might have guessed, sky high prices. Also included is a souvenir shop with many things to choose from. Bring sunglasses.

    Eileen C.

Not as cool as I expected. Just a simple restaurant with a bar, buffet, and James Bond 007 imprinted on menu items. The place is unique in that it was where the James Bond (1969 - On Her Majesty's Secret Service) movie was filmed. Menu items (20-50 CHF) are surprisingly more expensive than a brunch buffet per person (33 CHF). Brunch buffet is daily until 14:00. Not a whole lot of variety but enough to choose from and fill you. Nonetheless, very clean and spacious with 360 rotations and incredible views of Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau.

    Ann D.

The cable car might be expensive but the views are worth it!! The Schilthorn restaurant was the first revolving restaurant built in the world and was used in the James Bond film On Her Majesty's Secret Service which is why there is a bond museum a few falls below. The film company actually helped finance finishing the restaurant and cable cars which give us the best views of the region today! From outside the restaurant, you can see the Eiger, Jungfrau and Monch mountains. It's spectacular! The cloud can clear or come quite quickly so prepare to be cold and bring layers and waterproof clothing. If you are a keen hiker there are routes down as long as you have good shoes on - there are signs saying no high heels!! We went into the restaurant for a drink - hot chocolate - but their menu was pretty good so we decided to have lunch here too. The wine I had wasn't the best but drinkable - I have added photos of the menus. We had the trio of game with red cabbage and homemade spatzli and it was as good as I hoped. It's a bit pricier than Lauterbrunnen town but this is Switzerland and a themed, first revolving restaurant so I did not mind paying 8 euros more for the view. There is also a buffet option. It's a good place to warm up before the hike or cable car ride back down. Menus available in at least German, English, Chinese and probably Japanese as well.

Taking the gondola to the top!

After factoring in the cost of getting to the top of the mountain, along with the cost of the meal, this is probably the most expensive breakfast we have ever eaten. And it was worth every penny. How many times in your life do you get to start your morning with three gondola rides and a train ride high up into the Swiss Alps to lounge in the former lair of a James Bond villain while it slowly rotates to give you 360-views of some of the most beautiful mountains in the world? It's really quite an experience. Also, the food in the breakfast buffet is surprisingly good! My favorite part was the plain yogurt topped with lots of black cherry compote...SO GOOD! The breakfast buffet is AYCE and includes drinks and champagne, but what you are really paying for are those amazing views. And they are, totally, amazing. After filling up on a big healthy breakfast, I recommend you get back down the mountain on your own. The trail starts at the Schilthorn, but it is pretty tricky going for the first bit off the ridge, so if you are traveling with kids (like us), I recommend taking the gondola back down one station to Birg, and you can start your hike from there. Early morning gondola fares are a bit cheaper, and there is a special package deal for morning transportation to the Schilthorn including the breakfast buffet. Kids under six are totally free, both on the gondolas and for breakfast. Even with these cost-saving measures, though, you're going to spend a lot of money...just close your eyes, hand over your credit card, and know that it is worth it. Of our entire trip through Europe, "Eating at the spinning restaurant on top of the mountain" was our daughter's favorite experience.

Bond burger with BBQ sauce. This burger has Raclette cheese, so if you don't like that for some reason, be warned.
    Aleksandar P.

The Bond burger isn't bad, the self serve buffet is probably a better option for the price, but the novelty of the burger is cool. The rotating setting with accompanying views itself makes up entirely for any flaws in the food. The location simply can't be beat. The bond museum and artifacts throughout the building make this a special setting, even if you aren't a fan of the James Bond series.
