I asked the complex why they decided to charge me and was told that they saw my name on a box in the recycling bin and assumed that the rest of the junk was mine. Most likely, the complex just wanted someone to pay for the junk removal, so they placed the charge on my account and hoped I wouldn't ask any questions. Ultimately, I was not required to pay to remove someone else's junk. I certainly learned the importance of asking for a receipt before paying a fee!

Diane Myers said she would address it in the documents, but didn't even after being provided the correct legal wording. She did not provide the documents beforehand and seemed surprised that I was reading before signing. And we needed to transfer the HOA passwords to the buyer during their closing and these were left on the front desk public area where anyone could pick them up (I had to ask them to put them behind the desk but perhaps with the buyer's closing doc might have been more secure?). And lastly, the HOA transfer required the new buyer to sign 2 copies of a state form (they only had him sign 1). Realtors should choose other Title companies instead, as this was very straight forward and wasn't correct so I can imagine what happens with a complex close.

I'm sure that he'll follow up with a response trying to save face, but regardless of what he says I would say, very strongly, stay away from these people (if there's more than one). He/they are lying to you, and is lying in any response he gives.
