He cleaned my filter and tested my pool and went on with the rest of his busy schedule. The next day, I was given a reasonable estimate for ridding my black mold and for servicing my three pools. We hired James. It's been three months now and we are impressed and over satisfied with how James delivered. James spent a week working tirelessly to rid the black mold without having to drain our pool. We had a relapse after a few weeks and James went back at no additional cost and got it back under control. As far as our pool maintenance; each week we get an email from James with the results of the water testing, what chemicals he put in the pools to keep them at the right level, and a picture of our sparkling pools. The bad news is that getting here was an absolute nightmare! Despite the fact that Taylor Made Pools failed to complete this contract, the owner recorded a lien against my property (demanding payment for the full contract balance, plus interest and his attorney's fees), the owner refused to remove the lien (even after it expired), and the owner has been gaslighting me since the contract dispute began. It took nearly a year to get through the entire process with the CSLB and for the investigator to refer the case to CSLB-sponsored arbitration. On 01/28/2025, we both presented our case and on 01/31/2025, I was awarded financial damages and Taylor Made Pools was ordered to remove the Mechanic's Lien. After completing the necessary repairs, I had to call for the pre-plaster inspection, hire a contractor to install the mini pebble, a contractor to program all of my equipment perform the 'startup' procedure, and another contractor to install the artificial turf. I also had to purchase the suction cleaner that was included in the contract, but not provided. Needless to say, this project was NOT completed for the agreed upon contract price.
