Sal and gang turned our family pool into an oasis.
    Kevin M.

We had Sal resurface and retile our in ground swimming pool. Throughout the entire process, Sal was friendly and honest. The project was within our budget and there was no hidden costs! His team are extremely hard workers who enjoy their job. The entire project was completed within the promised time frame. Sal kept us informed with each part of the remodel and made sure that my wife and I were happy. I would 100% recommend Sal to my family and friends, or anyone needing to remodel their swimming pool or spa.

I hate to leave someone a negative review But dealing with Sal was a true nightmare from the beginning to the end. Our pool Replastering took an extra month to finish from the original target date; his excuse being that he gave us a low bid. And because we were not willing to pay him more money than our signed contract he ended up giving priority to his other jobs, therefore causing our pool replastering to take a lot longer than it should have. He had unlicensed people do the electrical and plumbing work which lead to it not being done correctly nor up to code. He was supposed to pull a permit which he never did. He even failed to install a GFI outlet which is a must. When confronted about cutting corners about the GFI, he responded with "I over delivered for your project" and stated that a GFI would be an extra $800 to install, but could come back and do it. I don't think anyone who is capable of cutting corners in a job can ever over deliver on any project. He never came back to install the GFI outlet, which is mandatory for pool jobs. Worst of all, he left us with a large pile of broken concrete, plaster, trash left behind by his people and construction debris by the pool. He doesn't care about anything except money, has zero work ethic not to mention his nasty threatening messages to my family members for leaving him a negative review. He is a retaliatory person and will try to bully you with the connections he says he has in local government to make your life miserable just because you leave an honest review about the way he conducts business.

What do you say about a man that helps you build one of your dreams? I can say he is an Angel on earth. He's honorable, professional, kind, a hard worker, dependable if he gives you a deadline he will work through the night alongside his workers to get things done. He's honest. His quote stands and if you add on because you decided not to hire a designer or use that design application. He will try his best to get you the best price. Believe me you will add on for example an additional walkway to the pool. He answers every text and or phone call within the hour even on Sunday his family day. He truly knows how to navigate when you as a couple want different things and you definitely will want something different than your spouse. I was reminded a few times as well as my spouse are you two on the same page. Every decision he waits for approval to ensure you are satisfied. Bottomline he doesn't like disappointing his customers ( the pandemic caused a couple of delays in shipping). Our filtration system was stuck in another city 4 hours away. I was told by one of his workers he packed his family in the truck and went to go get it. I had no idea. That's what I'm talking about old school workmanship. I highly recommend him and I'm truly going to miss his presence around our home. He feels like family. The good side of the family. We were guessing on who to choose because it costs. Yet it is weird how so many neighbors have a pool but do not tell you their guy who built it. We were excited and afraid to choose the wrong person. He's the right man for the job. I jokingly told him he's a healer. This pool is saving our lives. He's building a place for us to be spiritually ok plus become healthier and have fun at the same time. Plus it's going to save our marriage. Lmao. Pandemic living both being at home all day is for 20 something honeymooners. Pick Sal. 20 years in the business he knows what he doing.

Sal and the rest of the crew at SBL Pools didn't disappoint! We now have a resort for a backyard, all thanks for them! Sal (the owner) always responded to our questions right away, was very reasonable with his pricing and delivered every stage when he said he would. We started our pool in late March and we were swimming by late June. Sal was hands on every step of the way and his passion for building pools really shows. We also did hardscaping to extra areas to the front and sides of our house and Sal worked with us to really make our dreams become reality. We now have camper parking on the side of our house and a gorgeous pool! Thank you SBL Pools!

At first I was skeptical because I've had gotten so many quotes before, and all of them wanted to charge an arm and a leg for the work I wanted done, but Salvador gave us a reasonable price that we couldn't let it pass. We went from a fiberglass pool to a concrete pool that accommodates all the needs of my family and I. Salvador was really communicative and explained every step of the way, which gave me peace of mind. We are completely satisfied with the work and can't wait for those hot summer days to enjoy our backyard and new pool with the kiddos. Thank you, SBL Pools team, we appreciate you.

The plaster, tiling was perfect! They did such a great job. :)

I have been putting off writing this review for the past month due to the summer weather being so amazing AND the fact that we can't stop using our gorgeous, new, perfect in-ground jacuzzi/spa that SBL Pools built for us. But the time has come to share the stupendous photos and brag about how much we love Sal and his entire team at SBL Pools! We originally got several quotes from various companies in the LA area and although some of them were on the higher end, we didn't feel like it justified the total lack of care and concern these other companies exhibited during the "bidding quotes" and "free estimate" process. Honestly, we were just about ready to give up on the idea since we couldn't find a company that seemed to understand exactly what we want AND who was mindful of the budget we wanted to stay within to get this done. But then, we met up with Sal, who texted back and forth with me first to figure out exactly what I was wanting. We were very specific. We already had a pool on-site at our home, but wanted to add a large jacuzzi/spa off the master suite of our home, and wanted it to be large enough for 8 adults comfortably. After talking with Sal and having him stop by our place to take measurements, we decided on a 7.5 ft. x 7.5 ft spa for the plaster lining/wall frame and almost 9.5 ft. x 9.5 ft. from concrete edge to edge on the outside. We showed Sal some pics of what we wanted it to look like and he understood immediately and gave us a fantastic quote that wasn't the cheapest, but was far more cost-effective than many of the other companies we had heard from prior to him. Immediately, we also had a good feeling with him as he agreed to include all the necessary spa pump/heater/equipment with the bid price he quoted us, which was fabulous. So, we settled on a start date and his guys got to work as soon as all the plans had been cleared. However once we began, we decided that we may want to create a larger concrete sitting space near the spa, so we asked Sal and one of his crewmen Fredix (who is awesome, and has such a great, hardworking attitude and work ethic) if this was doable and they were like, "Absolutely! That's a great idea." Most pool contractors would've griped and complain if their clients changed the scope of the project in the middle of it, but not Sal. He was patient, understandable and always, professional. He also stopped by the project site nearly every other day to check on the progress and to make sure everything was up to his standards of quality craftsmanship. Which was just wonderful for him to do since we also expected everything to be as perfect as we had imagined it to be. And boy, did Sal and his team deliver! At every step (from the digging, to the framing, to the gas line hook-ups, to the concrete being poured, to the plastering, curing process), every one of his guys was polite, respectful and diligent. They seemed to always wear a smile and were always finishing on-time, without compromising on quality or aesthetics. As you can see from the photos below, the addition of the spa COMPLETELY TRANSFORMED our backyard space, and allows us to have large family gatherings now with no problem. Before the spa addition, we barely could fit a dining room table in the backyard by the pool. But now? We have enough room for several couch pieces, chairs, coffee tables, a large rug and even a fire pit and a few umbrellas. It feels like an oasis now, and every time we go out to the backyard now, I feel like I'm on vacation. That's all thanks to Sal, Fredix and every one of the guys who came and made our spa dream, an absolute reality! We couldn't be happier with the end result and couldn't recommend them higher! If you want a quality crew who will get the job done fast and for the right price, definitely go with Sal and his crew at SBL Pools. You won't regret it, I assure you! Thanks again, Sal! Your crew is seriously the best of the best and we couldn't be happier!

The previous owners of our house left our pools walkways in very poor shape. The surrounding rocks were peeling and uneven, forcing us to have a dangerous walkway. We had a couple vendors take a look, but none provided a quote because they simply could not do what we wanted. Sal came by and provided a quote, timeline, and clear communication on progress. He finished the job on time and we couldn't be happier with the final result. We are no longer embarrassed to have friends over for a swim.

Im taking the time to write this review because it was very difficult for me to find a fair pool…read moreservice company, as a single woman I experienced service providers where giving me pricing that exaggerated. This company is the best, I'm extremely happy with my pool service company. Their service is excellent, they're always respectful, and they show up on time every single week. Their pricing is the best I've found--especially impressive because I have a saltwater pool, which is usually more expensive to maintain. They keep everything running smoothly and looking great. Not to mention very informative I received photos of my pool when it's serviced and notifications when they will be cleaning the filters and the salt cell. Highly recommend!

I am absolutely pleased with the service John Lee from the Lazy Pool provided me. I needed him to…read moreevaluate a commercial pool that I was planning to lease. First off, he answered the call himself, no third party answering service like the other guys I called that never called back. On the phone call alone he was able to provide me a wealth of information as to what I need to look out for and assess. He then agreed to drive 10 miles out to me to inspect the pool at NO charge to me, AND on Memorial day no less! At the meeting he demonstrated his knowledge on the details of chemistry, temperature, monthly cost to operate, and also helped me identify signs of water leakage and damage to the pool equipment and pipes that were invisible to the naked eye, thereby saving me thousands of dollars had I gone forward with the lease. I learned that The Lazy Pool is a small family business that started only 5 years ago during the pandemic. But has since grown super fast with a solid portfolio of private and commercial clients. I am not surprised with their success, since they are transparent and fair with their fees, and as John demonstrated, they are willing to give before they get, such a rare finding in business these days. I would trust John and the Lazy Pool team with any of my pool service needs and would recommend them to anyone looking for a highly skilled, honest, and professional pool service provider. Thank you again John, you are the man!
