I popped by to see if they had a harness for my 100 lb GSD. They didn't carry them but gave me some great advice on quality brands and proper fit. I will definitely be back for treats. They also had nice self dog wash stations that I am looking forward to trying. read more

I love Sbarkles for their self-service dog wash. My dog is a bit big to bathe at home, so I love taking her here. The bathtubs are clean and they provide all the supplies needed (though I always bring my own). The dryers only have one setting though, and my dog doesn't particularly like them so we usually leave a bit damp. read more

I have 2 English Cream Goldens and take them both here to bathe them! The staff is always super friendly and willing to grab extra towels, brushes or anything else you might need during the process. The place is always clean and organized when we come in. We will be back again soon! read more

So friendly and helpful! Prices are competitive too so I would rather spend my money at a small business than a big store!

The best in class! This locally owned business is one of the best places you can spend your money for your pet. The owners and employees are totally dedicated to customer service. High quality food and treats for your dog. The do it yourself dog washing area is clean and well organized, and has everything you would ever need to wash the pup. The owners are very helpful, and are full of nutritional information about products. They really helped me out with a nutritional/coat problem that our German Shepherd had. We switched food, and the problem has never come back. I have been coming to this business since they were at their previous location. I am a raving fan of this business. read more

I love this place! I have two dogs and they both hate baths. The set up at sBarkles helps all of us get them bathed quickly and easily. Less stress for all of us! The products are all high quality and the value is awesome. We got the multi-wash pack and even though we live about 15 miles away, we keep going back. We have been to other places that feel very sterile, cold and industrial, but sBarkles is a warm and friendly environment. The staff is helpful and really nice too. My pups give them two paws up! read more

Love Sbarkles, it's the best place for dog/cat care. Have been in multiple times to wash my dog (approx. 70 lbs., golden retriever-lab mix) and the facilities are great. Your dog will get much cleaner than a bath at home, and you won't have to clean your bathtub afterwards. We've also gone in multiple times for both dog and cat food. The owners are very knowledgeable about pet diet and have made great recommendations for dry and wet food. They also always have a booth at the Bark and Splash, where they have given me multiple free food samples. And they always have a treat for our dog when we go into the store. read more

Best $15 I ever spend. Everyone is so nice and helpful. Set up is so convenient to wash & dry dog. Love that they always bring me white brightener and have all the brushes, combs and towels to use. read more

SBarkles is my favorite place to shop for our dogs! Their prices not only compete with the large box stores, their customer service is Outstanding!!! John and Bob always have a smile on their face and a treat for your dog and they hire only the friendliest most helpful staff. I always look forward to going to their store to shop or wash my dogs; something about being there just makes you feel good! Kimala B. read more

I've been washing my dog here for two years. It is always so easy. They have four standard shampoos. If you need flea shampoo just ask. The conditioner has been great for my furry husky mix. Unlike other self wash places my dog never has to be shocked by icy water - at Sbarkles it is always warm. And the blow dryers work! The staff is friendly and helpful. My 11 year old dog is a picky eater especially in her old age. The young woman working there the last time I came in helped me find food my dog will eat! Woo Hoo. I can't tell you how happy that made me - and my dog. read more

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this place!! Bob and John, and everyone else who works there, treat us so kindly and are so knowledgeable. We have two dogs, both large, and it is so convenient to be able to bathe them without bending over a bathtub! I love the powerful dryers, too--people hair dryers don't even compare--and I love that I can leave the mess behind! We come in regularly for dog food, cat food, treats, and chew toys, and we have also bought harnesses, food bowls, beds, toys, and other specialty items there. I trust the advice that I get from Bob and John, and they seem to truly enjoy the store and their customers. All businesses should be run like this one, where customers feel special and appreciated. My dogs love to visit--sometimes we stop in just to say hi! :) read more

I am a new dog owner and discovered this place today. It was great! Friendly owners, all necessary items are provided within one cost, and the price was very reasonable. Believe me, your back will thank you. I highly recommend this business. read more

love my sbarkles! they have known my german shepherd since she was a puppy and they always spoil her with love and of course the best food! They have come through for my dog and I on countless occasions, THEY ARE JUST THE BEST!! read more

Bob and John are the best. Very knowledgeable and they will go out of their way to help you with anything you need. I ordered some specialty food a while back and they kept me very informed on how the order was coming along. By far my favorite store anywhere in the area. read more

John, the owner was very knowledgeable and helpful in explaining the different options of food for my new puppy. He gave us different samples for us to try in addition to what we chose to purchase. Excellent customer service. read more

sBarkles is the BEST!!!! The owners - Bob and John couldn't be better proprietors! Their easy going, helpful and fun-loving nature always makes it a pleasure to come and shop or give my wonderful beast (I mean that in an endearing way), Koa his bath. Everyone at sBarkles is very helpful and they know their stuff. Aside from giving your pooch a bath they've got a GREAT selection of the best food for your dog. When it comes to accessories they have a nice range of product, if they don't have it, ASK Bob or John and they will even order stuff for you if they can. And don't think because they are a boutique store that they are pricey - NOT the case. They are competitive and even if they charge more I'd still shop there!!!! My dog Koa LOVES visiting sBarkles and how do I know???? Whenever he goes into the "big" pet store where we board him (as well as the other boarding facility)... the first thing he does is poop on their entry mat and given the opportunity he'll pee on a display stand.... At sBarkles, however, he's always looking for Bob and John... No ill behavior because we LOVE sBarkles!!!! read more

This is an wonderful place if you care about your pets. They have super friendly staff, amazing pet selection, and great service. Highly recommend! read more

We will not be stepping into this store again. Managements customer service was not ideal for a small business. My husband and I walked in to take a look around. We recently changed our dogs diet but have only been able to find small 6 or 8 pound bags locally, in large retail stores. We picked out some bully sticks and other treats. We found that they carried a larger size of the dog food and was planning on purchasing it when he got close to running out of his smaller bag. Since they didn't have prices below the food, I found a price sheet that showed the size/cost of it and was going to take a picture so I remembered the size/cost. As I was taking a picture, one of the owners (a middle aged man that was behind the register when we walked in) walked up and flipped the list over and said "I'd rather you not take pictures!", at first I laughed it off and explained it was for I don't have the best memory, but got no response, he just stood there. My husband explained that we were taking the picture for our own use, to know that there was a bigger size available, what size it was, and how much it was. He rudely said "Well you can do that kind of stuff online!" and walked away. (BTW, they don't have prices available for their products online). For a small business to have this kind of service was really bad. He didn't walk up and say "Hey, is there something you can't find? Have you found this food cheaper somewhere else? Are you looking for a specific size?", there was absolutely no customer service. His attitude was horrible and unfriendly. If there was a way I could give this place a review with no stars, I would. I was really bummed that a rude employee ruined our chance to become new long term customers and purchase larger bags of food. read more

A wonderful local business to support! They carry the specialty dog food we use and a vast array of different and healthy treats for her to enjoy. Definitely suggest visiting this spot for your dog care needs. read more

Sbarkles goes above and beyond great customer service. They are just great people who really love and care about about happy customers. Also, they support the folsom animal rescue by donating pet food to them. I found this out through a friend of mine that works at the rescue. All the pet stores in folsom are good but Sbarkles is simply great. They have my 100% support. read more

We and our pup alike just LOVE it here! Have been coming here for years, whether it's to stock up on Wellness dog food, treats, or to hit the wash basin on an extra-dirty-dog day. The owners/staff are wonderful too! Bring your four-legged friend and check it out! :) read more

Such a great environment for pets and families!! Locally owned small business which offers everything for your animals! The staff are very knowledgeable and respectful every time I go in. My dog happens to love the place more than I do! I say to my dog "We are going to Sbarkles!" And his tail immediately wags and he jumps in circles knowing he's in for a great time! read more

I was totally blown away by the friendliness of this business. My dog hates water unless she is drinking it. This place has everything you could possibly need to have a good experience bathing your dog. I highly recommend it. read more

I buy my dog food (Origen) here because there's no other place in the area that carries it, and the prices at this store are cheaper than any online store that I have found. But the folks who run this shop are wonderful, they sell only quality pet food, they're very knowledgeable about the products and are friendly, helpful, and love dogs. read more

Wen there today to use the washing tubs and was really impressed with everything they provide, the girls were super helpful and friendly. I had my daughter there to help and it was not only dog friendly but kid friendly too. Also there isn't a time limit on using the tub (maybe there would be if there were people waiting but at least today there was absolutely no rush) which I appreciate because my dog is big and I want to be thorough. I will go here from now on, much easier then doing it at home, totally worth the money. read more

So glad I finally stopped in. Now I wont go anywhere else. The staff is absolutely the best. Friendly, knowledgeable, the whole shibang. And I know that the products I am purchasing for my pups are top notch. I can't rant about one positive experience because everytime I go in there it is great! read more

sBarkles rocks! They understand pets' food & their diet needs. They are there to answer questions. Helpful staff...assists with carrying heavy loads of food. Friendly too. They are awesome supporters of animal sanctuaries & shelters. Wish more businesses were this wonderful! read more

I love this place. I have two medium dogs who I can't bathe in my tub, so I take them to sBarkles. The owners and employees are helpful and friendly. The accommodations are perfect. They supply shampoo in different scents, towels and wash cloths. One dog I have to take every week for her medicated shampoo that I take with me. They also supply cotton balls for ears. I highly recommend sBarkles. read more

I would give this business 4 stars as it is reasonably priced and they provide everything you need to wash and dry your dog. However, the owners are unfortunately paying the price from this review due to the completely rude behavior of their employee who thought it was appropriate to take my picture while my dog was freaking out while I tried to dry her, for the first time, with a blow dryer. Fortunately, my daughter saw her lean around the counter to snap the shots. She thought she was recording me as she was holding her phone up for a prolonged period. When I asked her if she had taken pictures of me she said "yes because your dog is so cute," which is a bunch of crap. My dog, a puppy, was terrified. I'm sure it was really cute when I was bent over trying to keep her from hanging herself off the side of the drying area. I get that I'm in a quasi public place, but I should not have pictures taken of me and my dog in compromising and uncomfortable, and somewhat embarrassing positions surreptitiously. It is completely rude and unprofessional. I will be contacting the owners about it so they can talk with their employees about the importance of customer service and privacy. Maybe they won't. Who knows in this day and age. Their response will show their character as business owners. read more

Wow, totally flabbergasted (happily!!). I am very glad I persevered to find this place because it is SUPER WORTH IT! I only wish they had a sign down on Bidwell so they would be easier to locate. I went in initially to look for Evanger's, but quickly noticed the huge variety of items, as well as Stella & Chewy's, which I was going to need shortly. After an appropriate amount of time, a very nice young lady asked if she could help me. I asked if they carried the surf & turf flavor and she quickly located it for me. (And while it had been right in front of my face, she never ever made any mention of that!). I then asked about Evanger's and was told they no longer carried it. When I asked if they were aware of anything similar to their wings, thighs and beef hand pack, she quickly asked some gentleman in the back. He came out and we talked about the why's and what's of what I was looking for, and he offered up a suggestion, of which I purchased a few cans and will try over the weekend. Friendly, knowledgable, respectful, interested.....I'm not easy to impress, but they sure did. I am looking forward to coming back when I have more time to see what all they have :-) read more
