Believe me when I say Linda does a wonderful job and makes it as painless as possible!  I was very impressed with her knowledge and care from the get go.  She is professional, yet incredibly compassionate and very easy to talk to.  More importantly, she is ethical. Her studio is also cozy, neat and clean which helps me relax well! I love that I'm conveniently able to self schedule my appointments on the Gloss Genius app. Be sure to take an ibuprofen or two within an hour of your appointment.  I take two every time and it helps a lot even if I have sensitive skin.  The smooth end result is always really worth the hard work & pain! You also get a free touch up a week after your first visit & a complimentary pair of exfoliating gloves to take home. It's painful, but stick with it. Before you know it, you'll be braving your waxes more easily and looking forward to them! :)

I saw Bev the first time and was sad to hear she had moved on to another opportunity, but I went back and saw Elizabeth who was also excellent! I've gotten rashes from other places, but nothing like that here! Whatever formula they use is far less irritating. Both Bev and Elizabeth were quick, and kept the pain to a minimum (there's always pain in hair removal for any first-timers, but compared to other places they were quite gentle.) They both engaged in conversation which makes everything seem so much faster! The location is great, clean and nice facility. I highly recommend checking Amala Studio out!

Anyway, my eyebrows are kind wonky and uneven. What's worse is that I have Asian eyebrows so that means it's already nonexistent to begin with. She worked with what I got, and surprisingly she did an amazing job. She did a better job that my go to lady that waxed my eyebrows who happens to somehow take away more and more each visit. These ladies use a thread to shape our eyebrows. The end result looks more natural than waxing in my opinion. So if you're trying to grow out your eyebrows but don't want to wax (just in case you take of a little more than planned) go to Brow Arc and these ladies will listen and help you out.

EVEN Aloe Vera is burning really bad. She also dropped wax on my hair that I had to come home and take care of. I had a party tonight that I was getting my face waxed for which I couldn't go to. I'm so upset at the whole thing and the pain!! It's not my first time getting face wax, I'm not naive to waxes but damnnnn this is just too painful. Last year I stopped going here because I got my face cut when I got my face threaded couple of times, which is why I asked for wax because I didn't want to cut my face. But THIS IS WORSE.

I booked a lash appointment at the Edmonds location after seeing a 40% off promotion. I was excited…read morefor the opportunity and scheduled with Lindsey, who was very kind throughout the appointment. However, there was a miscommunication regarding the style I wanted. I had requested a cat eye set with the longest length (12 mm) at the outer corners and shorter lengths toward the middle and inner corners. Despite showing a reference photo, the final result was a uniform 11-12 mm length with a D curl throughout, creating a much more dramatic look than I had intended. I didn't feel comfortable expressing my concerns at the time, so I went to the Lynnwood location to see if anything could be done. I was warmly welcomed by Erica, who was understanding and willing to help. Since it was near closing time, I was told a manager would follow up with me regarding possible solutions--whether that be a partial refund or a no-cost correction (such as a partial removal and reapplication to adjust the lengths). Unfortunately, I never received a follow-up call, so I contacted the manager myself. When he returned my call, he informed me that both Lindsey and Erica felt the set matched the reference photo--something I respectfully disagreed with. He stated that refunds were not offered, but agreed to provide a complimentary partial removal and length adjustment. However, the conversation felt dismissive and unprofessional. The next day, I arrived for the appointment as scheduled, only to find that it had been booked for just 30 minutes--far too short for any meaningful correction. Erica was helpful again and suggested I do a full removal now and return for a full set (which I would pay for) or wait until my next fill to make the desired changes. At that point, I decided to leaving the lashes as is and move forward with a fill at a different salon where I had already booked an appointment for a few weeks later. Overall, while I appreciated the kindness of the lash technicians, the experience with management was disappointing and did not reflect the level of service I had hoped for. Clear communication and better customer care would have made all the difference.

Unfortunately the gel nails I got didn't even last a week before they started lifting. I would suggest not paying extra for gel, this was my first time getting them and I thought they'd last at least two weeks. I question the sanitary aspect of the salon, the foot scrubber she used on my calluses was placed on top of the other foot scrubbers. So do they just reuse them, or was it not paying attention this one time? I didn't end up with athletes foot or anything luckily.
