I've gone to Amala Studio since Angela was located in downtown Bothell - she does an amazing job! She is quick and quite painless for sugaring or waxing. I've had zero irritation afterwards. I highly recommend Angela, especially for first timers. She will make you feel comfortable and explain the process. read more

Checked this place out using a groupon, which if you really think about is kind of like playing Russian roulette, but with your skin. The studio is nice, has a relaxing sitting room and just an overall chill vibe. I've gotten my first 3 waxes with Angela. Loved her. Very friendly and professional. Highly recommend booking with her, which is also super convenient to do online. read more

Wow, what an awesome experience. I went in for a bikini sugaring. I had never done this before and I was pretty nervous. I went in and I was greeted by Angela. She made the whole experience very comfortable and honestly it didn't hurt at all. I will definitely be going back and next time I'm giving the Brazilian a try! read more

Got my first Brazilian wax here and will definitely be going back routinely now! Angela was amazing. Very professional and made me feel completely comfortable during my experience. Highly recommend Amala Studio for any waxing needs! read more

I had to change salons recently - apparently there are not that many people that are prepared to rip the hairs out of the groin and ass of a man on the Eastside! I came across Amala through Yelp and with the good reviews and the fact that it services men I thought I would give it a try and I was happy I did. The salon has a very relaxing atmosphere and is easy to get to with lots of local street parking. The actual service was excellent - very efficient getting rid of all the unwanted hairs that I had down there. It could be very awkward having a woman messing around done there but I was really put at ease with some great friendly chat and no awkwardness at all. Overall I would recommend this studio and I will definitely be retuning. read more

I can't rave enough about my experience at Amala! Just a month before, I had gone to a high-end spa in downtown Seattle for a Brazilian wax and had a not-so-good experience. The procedure was extremely painful, expensive, and I had a ton of irritation afterwards. After that, I thought I would give up waxing completely, but my visit to Amala changed that! The spa itself is adorable and very clean. It sounds like it has only been around for a few months but looks very well established! The owner, Angela, is an absolute sweetheart. She is extremely skilled and very personable. I felt welcomed, comfortable, and confidant that I was in good hands. My wax with Angela was the best, and most painless wax I've ever had. I also didn't have the irritation I usually get, she is an angel! I will definitely be returning to Amala! read more

First time sugar waxing, first time with a Brazilian. You can imagine my anxiousness! This studio is lovely. So charming & inviting! I went to Beverly who was just fabulous! She engaged in conversation the whole time calming my nerves & making me feel comfortable. The appointment was very fast & she knew what she was doing which helped with the whole experience as well! Already have my next appointment set up with her & can't wait to be a regular! You'll love this place & won't be disappointed! read more

I recently had to switch waxing studios to something closer to home. I noticed a sandwich board out on the street one day while passing on my normal route to a biking a trail. I thought I had to try them out - I live so close and it would be so convenient! Sugaring (versus waxing) was a must for me tho, so I was delighted when I went on the website and saw they do indeed offer! I made my first appointment and I was not disappointed - in fact it was a 180 from disappoint. Angela and Amala Studio is THE BEST SUGARING STUDIO I have been to. Angela herself is very warm, friendly, and approachable (and is great at making chit chat to distract you from the fact hair is being ripped out of your body :). And she does a FABULOUS job on her brazilian sugaring!!! She has also made magic happen in the studio space that she has re-done and decorated - it is just gorgeous! So warm and inviting. Makes me wanna sit down on one of the comfy couches with a good book and hang out all day! If you are looking for a waxing or sugaring place to try out - you MUST try Amala!! Support local businesses! You will not be disappointed. =) read more

Angela is amazing. I was introduced via Groupon, and I've been going ever since. The studio is warm, inviting, and smells amazing. They sell a variety of local and organic clothes and makeup, and much more. The experience while getting a sugar Brazilian is so calm and relaxing. Between the music, ambiance, and great staff, I am always satisfied. read more

Amala Studio - What you look at while on the table! - Skin Care Near Me - Lynnwood, Washington

This was my first time being here and also my first time getting sugared. I saw Beverly who was really nice and made me feel comfortable, a necessary thing especially when you're paying good money to have hair ripped from you (oh the joys of being a girl). The studio was really clean and had a great eclectic style. Beverly was fast and knows what she's doing, which is the most important to me. She made sure to explain to me the difference between sugaring and waxing. I tried sugaring for the first time and I can see why some would think it's more painful than waxing since it's done in smaller patches, frequently rather than laying down a whole strip of wax. All in all, this was a great place and I booked my next appointment in 5 weeks. Go see Beverly! She doesn't disappoint. read more

Gorgeous studio, amazing attention to detail during sugaring process and easy to feel comfortable with my technician. I really enjoyed the process and outcome of my services at Amala. Parking was a little tricky as it was my first visit. You can parking jn the building around the corner from the entrance. My skin feels terrific, no plucked chicken effect at all. I'll be back!! read more

Amala is amazing! This was my first time ever getting a bikini wax. Not only did she do a fantastic job, she was kind, affirming and friendly! I highly recommend her studio! read more

My first experience waxing in a salon, and first ever experience sugaring. Angela did a fantastic job putting me at ease. The results are fabulous with no irritation whatsoever the next day! I went to Amala Studio today. And I highly recommend this studio for waxing. My esthetician was Leimomi and she made the brazilian quick, very professional and painless. I will be going back to her for waxing again. The studio itself looks very clean, relaxing and fancy. Obviously the owner approached to the creation of the studio with attention to the details. read more

I've been a ton of different places for Brazilian waxing and sugaring, and Amala is by far my favorite. I saw Bev the first time and was sad to hear she had moved on to another opportunity, but I went back and saw Elizabeth who was also excellent! I've gotten rashes from other places, but nothing like that here! Whatever formula they use is far less irritating. Both Bev and Elizabeth were quick, and kept the pain to a minimum (there's always pain in hair removal for any first-timers, but compared to other places they were quite gentle.) They both engaged in conversation which makes everything seem so much faster! The location is great, clean and nice facility. I highly recommend checking Amala Studio out! read more

First visit here. Angela is fantastic. I felt she was extremely experienced in waxing and was mostly a painless experience. Competitive rates but seems you get a higher value than most places. read more

Through Groupon, I got an extended bikini sugar wax. The staff was very welcoming, kind, knowledgeable and easy to work with. The facility is very well kept, clean, beautiful in every way, and easy to find in downtown Bothell. The actual service was wonderful - the best waxing experience I've had. No redness, no bleeding, and clean lines. The process is still painful - it is still ripping your hair out - and it takes longer than usual waxing. I'd say regular wax I'd get less than 15 rips, but sugaring was 30+ rips in smaller areas. That being said, I'm thrilled with the results. It looks GREAT and my skin wasn't irritated at ALL. Definitely returning. Thanks, Groupon! read more

Amala Studio is professional, clean, and cute and all staff are an experts at what they do. I have gone to both Angela and Kirsten and they are phenomenal made me feel comfortable and calmed my nerves for my first wax. Any staff member at Amala is kind, professional, and detailed at what they do. Highly recommend and they even do a punch card system and birthday specials:) read more

I found this place because of an amazon local voucher. I had a great experience. I am no stranger to getting waxed or sugared. I got a brazilian sugaring from Angela. She was wonderful, she distracted you so you weren't focused on the pain. She never tried to push any products like most waxing places, but I still got some great advice on a few items she had for sale. I will definitely be making the drive to come here more often. read more

I went to Amala today, best waxing experience by far. I live in Marysville so I was hesitant to be going all the way to Bothell for a wax but hey, a girls gotta get a good wax :-) Angela was there and greeted me by name when I walked in the door. The studio looked and smelled great. Angela made my Brazilian as painless as possible, she was extremely quick, not in a bad way, she obviously knew what she was doing and even took the time to tweeze those annoying stray hairs. I'll definitely be going back to her for my maintenance and I couldn't recommend a better studio. read more

Angela is the best! I unfortunately haven't been able to see her in a while because of my work schedule, but I plan to see her soon. She is knowledgeable, and makes you comfortable in what is typically an uncomfortable situation. :) I always have good conversation with her and enjoy catching up each month. Well worth the price. read more

I previously had visited a different place for binkini waxing but always felt uncomfortable during and after the service. My skin was irriated, red and very bumpy the next day. Came here on a recommendation from a friend to see Angela for sugaring services. SO glad that I did, Angela makes you feel so comfortable and while he sympathizes with the pain she still gets the job done without babying you.. which I need.. haha. I am currently finishing up my 8th month of pregnancy and have continued to visit angela for extended bikini sugaring, cause lets face it.. it gets to a point you cant even see down there... she has remained professional and kind while getting the job done and the results never disappoint!! Clean lines, no irritation and lasts for weeks!! read more

I bought a groupon for a Brazilian sugar and when I initially booked an appointment online with Angela turned out that for groupons I can only see Brianna or Nora. I booked with Brianna and was very disappointed. She left a lot of hair. And their Brazilian does not include the back side? Whaaat?! Will NOT come back! read more

Thank you leimomi for an amazing sugar wax && good convo!!! My first time here& I'll deff be back, she was so friendly, made an hour pain feel painless! The studio itself is clean and calming. Beautiful flowers butterflies decoration on the ceiling :) read more

Angela is fantastic! She makes you feel extremely comfortable. It was worth to drive from Seattle to come to her adorable studio. Best waxing experience thus far. Plenty of parking. So muss no fuss. I will definitely be back! read more

This place is.. Amazing!! The ladies that work here are so refreshing, funny, and professional! The space is so comfortable you forget that you're going in for a small amount of Torture!! They have some wonderful products as well. I would recommend this place to everyone! It's exactly what I was looking for in a wax studio! read more

Me and a male friend came here for the first time for touch up brazilian waxes that we had originally gotten at trievas. The only reason we didn't go back there is because they were booked past the time when we needed the wax. Amala Studio is small, but cozy and very nicely decorated. They offered alcoholic beverages which was also a great touch that I enjoyed, but as for the actual wax, I have had so much better. The woman who did our waxes was very friendly, but the waxes were terrible. My friend and I both broke out very bad the next day, she did not even get all of the hairs on either of our backsides and to top it off the hair that she did wax grew back full force in about 2-3 days for us both. I was pretty disappointed after I got home and saw she had missed so much hair on my backside and even more disappointed when it all started growing back 2 days later. It's a great place with a really nice staff, but I don't think I would ever return, it was a pretty big waste of money. I will continue going to my normal waxer. read more

I have been coming to Amala for the last couple of years and Angela and her staff really are the best. I usually see Angela, but have been seen by all of her staff on occasion and they have all been really warm, professional, quick, and easy to talk to. This is important, especially when you think about all the awkwardness that comes with these services, it's nice to have someone who is able to have a comfortable conversation flow. I have never had any irritation after services, and the scheduling process is really easy via their website. I would also recommend being added to their email list as sometimes Angela sends out emails with specials, or added services on special days, such as henna. read more

Angela is the BEST! I have been to many different sugaring places and no one beats her service and skills! She does a very clean (no hair left behind :)) job with minimal pain! It was nearly painless with Angela and the end result was awesome! I will be going back every time I need sugaring and her new studio is just so warm, cozy and ADORABLE~ It's worth the money and you will never regret if you do your sugaring with Angela! read more

Amala studio does not disappoint! I went in here for my first extended bikini wax and I'm so glad that I did. Angela made my feel so comfortable, and the process wasn't as painful as i thought it would be. She was so sweet and welcoming. I went to a different place once and i regretted it! No other place beats Amala studio! Seriously, you will not be disappointed! read more

Beverly did an amazing job! It was my first time getting a Brazilian and my first time trying sugaring. She explained everything to me and how sugaring would work better for my skin (I am VERY pale and prone to turning quite red with waxing) and made me feel very relaxed for my first wax. She kept up conversation during the wax to keep my mind off the pain as well which was very helpful. I now have a beautiful wax, no redness or bumps like I would have after hot waxing. I will definitely return for another sugaring service. read more

I have been to Angela for almost a year and I loved her. She is really an expert when it comes to waxing and again she is pain free. I used to get redness sand bumpy before when I had got Brazilian done at local waxing shops. But when it comes to sensitive parts, you do need people who know how to handle with care. I once also called her " beauty doctor" when I was 39 weeks pregnant and got Brazilian done. She is friendly and understanding. read more

Really love this place! All the girls I've scheduled with are so nice and do a really great job with making you feel comfortable, as well as getting the wax itself done! Whenever I see a groupon for this place I immediately jump at the opportunity! I've gone to one other place with a groupon and had an ok experience, but definitely not nearly as professional/ clean as here. I'm definitely more willing to pay full price for an appointment at Amala since I get a positive experience and positive results. read more

I have been to Amala Studio a couple of times now. I have seen Angela both times for a Brazilian. She does great work, is very professional and provides a relaxing environment. I have nothing but positive things to say. She has introduced me to Sugaring, which I would highly recommended. My skin feels less raw afterwards than with wax, plus the regrowth is lighter due to less breakage. If you are looking for a great wax/sugar check this place out. I would highly recommend. Will be back again soon. read more

I had an eye brow wax, Nora took out half of my left eye brow. It took Angela, the owner, two days to sent me this email ,"Unfortunately, we all have off days, it's just unfortunate in this line of work. I know Nora can't express how sorry she was, but feels horrible about how things turned out. I'm not sure how we can help you now, its just a matter of time till it grows out, but I would like to offer you a free service. Again sorry you had a bad experience here and hope to see you back" I do not think mistake like this acceptable as having off days and will I risk for a free service? I only wish I can post the photo to show how horrible the experience is. read more

My first sugaring experience with Bev was great! A bit more painful than I was expecting at first (about the same as a Brazilian Wax), but definitely worth it. She is a great aesthetician who knows her game! She said to come back within six weeks, and not to shave in between waxes because it makes the next sugaring treatment harder. The amount of hair growth I had by my second treatment (exactly 5 weeks later) was about what I would have had at 5-6 days after shaving. It's incredible! I'll be on a five week plan with her forever now! I would recommend Amala-Bev or Angela- to anyone, but especially to someone who is new to sugaring. read more
