I got my face waxed at the location by the JCPenney in alderwood. She peeled off my skin. I have been crying in pain and applying hydrocortisone and lidocaine on my face. EVEN Aloe Vera is burning really bad. She also dropped wax on my hair that I had to come home and take care of. I had a party tonight that I was getting my face waxed for which I couldn't go to. I'm so upset at the whole thing and the pain!! It's not my first time getting face wax, I'm not naive to waxes but damnnnn this is just too painful. Last year I stopped going here because I got my face cut when I got my face threaded couple of times, which is why I asked for wax because I didn't want to cut my face. But THIS IS WORSE. read more

I have been coming to Brow Arc for 10 years. I always get my brows done. Not all workers are equal there, some care more and some care less. I was convinced to try brow lamination. The worker said it would be $69, and is usually $99. When I was being rung up the total came to $112. Apparently you have to buy product along with the lamination. I was told it wouldn't work without it. She never mentioned that when she was selling it to me. I hated the way the lamination turned out, it did not suit my face at all, too dark, too bushy, and not refined enough like my normal threading. I would not reccomend brow lamination here at all. read more

I am currently a member of this facility, and I typically go to the outside location in Lynnwood. I often times purchase a package at a discounted rate that included 6 brow services.. I received a text message stating that one of my services was used when in fact, I was not the person who was using it. I called the customer service number that is listed, and I spoke with someone who kept repeating to me that "everything is fixed" I tried to ask multiple times if they can look into this and all they said was "everything is fixed". How would everything be "fixed" if you didn't even ask for my name or phone number. I am super infuriated, and I believe this is stealing. I will be contacting my bank to dispute this charge if this is not resolved by the owner. I understand that mistakes happen, but the person on the phone definitely needs to learn some customer service skill. Sad, I'm a longtime customer of 10 years. read more

Went to the inside location on a Saturday. I usually see Suman and have a great experience, but she was unavailable today. The technician who did my brows nicked my eyelid multiple times resulting in bumps across my lids. She was talking with other people throughout my entire session. When she asked if I liked it, I noticed some parts were still messy. She offered to fix it and made excuses by saying how busy she was. At the end, she asked if I wanted cooling gel and of course it was much needed at this point, but when I walked out the store, I saw remains of the tissue smeared all over my eyelids and forehead... Meh, it's okay. First time doing Henna eye brows. I think my expectations were too high, I saw other people I know with henna eye brows, I saw many videos and thought I would at least try it. The price was very reasonable but it was not like I was told or what I saw from video's. The associate cleaned up the hair around the brow with thread, that was great but no shaping, no arch, no wow look at my brows! It was "oh my plain brows but slightly darker", very slightly darker, the henna did not sit long enough for the color to work. I wanted a cute little arch, shaped, darker brow, I left with my same brow cleaned up a little. I think I need to go to a specialty spa to get the results I was expecting. Upgraded from a kiosk in the mall, this Brow Arc location has its own location now (outdoor entrance) at Alderwood Mall. When you enter, the interior is very clean and fresh looking. I was very excited and pleasantly surprised with the ambiance when I walked in the door! I came in on a Sunday around 6:20 (they close at 7). I figured if I come in later, they wouldn't be as busy. There were two employees, but one of them stayed at the front closing out the POS and collecting trash while the other was the only one who was threading (and then served as the cashier). I was only behind one person (the one being worked on), and there were four people behind me. I waited 15 minutes before even being acknowledged. I usually give businesses the benefit of the doubt when it comes to employee personalities, but I had an exceptionally poor experience. Lack of customer service was one thing, but then since only one person was working on customers, I felt like the employee rushed my service. I felt uncomfortable the whole time and not welcome, so when she was done, I was so ready to just leave and fix any issues myself at home. My eyebrows are a bit cleaned up, but I was disappointed with how many areas were missed (which haven't been missed in the past by the employees at Northgate and Bellevue). While I think my experience had something to do with Brow Arc being short staffed on a Sunday, it was not positive. I have a membership, so I will give this place another shot at a different time of day and can re-evaluate at that time. read more

It's been a while since I've had my brows done... covid, ya know. But Friday while we were walking past, I noticed there wasn't anyone waiting and I could get right in. Big mistake. While the person who did the threading for my brows and upper lip was super nice in conversation, this process was super painful! More than it needed to be, but that was due to the very aggressive way she went about the process. Previously, anyone I've had doing threading was much more slow and careful. This person just ripped my face... literally. I have cuts under my brows and it's 3 days later. With these cuts, in order to avoid infection, I can't even put makeup on right now. I've came here twice. The first time I had a good experience and my second time back, not so much. I have powdered brows (tattoo) and I told the girl that I just wanted them cleaned up, since last time that's what I said too. She said okay and then ended up taking majority of the hair off the shape of my brow, specifically under the middle part of my eye brow. One brow is completely a new shape and when I told her everything I saw she said she was following the "natural shape of my eyebrow" to which I said.. I came in with my eyebrows pretty grown out so that WAS the natural shape of my eyebrow. She took of hair that was unnecessary to remove so now I'm pretty unhappy especially since I've spent so much money just getting my eye brows to grow out in the first place. She took my. Brows all the way down to the tattoo which is NOT what "clean them up" means. She even stated that next time I come I should not wear powder in my brows and I was thinking.. that shouldn't even matter if I had makeup on because there's a specific shape to follow. If I didn't have powder she might've taken more off. The woman I saw had an obvious visual disability which I put my precautions aside for because I figured she knew what to do since she works there. I don't think it made me comfortable to see that she had a visual issue but after my service I see that it's affected her work. After she was done I told her to take off specific hairs from a specific area so that I wouldn't leave with two different shaped brows. The prices are reasonable, I can't seem to find any other place in the area that would have it cheaper, but everywhere else is either a little more or at the same price. 'Threading' is starting to become more common in the northwest, so hopefully there may be a decrease in prices? I normally go to the same person. It was a pretty busy day but I was able to get in. There were only two ladies working inside, but there was a line. ***TIP: go on their website or yelp to add your name on the list. You have to renew/update your number in line by clicking the hyperlink that will be texted to you. Stay close because people who are not on this list will cut in line since you're not there or you're on the way to your appointment as you texted/notified for your number. Anyway, my eyebrows are kind wonky and uneven. What's worse is that I have Asian eyebrows so that means it's already nonexistent to begin with. She worked with what I got, and surprisingly she did an amazing job. She did a better job that my go to lady that waxed my eyebrows who happens to somehow take away more and more each visit. These ladies use a thread to shape our eyebrows. The end result looks more natural than waxing in my opinion. So if you're trying to grow out your eyebrows but don't want to wax (just in case you take of a little more than planned) go to Brow Arc and these ladies will listen and help you out. read more

I am so disappointed. I'd been coming to Brow Arc every now and then for years and my mother used to have a membership. Today I went in and she didn't really ask me the brow shape I was looking for, which I thought was kind of weird, but I thought to myself "well I'm just looking for a clean up anyways". I have a scar on one of my eyebrows so hair doesn't grow in that exact spot. When she finished my eyebrows and handed me the mirror I noticed that my left brow was significantly thinner than the right brow. She said that she did this to overcompensate for the hairless spot and I told her that I wear eyebrow makeup pretty often and I just wanted them to be an even shape. After conveying my problem to her and she went back in 4 times and still couldn't make them even. I finally said "okay, whatever" and when I got up to pay I noticed that I was bleeding from her plucking my brows with tweezers. I am very disappointed and will not be returning. I've been to many Brow Arc locations. The Alderwood most often. But they are constantly late opening. I've had my eyelids bleed from someone's threading skills. They have a different routine per person. Some will fill in brows. Most wont. Some actually sanitize anything. Some don't. I'm tired of this subpar service. It's affordable. But the people here either aren't trained in sanitation or don't care about it. They didn't clean the brow makeup pencil between clients. They will sometimes offer gel or witch hazel. But it seems if they are short on time (which they seem to be often) they forget or don't care. They have a high high pressure sale tactic as well. I will tell them directly that I want the three brow threading package. But they continue to try and up sell me anything. Every time. I understand it's their job but I mean... there's a point. A few times I've been in early like the first person in there and it doesn't look swept or cleaned the night before. read more
