On Atlantic Avenue in the heart of downtown Delray Beach is Sazio Italian Restaurant. I want to say that this restaurant has been in Delray Beach now for quite sometime as I recall going to it for lunch many years ago when I used to work in the area. The restaurant has a nice outdoor patio area and several tables inside as well. We opted to sit inside in mid-August. We were quickly greeted upon entering the restaurant by Michele who also was our server. We ordered a Caesar salad to start and spilt it in two, which was not a problem for Sazio to accommodate our request. I ordered the Lemon Chicken with Green Beans and Broccoli and Ron had the Chicken Marsala with Mixed Veggies and Spinach. Freshly prepared and I can say that we both enjoyed our dinners very much. The potions are very generous so much so we couldn't even come close to finishing it all. I love passion Fruit Iced Tea and was delighted to see that Sazio offered it too! Prices are a bit on the steep side, but all restaurants on the Avenue in Delray are for that matter. If your in the area and craving Italian food, do give Sazio a try, I think you will very much enjoy it! read more

Sazio is in a class all it's own on Atlantic Avenue in Delray Beach. The service was great considering how busy they are. The place is not that big, but they pack them in. The calamari was excellent. The food was very good and very large portions. Since we spent the weekend at a hotel we packed up left overs and gave them to homeless people. I really love Sazio. I've been going there for many years. I like everything on the menu. Just good old Italian food. We had the red snapper and it was perfectly cooked and melted in my mouth. The risotto was too good. I pigged out on it. I was oinking the entire night. I love that Risotto - you will too. We had a pizza and I loved it. Sazio is located in a prime section of Atlantic Boulevard. If you sit outside it's a great people watching spot. The service was great and we were seated almost immediately. Beware if you come on a Friday or Saturday night. You will have to wait as you would have to wait anywhere else on Atlantic on a Friday or Saturday. I like this place and so will you. I have eaten at Sazio's late night pizza window many times, but I've never actually stopped in for a meal. I have been missing out! They have a great menu of pizzas (with pretty thin crust!) , sandwiches, salads, and some Italian classics. The waitress brought out breadsticks to start, which were not very flavorful one, but they were topped with a delicious and garlicky oil which made them excellent! The pepperoni pizza has a very thin crust, which I like, and it was cooked well. The service was very slow for a Saturday night, considering the restaurant was not that packed. We visited Sazio last night for dinner and had a very enjoyable evening. Our waitress was Lady and she was great. We arrived at 6pm and had our pick of tables on the patio. We ordered a bottle of wine. We were not in any rush and wanted to enjoy our nice Italian dinner and didn't feel rushed at all. We started with the burrata which was served with tomato's. It was fresh and delicious. Then we both had Caesar salads. I had the lemon chicken scallopini which I got with linguini. It was delicious and my husband had lobster ravioli that was great as well. We were so full we didn't get dessert but they gave us two chocolate covered strawberries at the end of the evening. We were done by 8:30 and enjoyed the evening. read more

I stopped by for breakfast while staying at the Seagate Hotel and the sandwich was great and half the price of anything else in the area. I had egg, cheese and ham on a kaiser roll. I've always thought Sazio was the best pizza on the Ave and last Friday night I was proven correct. It's been about 7-8 years since I was last there and must say it's still so good. Myself, son and bf went on a busy night and we were seated and tended to instantly. The service was great, you can tell there's a teamwork vibe about it. We sat inside due to the summer heat and humidity (even at night). Two sodas, a large cheese pizza and a gigantic cheese calzone (the biggest I've ever seen/eaten. It was by far the best I've had in Florida. Cooked to a nice crisp on the outside and a fluffy bread like center, I could tell it was made by an experienced chef. We were there for it! Sazio is EASILY one of the best spots in Delray. Their menu is huge (so everyone in your group will have no trouble finding something to eat!) and everything we've tried has been fantastic. The pecan crusted chicken salad is incredible and MASSIVE! I'm still not over how delicious the chicken Alfredo is, and the sausage sandwich is phenomenal as well! The sangria (both white & red) is delicious and refreshing, especially on a warm south Florida day. The staff is always attentive, welcoming, and professional. You can truly taste that each dish is hand-made daily and that level of quality has been consistent each time I've come! Their pizza is delicious as well and NEVER too greasy!
