Pepperoni pizza

I have been to piezano twice now and each time have enjoyed my meal. The first time service was a bit weird. She seemed like she was having a bad day. There wasn't many people in, and it took forever to get her attention for refills. But the next time we went in, the service was great! Each time I started with pasta fagioli. It's good! Then I get the chicken parm (no cheese) with penne pasta! The sauce is yummy! And the chicken is done well! Always good! Pizza there each time has been great! Definitely will go back!

Did an advance order for a next day delivery. This pizza tasted like it was made yesterday for today. It got cold very fast, and the crust is hard and tasteless. I will not reorder from them again. The salad was the only good part of this order.

Margarita Pizza next day was just as good

Jerry Seinfeld's Soup Nazi meets Boca Raton's Pizza Nazi Let's start off from the beginning. Took my family out for some pizza on a Saturday around 1:30 pm. We decided on PieZanos. When we stepped inside, the place looked great but felt closed. No customers around, no one to great us, and when I looked around I found some guy laying down in a booth napping and a waitress in the next booth drinking something on her phone. I looked at my wife with the eyes of run, but it was too late...the waitress over heard my fear and greeted us. Now remember the guy sleeping in the booth, he is the main event. Our waitress, who was very sweet tried to bring all our waters at ones and spilled one of them over our table and floor. She seemed like she just started here so let's give her the benefit of the doubt. We ordered one Capris Salad, one sausage rube dish, and three pizzas. The Caprese Salad came out looking amazing. When my wife ate the tomatoes though, they were mushy inside like the tomatoes were frozen and thawed out. We asked for some fresh tomatoes and they returned with the same kind...mush my wife orders this dish at every Italian restaurant...never have I seen her return a Caprese Salad...I tried it and it was mush. The Sausage Rube came out looking like ummm...hard to explain. The sausage did not resemble any sausage I have seen before. The dish was just oil and garlic...flavor less. The sausage was so dry, eating it was disgusting. My wife tried and shook her head. The pizza came out so I gave our waitress the plate and said I was done eating it. The Pizza, now this stuff made the other failures worth it. I did the Keto Pizza crust with peppers and onions. The Bomb!! Cooked perfect and tasted perfect. The Margarita and Cheese Pizza, the bomb! Great taste nice crispy crust and great flop. Best part. So why the one star review?? Well remember the sleeping guy in the booth in the beginning of my story? Well it turns out he was the manager or owner. He decided it would be a great idea to come over to our table in a threatening manner and ask how everything was. I told him that it wasn't that good, tomatoes were mushy and sausage was so dry. He in his Russian / Bad Italian accent looked at us and said he tried the tomatoes and they were fine and he tried the sausage and it was fine. I told him that's great not asking for your review or a free meal. He stormed off mad at us. "No Pizza For You". That's what I felt like he would say. Overall, not a chance in hell I would go to this place out eat here again after the attitude of the sleeping manager/owner. This guy does not know how to run a business and has no idea what a Tomato taste like if he in fact did try what we sent back. Pizza was so good though...and the guy making the pizza knows his stuff. That guy needs to start his own pizza place!

Margherita Pizza

Pizza is so good! We ordered about 10 pies today to my work place to feed everybody who had to come in on a Saturday. The pizzas were delicious. We had a plain cheese, a pepperoni, a veggie a margherita, and one with all the meats. the Margherita was by far the best. Nice, thin crust, fresh mozzarella and tasty sauce. Although the meat and veggie really good too. Both were loaded with toppings. So delicious and that crust was so thin! All I can say is, I will definitely be ordering from there again.

Went with friends who eat here all the time, our first time. Very cute and upscale pizza place that also has a large selection of Italian pasta and other Italian specialties. The only negative was our server, she was devoid of personality. Ordered a large mushroom pizza. N Y style from a brick oven, nice thin and crispy crust.

This is a decent place. The pizza is really good. However, the entrees tend to be so-so. Definitely recommend the pizza over anything else.

Sounds crazy to say this one of the best Italian subs and it's in Boca Raton, FL…read more Anyways this place is the real deal! V & S Italian Deli is an authentic Italian deli. It transports you to an Italian NY deli. The place is packed, bustling spot and that alone tells you everything you need to know. You know it's good when you walk in and the place is packed. We split the Chicken Cutlet Florentine and it was absolutely incredible. Heads up: the full size is massive, so splitting it is definitely the move and still totally worth it!! The service was super friendly despite how busy it was. I had my eye on the black & white cookie too because what's an authentic Italian deli without one? Sounds like my next visit to Boca includes trying more stuff!

I found this spot through Yelp because of the strong reviews, so I decided to give it a try. When I…read morearrived, there was a long line and the place was packed -- always a good sign that something's being done right. The sandwich itself was good, made with quality ingredients and solid flavor overall. The bread and fillings were fresh, and you can tell they care about what they're serving. One small detail: I wasn't offered any sauce suggestions, and because of that, my sandwich ended up feeling a bit dry. I think a simple recommendation from the staff would've elevated the experience. Still, it was tasty and reasonably priced. The place is small, but it gets the job done -- very much a neighborhood deli vibe. Overall, a good, no-frills sandwich spot worth trying, especially if you're already in the area.

I was driving down Glades Road on a rainy Sunday around 10:45 am. Decided to pull over into this…read moreshopping center to see what was open until the rain let up (which it didn't). Laspada had a lit up sign in the window saying they're "open." I seem to recall Next Door Boca giving them decent reviews. I am a native of Philly, hometown of the hoagie. I thought I'd give this place a try. I ran from my car through the rain and tugged on the door....locked. The door hours say open at 11! So much for the lit "open" sign. They have outdoor metal tables and chairs under an awning. I sat at an outdoor table for ten minutes. I looked through the storefront window at a couple employees prepping and I read the wall menu. A guy unlocked the place at 11. I let a young family and several other guys go ahead of me. Guy at the slicing wheel waited on me. I ordered a small Mama Lastrada turkey & salami on wheat. There's about a half dozen employees behind the counter dealing with the assembly line of customers and sandwiches. Guy at the slicing wheel tells me one of the other guys will work on my sandwich. Okay. However, I can't move down the line because there's customers still lined up ahead of me waiting for their food. Slicing wheel guy looks up at me a minute later and asks what he can get for me. I look back at him waiting for him to recognize me from a minute ago when he already had sliced my order. No recognition! I repeated my order to him. Now he remembers me! He again refers me to one of his junior sandwich prep guys. I overheard him telling a busy junior guy, "This is just a small Mama on wheat" or something like that. Still, I can't go down the line because there's guy ahead of me had placed an order for 3 sandwiches. I swear to you that the slicing wheel guy asks me for a THIRD time for my order! By this time, I felt like I was in a Monty Python sketch. I repeated my order. Again, he refers me to a third junior associate (Manny, Moe, and Jack)? Finally, a young associate asked me for toppings. I had noticed two lettuce bins. One bin looked fine. The other looked a little brown. I decided to skip the lettuce rather than ask him to pick from the left hand bin and embarrass them. I also saw a black speck in the onion bin. It probably was nothing but I decided to skip onions just to be safe. I chose tomatoes, Swiss cheese, pickles and sweet peppers. The debit card reader asks if I want to tip. I skipped that. Price was reasonable. Hoagie was okay. The roll was soggy. Philly hoagie shops pride themselves on their rolls. I understand this is Florida, not Philly. I can appreciate this place is popular and busy. However, being asked for my order 3 times by the same experienced worker there left me feeling less than special as a customer.

5/5 -- Worth Every Mile…read more Laspada's Original Hoagies is that spot for me. Whenever I head south, it's the very first place I stop--and when I'm driving home, it's the last place I hit before getting back on the road. I even have to bring home a full order for my family, three hours away. I literally drive three hours just to eat Laspada's. That's how good they are. It was one of my favorite places when I lived in South Florida, and after all these years, they're still making the best hoagies I've ever had. Fresh, flavorful, stacked, and totally unmatched. If you know, you know. And if you don't--go. You'll understand immediately.

Great coffee, great breakfast, and really the only good breakfast around the BRIC/Yamato area…read more Unfortunately, they have to compete with trendy Seed right next door, but the coffee is just as good, and the food is much better. That's just my take, I go to both, but I prefer Fresco.

On the south end of the plaza is The Seed and that's where we were headed for coffee... At the last minute I decided I was hungry but I wasn't in the mood for danish or other lite bites that The Seed offers (as good as they are). So we decided to check out Fresco (which we only discovered when we drove by in the parking lot). Turns out they have been around for quite sometime and it was obvious they are in business to service the workers/staff in the area since they are closed on weekends and only serve breakfast and lunch. They have juices and coffees and smoothies... I ordered the STRAW-NANA (strawberry and banana); loved it. They offer a variety of breakfast sandwiches and wraps; plus platters and bagels; plenty of options. My wife got their TORANI WRAP (eggs, tomatoes and sautéed spinach but she excluded the provolone). She loved her wrap. The menu has a very impressive lunch section... wraps, salads, panini sandwiches and overstuffed sandwiches and THEY ARE NOT BASIC. The combinations and ingredients bring out the appetite for sure. I ended up trying their FIRENZE PANINI (grilled chicken breast with roasted red peppers, sautéed baby spinach, provolone and pesto aioli); this sh#t was delicious. And the Ciabatta bread was so delicious. In addition to all these menu options, they have a lot of other offerings in their glass case(s)... I tried one of their bakery offerings (dry but good). MOST IMPORTANTLY... these owner(s)/staff are unbelievably friendly and helpful. The food was delicious. AND ONE MORE ANNOUNCEMENT: Starting RIGHT NOW, Fresco Foodworks is now open on Saturdays !

FIVE STARS. GAS STATION? YES. GAS STATION? ALSO YES…read more Let's get something straight. Some of the best food on earth comes from places that look like you shouldn't trust them. Gas stations. Side streets. Tiny counters with three tables and a refrigerator humming in the corner. I saw WhatSub on Yelp and thought, "Alright. Let's see if the hype survives State Road 7." It didn't just survive. It flexed. I am fully on board with five-star gas station cuisine. In fact, I seek it out. And WhatSub doesn't just play the game -- it competes internationally. This place comes dangerously close to Sandwich Master in Turin, Italy. I'm not exaggerating. And it narrowly beats out Generoso's in Coral Springs, which is not an easy feat. The bread? Legit. The meats? Layered like someone actually respects the architecture of a sandwich. The balance? No soggy mess. No overkill. No amateur hour. And then the cannoli. Freshly piped. Not pre-filled. Not sitting there getting sad and humid. Fresh. Filled to order. Shell still crisp. Ricotta smooth and balanced -- not overly sweet, not grainy, not lazy. Best cannoli I've had in South Florida since Lorenzo's in North Miami Beach. That's not a casual comparison. That's a statement. Now let's talk atmosphere. It's technically in a gas station plaza -- and yet the owners and staff are actually speaking Italian behind the counter. Not performative. Not touristy. Just normal conversation like you accidentally stepped into a deli in Torino. It feels real. So real that I went back the next day. And then again. I am not joking. When I ask myself, "What was my favorite thing?" the answer is dangerous: Everything I ordered. Cold subs. Hot subs. Cannoli. Repeat. This is the kind of place you almost don't want to write about because once the word spreads, lines get longer and secrets disappear. But credit where credit is due. WhatSub is proof that greatness doesn't need chandeliers. Sometimes it just needs good bread, proper technique, and someone who actually cares.

Came here because I saw it was a new Italian sub shop near my area. Saw good reviews and wanted to…read moretry it myself. Behind the counter was a husband/wife duo who were the business owners (didn't get their names) who stated they were from Sicily. After much deliberation, I decided to order the Arthur Ave and the Milano. The Arthur Ave is a cold sandwich that had prosciutto, arugula, stracciatella, sun dried tomato. You have a choice of bread from white, wheat rolls, and focaccia. I was informed by the husband the focaccia is made fresh daily by his wife so of course I had to try that. The wife was nice enough to let me try a sample of the prosciutto and I have to say -- it was delicious, so getting it on a sandwich was going to be a no-brainer. The Milano was for my father. Watching them make the sandwich, they put two huge pieces of chicken cutlet, mayo, lettuce, tomato, and freshly sliced mozzarella. Again, I got the focaccia bread. Both sandwich's were drizzled on the top of the focaccia bread with fresh Italian olive oil which was just the cherry on top. I had told the owners it was my first time and we had a great conversation, that they were nice enough to give me and my parents 3 free mini cannolis -- which was completely unexpected and highly appreciated! As far as the food goes, I don't have enough adjectives in my vocabulary to describe how delicious this sandwich was. From the delicious meats, the fresh veggies, and my personal favorite part -- that focaccia bread. I would buy that alone. They had specials on their menu the day I went that was a not on their menu -- a meatball sub and arancini balls. Also, keep in mind, that this shop is inside the Mobil gas station on 441 and SW 18th. There is a sign on the outside of the gas station, but if you're driving by and unsure of the location, I can confirm it is inside the Mobil. Overall, a great experience; delicious food, great people behind the counter. Only caveat I would say is it is a little bit higher price for a sandwich, but with the current economy where a McDonalds burger is over 10 bucks, you truly get what you pay for and that is top quality, fresh and delicious food. Will definitely be coming back here in the future.
