This is an amazing Massage Place. I've been going here for past 12+ years and the service and the qualities making me go back every time. The place is beautifully designed very clean and very professional no matter who you choose to get your massage with. the last time I had my service with Mia* and I was amazed as always, she even found the tight muscles that I wasn't aware of . They are very professional highly recommended worth every penny. read more

I come here 1-2x a month, and I have been very happy, I always tip 20%-25%. Today, my massage was just ok, and when I went to pay, I tried to leave a 20% tip but was shamed into leaving a 30% tip. I left feeling very bad about myself and the whole experience. Not sure if I will go back after that unfortunately. Everyone has been lovely, but the cashier that was there today was different from usual and this was very unprofessional. read more

I will come here every time I visit Los Angeles. From the lovely Lavendar aromatherapy and gold ornate decor, everything about this Thai massage spa is perfect. I highly recommend the combination massage if you like a lighter pressure massage with stretching. read more

Sawadee Thai Spa - Laying on my comfy warm massage bed post-treatment wanting a nap - Massage Near Me - Los Angeles, California

Sawadee Massage offers a relaxing environment, but the massage itself is underwhelming. The pressure is way too light and I didn't feel any effect afterwards. Probably won't be coming back. read more

The absolute best massage in West LA! And I've tried at least 5! I keep coming back to Sawadee because they have the best masseuses who really understand alignment and mobility. I usually get the combo which includes stepping and stretching out. read more

I went in with an awful backache. My masseuse was incredible. I feel so much better. I highly recommend this spa.

In my opinion, this is the best massage spot in the area, especially for the price-performance. It has a very calming environment. The rooms are private and very clean, which I think is a huge plus. Of course, the massage experience can vary depending on the person, but I think they do a great job in general. They always try to accommodate your needs, even if you book at the last minute. The combination massage is great as you get the best of both worlds. They always check in to see if you are okay with certain things, like walking on you, etc. I definitely say give it a try, you won't be disappointed! read more

Highly recommend this place! I want to shoutout Max. He is truly amazing. His skills are unmatched. I usually go for the combination massage with hard pressure. For beginners, I'd recommend a medium pressure as the hard will have you holding your breath at moments. I go every week! The staff is friendly, welcoming, and prices are reasonable. There's parking in the back at times. read more

Not sure if my masseuse was experienced but I was not relaxed at all. I had to ask him to go lighter on the pressure multiple times because it felt like he just kept digging into it. I asked for them not to step on my back, he still did. I'm starting to feel sore and pain in my upper back a few hours after the massage and I really hope he didn't hurt it. Also, the sheets smelled. read more

90 minutes for $94.00 My lady was really bad I feel like the time is too long for workers to want to message well because no pressure is involved and it was so light it was more stressful than enjoyable because I had spent so much just to be touched it feels like not really worked on $100 to just press lightly made me upset I used to love this place and would come all the time. Feel like I had no message and wasted money Won't be returning back What a shame. read more

Wow, life changing! I had to stay in the area till evening, so why not treat myself to a massage! I had my go-to place, but they weren't available for me so I had to look elsewhere. It was a blessing in disguise! I think I found my new favorite spot! The place is part of a plaza and one of the best part is that there's a small parking lot behind them! I think it I was the only customer in there at the time, but I didn't mind (less noise). The price were decent, comparable to the other one I usually go to. As you enter the door to the rooms, it is one of the most decorated hallways ever! Golden sparkles, sculptures that make you feel like you walked thru the door to Thailand. Even the rooms had a bit of shimmer. My masseuse was Noi and she was the best! Quick greet and chat, then off she went on my back. I didn't even have to tell her my area of pain or problem. She knew exactly what I needed, it's like she can feel my energy and vibe. Somethings in the way of my chi. I booked the 90 min massage since I had time to spare. I just loved every bit of it and she didn't even have to walk on my back. She took her time to try to get all my knots out even though we both know you can't do that in one session (now I wished I didn't move farther away!). I'm still in awe that she knew exactly where the knots are. The more she tried to targeted the area, the more I feel tingling because it's working. Releasing all that toxicity. If you ever want someone that can feel your energy just by being in her presence, ask for Noi. She works Tuesdays and Wednesdays for sure, she may have said another day. You can always call and ask. My only complaint is the acoustic in the place. You can actually hear everything. A few customers came in during my session and right next door to me. It sounded as if they were in my room. The partitions/walls are all the up to the wall, so sounds really travels. Either fix that or make sure you speak softly, the other masseuse was just as loud. I don't know if that was normal, but took me by surprise. Thank goodness it didn't last long. Everyone got into their zone of relaxing. I wish I was closer, but next time when I'm in the area! read more

I don't think I've written a review on Yelp for over 3 years, but I got the combo massage and it was one of the best massages I've gotten. It was as good as the $293 massage I got in Bali at a high-end resort. I highly recommend this place. read more

Swung by here last Sunday- first time back since Covid started, and overall good experience. They've raised their price to $60/hr (comparable to other decent Thai massage joints) and parking is easy in that area, even on weekends. Facility is clean. As expected (and remembered), walls are super thin so was distracting when other customers were wrapping up their sessions (also, groaners really kill the mood for me but it's a crapshoot who's room you'll be next to). The massage itself was solid, but just a couple uncomfortable moments, like bare naked feet used to step on your bare back (ick)...though in her defense she had no calluses...but still would have been nice if she kept the sheet on my back before she did that. She also giggled with every *pop* in my bones and asked me at least 10 times during the massage if I was doing ok...so it was distracting and not as relaxing or therapeutic as I thought it would be. BUT, still a bargain for what I paid for, so I can't complain there. read more

I really wanted to like this place given the location, and I am hoping that maybe I just had a uniquely bad experience. I would recommend avoiding Leah. I paid for a 90 minute deep-tissue massage. The massage was neither 90 minutes nor deep tissue. The massage started about 10 minutes late (I was laying in the room alone for about half that time). I generally don't have an issue with the place running a few minutes behind because all of the other places I've gone to will start late and end late. Here, we ended right at 8pm (i.e., it ended up being a 80 minute massage). Leah asked where I wanted to target, but I'm not sure why she asked because she did not take this request into account at all. It's hard to describe the actual massage. It felt like Leah took her hands and just randomly pushed(?) at different parts of my body. It was unlike any other massages I've received, and not in a good way. Halfway through, I asked for more pressure, but she still continued her halfhearted pushing. I'm not sure if it's because I caught her at the end of her day, and she was tired. Leah also did a weird face massage with the same hands with which she touched my feet. At no point did she ask me to remove my makeup, so the entire process felt icky. It was like she was rubbing in my makeup + feet bacteria into my pores. In the end, I felt no relief from the pain--I just felt like I had gotten lightly groped/pinched for about an hour. I did end up tipping but only because it was very clear that it was expected, and, as the last customer, I was locked in the building. It was basically Leah holding the key between me and the exit and signs for tips are prominently and loudly placed all around the walls. It was not a service worthy of a tip. I am hopeful that other masseuses are more skilled given the number of positive reviews this place has. But my own experience was disappointing and left me feeling gross and in need of a shower. read more

THE BEST!!! The best massage in town. I've gotten deep tissue when I need knots worked out, I've gotten Swedish when I need relaxation, and I've gotten Thai when I've skipped yoga and need a good stretch. They have all been excellent! I never leave reviews on yelp, but this was super necessary. This place is no-nonsense, straight to the point, amazingly clean, and really a hidden gem in West Los Angeles. I almost don't want to share it. The place seems to fill up quickly so make sure you make a reservation beforehand to ensure a spot! I'm still thinking about my massage yesterday, I could swear I was levitating. I came in because I had been uncomfortably nauseous for the past two days and thought something might be wrong with my back. It turns out that I was right, my spine seemed to be misaligned. I could feel Patty clearing my knots and digestion system with incredible care, and after the treatment I felt immediately better. I feel like a weight has been lifted from my body. A nice little touch is that the tables are heated, which made every movement feel like a little hug. I will be definitely coming back, I can't wait to treat myself again! It's good to know that there will be a comfortable place to return to when i'm feeling in need of a little TLC. Thank you Patty and the rest of the Sawadee spa team for making my Sunday a memorable self-care day! read more

Just not good. The massage was sooo bad. Barely any oils or lotions were used so the uncomfortable texture from the person's elbows and feet were so unpleasant and scratching me. I have had many Thai massages before at other places, and they always put the sheet between you and their feet when walking on you. This person just walked on my back with her bare feet and it felt so gross. All I wanted to do afterwards was leave and shower. I ended up cutting the massage in half and getting out of there. 2 stars because the staff was nice and the prices are reasonable. I won't be going back. read more

I loved, loved this place. My boyfriend and I went for a couples massage at 7:30. Here is the rundown: Parking : There is plenty of parking in the back. Reservation : I made an appointment late Friday evening and the lady whom answered the phone was very accommodating and was able to get me a same day appointment. Massage: We went in for the couples massage and it was great. We got the combination massages which is Swedish and Thai. Inside the decor is very nice and clean. My masseuse was excellent. He focused on my problem areas and made me feel great. Cost : You can't beat the cost especially in the Westside. We received a full hour combination couples massage for $100 dollars so $50 dollars per person. Price was very reasonable and the massage was excellent. Place gets 5 stars!!!!!! read more

Sawadee Thai Spa - Massage Near Me - Los Angeles, California

Overall, decent massage at a fairly affordable price (~$60). Nice ambiance, although very thin walls, and nice masseuse. There was a lot of rubbing with the palms and rolling with the forearms rather than kneading with fingers. At many points, it felt like she was just "foam rolling" my muscles using her arms. The masseuse was very inconsistent with the pressure for my combination massage. Perfect on my legs but too hard on my back. I almost couldn't breathe when she was doing my back. She thought I got the 90 min massage when I only wanted to do 60, which might have explained why she spent the first 30-40 minutes massaging my legs and butt. She actually did a great job on my legs and butt, but my main problem areas were my shoulders and back, as I imagine is the case for most people. But she spent a total of maybe 10 minutes on my shoulders and back. Two things caught me by surprise: at one point she stretched my legs out by having one of her feet in between my legs and kicking my crotch as she stretched me - that was not very comfortable. At another point, after I turned onto my back, she started massaging my breasts. It was professional, but it would have been nice to get a heads up first. Tip: Tell them what areas you want to focus on before you start. And maybe get the deep tissue massage, which is slightly more expensive, if you want actual massaging and kneading of your muscles instead of just rolling them. read more

Summary: Definitely impressed by my experience here! I think I've found a new regular massage spot and will be asking for my man Aun again! A bit about me: I recently started a new physical activity and my body had started protesting in many ways, so I decided to book myself a last minute massage. I typically like a lot of pressure and deep tissue massages. Location: Clean, cool Thai decor, small parking lot in the back. Nice receptionist in the front who helped me decide on my massage type (and also was super nice about me getting lost and being late). I thought the rooms were a bit cold but when I got on the bed there was a heating pad and I never even noticed the cold. Also a lot of comments mention this but there is a gap between the walls and the ceiling in each of the rooms so sound travels easily. I know other people were present but I didn't hear a lot of chatter or noise. I think the staff is very conscious of this fact and my masseuse seemed to make efforts to keep voices low and cut idle chatter short (not a huge bother for me. Who wants to chat during a massage anyway?) Massage: I did a 60 minute deep tissue massage and got a male masseuse named ?Ahn and I cannot sing this man's praises enough! He was perhaps a bit terse and basically escaped the room the second the massage was done so I couldn't check that I got his name right but that doesn't matter because the massage was FANTASTIC. He has crazy strong fingers, was really efficient, had perfect pressure right from the outset and I never had to ask for any modification. I told him my trouble areas (left leg and arm and right forearm) and he did not disappoint. My bones typically don't crack but he managed to crack my EVERYTHING (spine, wrists, shoulders, you name it) and my body felt so much looser afterwards. I also have a tendency towards the end of the 60 minutes to start feeling like I'm hoping certain areas don't get missed but I can happily say that the thought never even crossed my mind this time. He covered all the areas I asked and also all of my usual tension spots as well. Came out feeling tenderized, loose, and with significantly less pain than when I went in. read more
