This place has a lot of amazing reviews so I was excited to try it out. Unfortunately, it didn't live up to the expectations at all. The massage was not good - it was basically just someone rubbing a lot of lotion on me, and it felt like no massage techniques were used. I asked for stronger pressure at one point and they gave about 5% more effort for a few minutes. Based on the reviews, maybe I just got a bad masseuse - but you only get one first impression so each service should be good quality. Aside from that, all of the staff was nice. They could do some small upgrades to the space to make it feel more cleanly, like repainting the walls as they seemed to have quite a bit of scuffs/damage/dirt. The valet parking situation is also quite annoying. It doesn't feel necessary for the plaza, and the validation provided from the business does not cover the length of 90 min massages so you end up needing to pay $5 for parking. read more

Massage Palacio: they have your cell # pegged as: bad tipper, good tipper, picky, late, etc and don't answer your call if you are pegged as undesirable. Front desk/ reception etiquette is the worst. only one therapist is worth going, rest are god -awful, with no concentrated/ focused/directed hands, just foo foo touch. read more

I had a few hours to kill and really wanted a massage, so I reached out to this spot to make an appointment. I called twice and they didn't pick up but they texted me right away and scheduled something through text. I opted for a 30 minute massage since I was short on time. When I arrived I was kindly greeted and waited a few minutes to be taken in. It's a very small location and I was in the room closest to the entrance - so I could hear everything going on outside. I believe the lady who gave my massage was named Anne or Anna. She mainly worked on my back, neck, and shoulders which was exactly what I needed. Honestly, for 30 minutes it was a great massage. She checked in with me multiple times throughout which I appreciated. Overall I had a good experience here and would recommend if you're in the area. read more

This was the best massage I've had in recent years and at an unbelievable price. My masseuse was Beena and she applied just the right about of pressure. She also checked in with me periodically to make sure it wasn't too much. The place is clean and though the rooms are only closed with a curtain, it's pretty quiet. Had the massage yesterday and wanted to wait until today to see how I feel the day after. Woke up this morning and my body feels fresh but I can tell a difference. They told me to go back in a couple of days since I was so tight on my neck and shoulders. My body was light and didn't feel like I needed to stretch much. This place has the most affordable prices so I was shocked when it ended up being an AMAZING massage. I've gone back several times since my first. The reason it isn't five stars is because this place doesn't have doors in the rooms so you can hear everything, making it not so relaxing, but honestly it felt so amazing that it didn't make the experience that much worse. This place is within walking distance from my house. I was in need of a massage because my lower back was hurting. I did my usual yelp search and found that they have a great deal during the day for massage ( only $39). What a deal. It was very easy to make an appointment, I called 45 minutes before I went and they were able to take me in. I got the combination massage, both oil and little bit of thai. The lady was constantly checking with me to make sure I was not experiencing too much pain. Honestly, my back pain was gone the next day. Not relaxing at all. People working there talking loud, phones ring. My masseuse was a nice girl but she really was not good at all. Made my neck pain worse, gave me a headache from massaging my head way too hard... nit enough pressure on other parts and too much pressure on more delicate parts. NEVER going back! This is a PSA. This is not a great place if: You value your time and expect the service provider to also respect your time. I had my last two appointments cancelled/told to come back hours later AFTER I arrived for my scheduled services. First time, ok, it can happen. Second time (and the man at the reception claiming that I never made the appointment until I showed him the texts and then switching the story to "the texts didn't count" because he wasn't responsible), I'm never ever coming back. They consistently overbook to maximize profit, and the customer is somehow left to deal with it. This is a great place if: You don't have much demands on your time, and you can afford to waste time/fuel driving back and forth (or walk, scoot or bike) to get a service that you may or may not actually get. In the interest of fairness and full disclosure, the massages (if you actually get to have one) are actually quite good. read more

Professional, Massage Palacio offers a wide-variety of massage services. Want a softer type of massage? Get the Swedish. Want a deep-tissue intense massage targeting certain joint pain? Get the deep-tissue massage. And if you want to try a hybrid of both, there's also a unique hot stone massage and aromatherapy, etc. Usually, when it comes to the Thai massages, I feel their best services are associated with their super-ultra-mega high-octane, rubs. Therefore, I always purchase the Deep-tissue. Customer be forewarned though, this is not for the faint of heart. The therapist will iron out the knots and those soreness zones with such an overly derMatic intense technique, that perhaps you might have to adjust the intensity level; dialing it back from a 9 or a 10 to a 6 or 7. And while this massage is a bit more expensive than other comparable Thai massages in the area, I feel my therapist was a lot more precise in her masseuse technique enough that it can justify the premium. A 90 minute deep-tissue is 95$, plus a tip. In all, you probably should total the bill to $115 at the very least. The main weakness: This place has one weakness that is quite conspicuous and can be irritating those that want complete relaxation: Rooms are not closed fully. Meaning, there's a partition separating the main hallway to every massage room. So, you're going to hear every customer patronizing and defraying the cost of their bill, and other non-distinct chatters of the ambient noises. If you came here for a deep-tissue, this may or may not be a problem, because relaxation is secondary to the 'healing' 'adjustment' factor. But if you're coming here to relax (possibly with a softer Swedish massage), you may find this downside so unappealing, that it's not really conducive to a fully relaxed experience and you might want to try another parlor more closed system. read more

I am happy to support them. The services are also so reasonable, less expensive than other massage places offering the same services. Highly recommended. I made an appointment for 7pm and set aside time in my day. I receive a text message to come in later. As an explanation, they said the person before me came in later than expected. I wouldn't say that I had high expectations of The Massage Palacio, but seeing that one of the Yelpers wrote they provide the best massages in LA and maybe even Thailand, I was hopeful to get some relief from all the muscle pain I've been enduring due to packing and moving. My partner and I came here on a Sunday afternoon and found the premises cleaner than most Thai massage places. We both requested for deep tissue massage - his massage therapist was Zina and mine was Zara. Right off the bat, I could tell that my partner was going to get a better massage than me. Before starting the massage, Zina asked my partner which areas he would like to focus on. Zara did not bother to say anything, so I volunteered the information without her asking. On to the actual massage. Zara never bothered to check in with me at any point of the massage. She would alternate between lightly stroking me with her fingers and stabbing me really hard with her elbow. There was zero consistency in her pressure. I gave her feedback throughout the massage, but she would simply adjust to the other extreme and this was extremely frustrating. I've never had a worse massage. After the massage, the lady at the reception asked if we enjoyed the service. I told her the truth that my massage was terrible and asked for my therapist's name so I could make sure not to get her as my therapist should we decide to return. She said sorry, but charged me full price for the service anyway. I never ever do this, but I only tipped Zara 10% - purely because the massage itself was cheap to begin with and I felt bad to not tip at all. 3 stars only because my partner enjoyed his massage. If you're looking for a good and affordable massage, I recommend Thai Sabai or Mendme. read more

I've been to The Massage Palacio two times now. Both times, I was able to call in and get an appointment for later that day. I got the combination massage both times by different masseuses, both of which left me sore the next day! I would say that I'm satisfied with my experiences here, but something about them lacks memorability. In fact, the most memorable thing about this establishment is their abundance of signs reminding me not to inquire about sex. I would still come here in the future, just out of convenience - the location and hours are good, they take credit card (for a small fee), it's easy to make an appointment, and the massage is pretty decent. read more

I was recently here for a lunch hour massage. So close to work! I had no idea something so good was just a few blocks away. My neck and back were killing me, so I did a little research only to discover this little gem. I walked over during my lunch hour and was helped right away. That $39/hour deal is makes it very hard to pass up a massage. My angel/massuer was Cindy (If I remember correctly). I had her work on my neck and back, and it was incredible. She's super friendly too. I was still half asleep when I walked back to the office. Sadly, I was half asleep the entire afternoon lol. I've been a regular customer for almost 2 years, some of the best massages I've had anywhere. When the shutdown hit I missed massages so much. They wear masks the entire time, the rooms are very private and have a plastic shower curtain in the doorways. If you book between 11am-2pm they offer discounted rates currently $39/hr or $59 for 90min which is what I get. Try a few different therapists to find the massage you like best, then you can request them each time. So happy they are open and within walking distance. read more
