Cringey spa - beware they send texts at random inappropriate hours in the evening asking if you want to come by for an appt. I've had to ask them several times to remove my number and stop sending me texts. The massage room is inside some kind of jiu jitsu gym. Belle was my masseuse and we just talked the entire time. It was like we were old friends just catching up. I was having a stressful week so I looked up a Thai massage place nearby. Belle told me that they just opened about a month ago and moved from a different place. So they have been opened for two months now. She said she loves the energy and people of the neighborhood and I agree! Belle loves traveling and has been to almost every state, so you should definitely talk about traveling with her because she's an expert! English is her second language but her English is really great, so don't worry about the language barrier at all! My body and muscles are usually tense and tight because I work out most days of the week and probably due to dress as well. However, Belle was able to get my knots out and made me feel so much better and taken care of. We also had so many laughs! It was a really memorable experience and I will definitely come back. I'm actually going back later this afternoon! Tips and directions It's a bit hard to find. Initially, when I was driving towards it, I was looking around while inside my car to see where it is so I can find a proper parking spot. I saw the big orange Thai massage sign on the second floor so I parked near it. There's also signs on the grass on the side of the building. You have to take the stairs to the left when you walk into the entrance. You should see a restaurant in front. If you're like me, you may go inside the gates and turn around in a circle looking confused and lost, then walk back out and check your Maps again to see where the massage place is. And then you walk back in and you turn your head to the left and you see the stairs! Then you walk all the way at the end. It sounds like a lot of walking but it's not, I promise! Highly recommend this massage place!!! Perfect for full time stressed out UCLA students! Also, Belle and I were talking about the possibility of them offering a student discount and she said she will think about it! My experience was based upon professionalism. I know, a lot of people do only care about service, but I know about the massage techniques at itself. With service, it was a overall good experience. Very friendly. It just that they don't take credit cards, so I had to go to take my $60 as cash by the chase next door. But he trusted me, and even waited 10 minutes for me. Really friendly guy. Even a little difficult to understand. The massage on itself was viewed from a professional site as average, but still better skilled than the most. It was a tough week for me but when I called last minute to see if they had availability for walks ins, they said yes! I was there 10 minutes later getting one of the best massages of my life. I've never fallen asleep while getting a massage before , but here I was waking up to the masseuse letting me know it was time to flip over! My hour flew by today! Found this place in my neighborhood and decided to give it a try. I get thai deep tissue massages frequently and looking for a new "go to" place. I was excited for my first try but when I got there, the woman who was at the counter was coughing. As we live in a covid world, I am not a freak about it but If someone is not feeling well or coughing excessively for whatever reason, they should probably not be engaging with the public. I get into the room and get undressed for the massage. The woman outside continues to cough. The therapist enters my room and not more than 2 minutes later, she starts coughing. Granted she was wearing a mask, I ask if she's not feeling well or sick and she something along the lines of "not anymore".... I still believe that if you are excessively coughing and/or coughing after being sick or the have the remnants of being sick, don't engage w/ the public until you are 100% better and NOT coughing. I decide to leave and express and my issue w/ the therapist who seemingly understood my perspective. The woman at the front desk (owner?) however seemed to care less. In the world we now live and this being an environment where an illness due to close proximity and human touch can be transmitted, awareness has to be a paramount. read more

I was told the female therapists were fully booked since I called last minute. Not a problem as I've had skilled male therapists previously. What surprised me was that my therapist turned out to be the front desk receptionist. I'm assuming he was taught a few things in case he needed to fill in when the other licensed therapists were booked up. I had a truly odd experience where he basically just rubbed oil all over my body. I felt extremely uncomfortable and was overly exposed at certain points of the appointment. I asked if I could shorten my appointment to 30 minutes because I felt too awkward to ask to leave, but after about 20 minutes I couldn't take it any longer and said I was fine and wanted to end the appointment. I still paid full price and left a tip, but was a bit upset after this ordeal. I do feel bad writing this review as he seemed nice when he was at the front desk and I recall my first experience with the female therapist being pretty good, but having paid to have a man rub oil on me was not what I signed up for. If they were fully booked they should not have squeezed me in under the pretense that there would be an equally skilled therapist present for my appointment. They could have been honest and told me to reschedule, but instead I left feeling extremely uncomfortable and upset. I suggest making sure you're booking an appointment with a LICENSED therapist so you do not go through what I did. EDIT: To response below - please do not be mistaken. I do not mind oil or lotion. My point is that the man who was in the room with me just applied oil and rubbed my body in a very uncomfortable manner. There was no massage even though I requested more pressure. The man's name is Amir, not John. As mentioned in my review, I've had a massage here before with a female therapist and was satisfied. This is not my first time having a message at your establishment and I've tried many massages before (with skilled male therapists at other spas as well) so I know what I had that day is not standard practice. An appropriate response should have been an apology for putting me in that situation and making me feel almost violated. I did not want to go into detail, but there was one point where Amir exposed a part of my private area so I had to ask to move away from there and that was what ultimately made me leave early.
