Maintenance is another issue, bathrooms are a bit unsightly, the place feels dated, and what should be a lively location is a drab one instead. Bottom line: this is not a destination. There are some restaurants here that might work for an occasional lunch, but are also not top tier enough to be taken seriously. Watch a movie in the IMAX theater upstairs, but there aren't many reasons for the need to ever be here.

After a little research I learned about their business model and discovered they had a couple of other locations in Westchester and the NYC Metro Area at large. Recently, my Instagram feed has been flooded with ads for Wonder - it was almost incessant so I took that as a sign that I should check this place out. That being said, I decided to grab dinner here the other night. The best way to describe Wonder is that it's somewhat of a virtual food hall. While one would normally think of food hall as a large space with multiple stands that each serve a different cuisine, Wonder aims to offer the same concept but smaller where everything (assumingly) comes from one kitchen. While it varies from location to location, each Wonder offers food from different restaurants that cater to a variety of tastes and cuisine types. In browsing, I had not heard of most of these spots but some of them have celebrity chef names attached to them so maybe it's more on me. I ordered via the app and decided to get my meal from Walnut Lane by Jonathan Waxman. Specifically, I got the linguine with shrimp and hazelnut pesto and a side of broccolini. I also ordered two cookies from the Hungry Gnome. The app did a good job keeping track of my order status and when I got notification it was ready I headed over and picked it up - very seamless. As far as the food itself, it was just fine. The pasta and the broccolini were a little too salty for my personal taste, and the cookies were very processed; the latter had the ingredients listed on the bag and they were filled with preservatives. I was kinda skeptical of Wonder's business model as I find it difficult to produce quality food from all these different "restaurants" out of a single kitchen; my meal strengthened my hunch that a lot of the food is pre-packaged/pre-made with the finishing touches put in place in the kitchen. The food isn't cheap either, which adds insult to injury. I wasn't really served by anyone as that's not the business model, but in terms of my order being ready within the promised time they delivered. The location is a little odd though because it's hard to walk up - there are no paths from the street so I found myself walking over grass and mulch to reach the front entrance. Overall, I think Wonder fills a niche for some, but this really isn't a place for me. I'm glad I tried it, but I don't think I would return.

The price was $14.99 no matter what contents are in or out of the order - So just to let you know, the photos which happily depict an abundance of food and meat and delicious looking vegetable selections are NOT what is served up at the pick-up counter. You get about 2/3 of any photo - That's not saying the food is bad - it's just misrepresenting the description. Listen, it's a classic and consistently good, generous plates, and a whole lot of MSG Would I eat here all the time? No. But I'll always come back every now and then.

Out of the limited options I chose Bang, a Thai inspired food stall. The young lady behind the counter was helpful, explaining how their offer works. Choose a Bowl or Wrap to include protein, veggies, starch and get a free cup soup. I was going to just get the soup, but couldn't pass up this offer. My bowl consisted of a healthy serving of Brown Rice, Butter Chicken, Spinach with Mushrooms, Black Beans and Sweet Potatoes, all for a reasonable $14+. The Butter Chicken had a ton of flavor with a hint of sweetness. Sitting in the food court, I then tasted the soup which was also on the sweet side. I expected a little more aromatics plus a ton of Thai spicy heat. My scovill tolerance is high, so I went back and asked if they had any hot sauce. Didn't help, as all I could taste was sugar. The Black Beans and the Spinach mix were good. I only ate a spoonful or two and took everything home. Once home I doused everything in chili hot sauce, extra spices and a nice squeeze of lemon.
